ttbar production cross section in ppbar collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.8 TeV

Results are presented on a measurement of the ttbar pair production cross section in ppbar collisions at sqrt{s} = 1.8 TeV from nine independent decay channels. The data were collected by the Dzero experiment during the 1992-1996 run of the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. A total of 80 candidate events are observed with an expected background of 38.8 +- 3.3 events. For a top quark mass of 172.1 GeV/c^2, the measured cross section is 5.69 +- 1.21 (stat) +- 1.04 (sys) pb.

A direct measurement of W boson decay width

Based on 85 pb$^{-1}$ data of \ppbar collisions at $\sqrt{s}=1.8$ \tev\ collected using the DØdetector at Fermilab during the 1994-1995 run of the Tevatron, we present a direct measurement of the total decay width of the \wb\ boson, $Γ_W$. The width is determined from the transverse mass spectrum in the $W \to e+ν_e$ decay channel and found to be $Γ_W = 2.23^{+ 0.15}_{- 0.14}$(stat.)$\pm 0.10$(syst.)GeV, consistent with the expectation from the standard model.

Experimental Search for Chargino and Neutralino Production in Supersymmetry Models with a Light Gravitino

We search for inclusive high $E_T$ diphoton events with large missing transverse energy in $p\bar{p}$ collisions at $\sqrt{s}$=1.8 TeV. Such events are expected from pair production of charginos and neutralinos within the framework of the minimal supersymmetric standard model with a light gravitino. No excess of events is observed. In that model, and assuming gaugino mass unification at the GUT scale, we obtain a 95% CL exclusion region in the supersymmetry parameter space and lower mass bounds of 150 GeV/c$^2$ for the lightest chargino and 75 GeV/c$^2$ for the lightest neutralino.
