Color Lie rings and PBW deformations of skew group algebras

We investigate color Lie rings over finite group algebras and their universal enveloping algebras. We exhibit these universal enveloping algebras as PBW deformations of skew group algebras: Every color Lie ring over a finite group algebra with a particular Yetter-Drinfeld structure has universal enveloping algebra that is a quantum Drinfeld orbifold algebra. Conversely, every quantum Drinfeld orbifold algebra of a particular type arising from the action of an abelian group is the universal enveloping algebra of some color Lie ring over the group algebra. One consequence is that these quantum Drinfeld orbifold algebras are braided Hopf algebras.

Rigidity of down-up algebras with respect to finite group coactions

If a nontrivial finite group coacts on a graded noetherian down-up algebra $A$ inner faithfully and homogeneously, then the fixed subring is not isomorphic to $A$. Therefore graded noetherian down-up algebras are rigid with respect to finite group coactions, in the sense of Alev-Polo. An example is given to show that this rigidity under group coactions does not have all the same consequences as the rigidity under group actions.

Shephard-Todd-Chevalley Theorem for skew polynomial rings

We prove the following generalization of the classical Shephard-Todd-Chevalley Theorem. Let $G$ be a finite group of graded algebra automorphisms of a skew polynomial ring $A:=k_{p_{ij}}[x_1,...,x_n]$. Then the fixed subring $A^G$ has finite global dimension if and only if $G$ is generated by quasi-reflections. In this case the fixed subring $A^G$ is isomorphic a skew polynomial ring with possibly different $p_{ij}$'s. A version of the theorem is proved also for abelian groups acting on general quantum polynomial rings.

Rigidity of Graded Regular Algebras

We prove a graded version of Alev-Polo's rigidity theorem: the homogenization of the universal enveloping algebra of a semisimple Lie algebra and the Rees ring of the Weyl algebras $A_n(k)$ cannot be isomorphic to their fixed subring under any finite group action. We also show the same result for other classes of graded regular algebras including the Sklyanin algebras.
