Exact analytical solution of Quantum Discord for Generalized Werner-Like Non-X states

The Generalized Werner-Like states (GWLs) are a class of non--X states in which the exchange operator is replaced for a generic one-rank projector in the Werner states. We obtained an exact analytical expression of Quantum Discord for these states. The optimization problem involved is solved by giving an analytical expression, in exact form for the conditional entropy. We compared the Quantum Discord (QD) with the Entanglement of Formation (EoF) for the same states. The pure states of GWLs with equal concurrence have the same QD and EoF.

Exact analytical solution of Entanglement of Formation and Quantum Discord for Werner state and Generalized Werner-Like states

We obtained analytical expressions for Entangled of Formation (EoF) and Quantum Discord (QD) of Werner states and Generalized Werner-Like states. The optimization problem involved under the exact analytical form is obtained for both quantities. In order to illustrate the importance of our results we studied the EoF and the QD of these states. Using discrete formulation of continue states with the $f-$deformed coherent states obtained as deformed annihilation operator coherent states and as deformed displacement operator coherent states. The EoF and QD of bipartite Werner-Like states $f-$deformed coherent states are studied for the P\"{o}schl-Teller, Morse and quantum dot deformed potentials. The result obtained are compared with the case of bipartite Werner-Like coherent states.

Statistical model analysis of hadron yields in proton-nucleus and heavy-ion collisions at SIS 18 energies

The HADES data from p+Nb collisions at center of mass energy of $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$= 3.2 GeV are analyzed by employing a statistical model. Accounting for the identified hadrons $\pi^0$, $\eta$, $\Lambda$, $K^{0}_{s}$, $\omega$ allows a surprisingly good description of their abundances with parameters $T_{chem}=(99\pm11)$ MeV and $\mu_{b}=(619\pm34)$ MeV, which fits well in the chemical freeze-out systematics found in heavy-ion collisions. In supplement we reanalyze our previous HADES data from Ar+KCl collisions at $\sqrt{s_{NN}}$= 2.6 GeV with an updated version of the statistical model. We address equilibration in heavy-ion collisions by testing two aspects: the description of yields and the regularity of freeze-out parameters from a statistical model fit. Special emphasis is put on feed-down contributions from higher-lying resonance states which have been proposed to explain the experimentally observed $\Xi^-$ excess present in both data samples.

A Study of Shell Model Neutron States in $^{207,209}Pb$ Using the Generalized Woods-Saxon plus Spin-Orbit Potential

The experimental binding energies of single-particle and single-hole neutron states belonging to neutron shells that extend from N = 126 to 184 and 82 to 126 respectively, have been reproduced by solving the Schr\"{o}dinger equation with a potential that has two components: the generalized Woods-Saxon (GWS) potential and the spin-orbit (SO) coupling term. The GWS potential contains the traditional WS potential plus a term (SU) whose intensity reaches a maximum in the nuclear surface. Our results indicate the existence of a explicit relationship between the strength of the SU potential and the orbital angular momentum quantum number $\ell$ of the state. This dependence has been used to make reasonable predictions for the excitation energy centroids of states located inside and outside the neutron shells investigated. Comparisons are made with results reported in previous investigations.

Quantum Discord of $f$-Deformed Bipartite Entangled Oscillators

Quantum correlations in compound systems are of great importance, and they are fundamental resource for the development of quantum computation protocols and quantum information. In this work we construct bipartite pure coherent states using the $f$-deformed oscillator formalism and the Barut-Girardello deformation function. Also we construct the extension of these systems to mixed states using Werner like states. For the states constructed, we study the dependence of the entanglement and quantum discord upon the deformation and mixed parameters.

Study of the quasi-free $np \to np \pi^+\pi^-$ reaction with a deuterium beam at 1.25 GeV/nucleon

The tagged quasi-free $np \to np\pi^+\pi^-$ reaction has been studied experimentally with the High Acceptance Di-Electron Spectrometer (HADES) at GSI at a deuteron incident beam energy of 1.25 GeV/nucleon ($\sqrt s \sim$ 2.42 GeV/c for the quasi-free collision). For the first time, differential distributions for $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ production in $np$ collisions have been collected in the region corresponding to the large transverse momenta of the secondary particles. The invariant mass and angular distributions for the $np\rightarrow np\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ reaction are compared with different models. This comparison confirms the dominance of the $t$-channel with $\Delta\Delta$ contribution. It also validates the changes previously introduced in the Valencia model to describe two-pion production data in other isospin channels, although some deviations are observed, especially for the $\pi^{+}\pi^{-}$ invariant mass spectrum. The extracted total cross section is also in much better agreement with this model. Our new measurement puts useful constraints for the existence of the conjectured dibaryon resonance at mass M$\sim$ 2.38 GeV and with width $\Gamma\sim$ 70 MeV.

ECFA Detector R&D Panel, Review Report

Two special calorimeters are foreseen for the instrumentation of the very forward region of an ILC or CLIC detector; a luminometer (LumiCal) designed to measure the rate of low angle Bhabha scattering events with a precision better than 10$^{-3}$ at the ILC and 10$^{-2}$ at CLIC, and a low polar-angle calorimeter (BeamCal). The latter will be hit by a large amount of beamstrahlung remnants. The intensity and the spatial shape of these depositions will provide a fast luminosity estimate, as well as determination of beam parameters. The sensors of this calorimeter must be radiation-hard. Both devices will improve the e.m. hermeticity of the detector in the search for new particles. Finely segmented and very compact electromagnetic calorimeters will match these requirements. Due to the high occupancy, fast front-end electronics will be needed. Monte Carlo studies were performed to investigate the impact of beam-beam interactions and physics background processes on the luminosity measurement, and of beamstrahlung on the performance of BeamCal, as well as to optimise the design of both calorimeters. Dedicated sensors, front-end and ADC ASICs have been designed for the ILC and prototypes are available. Prototypes of sensor planes fully assembled with readout electronics have been studied in electron beams.

Performance of fully instrumented detector planes of the forward calorimeter of a Linear Collider detector

Detector-plane prototypes of the very forward calorimetry of a future detector at an e+e- collider have been built and their performance was measured in an electron beam. The detector plane comprises silicon or GaAs pad sensors, dedicated front-end and ADC ASICs, and an FPGA for data concentration. Measurements of the signal-to-noise ratio and the response as a function of the position of the sensor are presented. A deconvolution method is successfully applied, and a comparison of the measured shower shape as a function of the absorber depth with a Monte-Carlo simulation is given.

An upper limit on hypertriton production in collisions of Ar(1.76 AGeV)+KCl

A high-statistic data sample of Ar(1.76 AGeV)+KCl events recorded with HADES is used to search for a hypertriton signal. An upper production limit per centrality-triggered event of $1.04$ x $10^{-3}$ on the $3\sigma$ level is derived. Comparing this value with the number of successfully reconstructed $\Lambda$ hyperons allows to determine an upper limit on the ratio $N_{_{\Lambda}^3H}/N_{\Lambda}$, which is confronted with statistical and coalescence-type model calculations.

pK+\Lambda final state: towards the extraction of the ppK- contribution

The reaction p(@3.5\,GeV)+p -> p+\Lambda + K^+ can be studied to search for the existence of kaonic bound states like ppK^- leading to this final state. This effort has been motivated by the assumption that in p+p collisions the \Lambda(1405) resonance can act as a doorway to the formation of the kaonic bound states. The status of this analysis within the HADES collaboration, with particular emphasis on the comparison to simulations, is shown in this work and the deviation method utilized by the DISTO collaboration in a similar analysis is discussed. The outcome suggests the employment of a partial wave analysis to disentangle the different contributions to the measured pK^+\Lambda final state.

XMM-Newton and Chandra observations of G272.2-3.2. Evidence of stellar ejecta in the central region

We aim to study the spatial distribution of the physical and chemical properties of the X-ray emitting plasma of the supernova remnant G272.2-3.2, in order to get important constraints on its ionization stage, on the progenitor supernova explosion, and the age of the remnant. We report combined XMM-Newton and Chandra images, median photon energy map, silicon and sulfur equivalent width maps, and a spatially resolved spectral analysis for a set of regions of the remnant. Complementary radio and H{\alpha} observations, available in the literature, are also used to study the multi-wavelength connection of all detected emissions. The X-ray morphology of the remnant displays an overall structure with an almost circular appearance, a centrally brightened hard region, with a peculiar elongated hard structure oriented along the northwest-southeast direction of the central part. The X-ray spectral study of the regions shows distinct K{\alpha} emission-line features of metal elements, confirming the thermal origin of the emission. The X-ray spectra are well represented by an absorbed VNEI thermal plasma model, which produces elevated abundances of Si, S, and Fe in the circular central region, typical of ejecta material. The values of abundances found in the central region of the SNR favor a Type Ia progenitor for this remnant. The outer region shows abundances below the solar value, as expected if the emission arises from the shocked ISM. The relatively low ionization timescales suggests non-equilibrium ionization. We identify the location of the contact discontinuity. Its distance to the outer shock is higher than expected for expansion in a uniform media, what suggests that the remnant spent most of its time in a more dense medium.

Production of Sigma{\pm}pi?pK+ in p+p reactions at 3.5 GeV beam energy

We study the production of Sigma^+-pi^+-pK^+ particle quartets in p+p reactions at 3.5 GeV kinetic beam energy. The data were taken with the HADES experiment at GSI. This report evaluates the contribution of resonances like Lambda(1405$, Sigma(1385)^0, Lambda(1520), Delta(1232), N^* and K^*0 to the Sigma^+- pi^-+ p K+ final state. The resulting simulation model is compared to the experimental data in several angular distributions and it shows itself as suitable to evaluate the acceptance corrections properly.

Determination of the $\mathbf{\Sigma(1385)^{0}/\Lambda(1405)}$ ratio in p+p collisions at 3.5 GeV

The aim of the present analysis is to determine the relative production cross sections of the $\Lambda$(1405) and $\Sigma(1385)^{0}$ resonances in p+p collisions at E$_{kin}$=3.5 GeV measured with HADES. Upper and lower limits have been determined for the ratio $\sigma_{(\Sigma(1385)^{0}+p+K^{+})}/\sigma_{(\Lambda(1405)+p+K^{+})}=0.76_{-0.26}^{+0.54}$. The knowledge of this ratio is an essential input for the analysis of the decay $\Lambda(1405)\rightarrow\Sigma^{\pm}\pi^{\mp}$, where an unambiguous separation of the $\Lambda$(1405) and $\Sigma(1385)^{0}$ signals is not possible.

Inclusive dielectron spectra in p+p collisions at 3.5 GeV

We present the inclusive invariant-mass, transverse momentum and rapidity distributions of dielectrons (e$^{+}$e$^{-}$ pairs) in p+p interactions at 3.5 GeV beam kinetic energy. In the vector-meson mass region, a distinct peak corresponding to direct $\omega$ decays is reconstructed with 2% mass resolution. The data is compared to predictions from three model calculations. Due to the large acceptance of the HADES apparatus for $e^{+}e^{-}$ invariant masses above 0.2 GeV/$c^{2}$ and for transverse pair momenta p$_{t}$ $ <$ 1 GeV/$c$, acceptance corrections are to a large extent model independent. This allows us to extract from dielectron data for the first time at this energy the inclusive production cross sections for light vector mesons. Inclusive production cross sections for $\pi^o$ and $\eta$ mesons are also reported. The obtained results will serve as an important reference for the study of vector meson production in proton-nucleus and heavy-ion collisions. Furthermore, using this data, an improved value for the upper bound of the branching ratio for direct $\eta$ decays into the electron-positron channel is obtained.

Baryonic resonances close to the Kbar-N threshold: the case of Sigma(1385)^+ in pp collisions

We present results of an exclusive measurement of the first excited state of the Sigma hyperon, Sigma(1385)^+, produced in p+p -> Sigma^+ + K^+ + n at 3.5 GeV beam energy. The extracted data allow to study in detail the invariant mass distribution of the Sigma(1385)^+. The mass distribution is well described by a relativistic Breit-Wigner function with a maximum at m_0 = 1383.2 +- 0.9 MeV/c^2 and a width of 40.2 +- 2.1 MeV/c^2. The exclusive production cross-section comes out to be 22.27 +- 0.89 +- 1.56 +3.07 -2.10 mu b. Angular distributions of the Sigma(1385)^+ in different reference frames are found to be compatible with the hypothesis that 33 % of Sigma(1385)^+ result from the decay of an intermediate Delta^{++} resonance.

Dielectron production in Ar+KCl collisions at 1.76A GeV

We present results on dielectron production in Ar+KCl collisions at 1.76A GeV. For the first time $\omega$ mesons could be reconstructed in a heavy-ion reaction at a bombarding energy which is well below the production threshold in free nucleon-nucleon collisions. The omega multiplicity has been extracted and compared to the yields of other particles, in particular of the phi meson. At intermediate e+e- invariant masses, we find a strong enhancement of the pair yield over a reference spectrum from elementary nucleon-nucleon reactions suggesting the onset of non-trivial effects of the nuclear medium. Transverse-mass spectra and angular distributions have been reconstructed in three invariant mass bins. In the former unexpectedly large slopes are found for high-mass pairs. The latter, in particular the helicity-angle distributions, are largely consistent with expectations for a pair cocktail dominated at intermediate masses by delta Dalitz decays.

Single and double pion production in np collisions at 1.25 GeV with HADES

The preliminary results on charged pion production in np collisions at an incident beam energy of 1.25 GeV measured with HADES are presented. The np reactions were isolated in dp collisions at 1.25 GeV/u using the Forward Wall hodoscope, which allowed to register spectator protons. The results for np -> pppi-, np -> nppi+pi- and np -> dpi+pi- channels are compared with OPE calculations. A reasonable agreement between experimental results and the predictions of the OPE+OBE model is observed.

Cross section in deuteron-proton elastic scattering at 1.25 GeV/u

First results of the differential cross section in dp elastic scattering at 1.25 GeV/u measured with the HADES over a large angular range are reported. The obtained data corresponds to large transverse momenta, where a high sensitivity to the two-nucleon and three-nucleon short-range correlations is expected.
