A study of evolution of near-earth daemon's fluxes with using Dark Electron Multipliers (DEMs)

DEMs have been used to experimental studying the temporal evolution of the March maximum of fluxes of near-Earth daemons. It is shown that part of objects from near-Earth almost circular heliocentric orbits (NEACHOs), from which a rather intense flux proceeds during only about four weeks, forms in the second half of March the population in geocentric Earth-surface-crossing orbits (GESCOs). The resistance of the Earth's matter results in that GESCO objects sink into the Earth's interior, so that the GESCO population nearly disappears by the end of April.

Daemons: Detection at Pulkovo, Gran Sasso, and Soudan

During a week of the March maximum in 2011, two oppositely installed direction-sensitive TEU-167d Dark Electron Multipliers (DEMs) recorded a flux of daemons from the near-Earth almost circular heliocentric orbits (NEACHOs). The flux measured from above is f \approx (8\pm3)\times10^-7 cm^-2 s^-1, and that from below is twice smaller. The difference may be due both to specific design features of the TEUs themselves, and to dissimilarities in the slope of trajectories along which objects are coming from above or from below. It is shown that the daemon paradigm enables a quantitative interpretation of DAMA and CoGeNT experiments with no additional hypotheses. Both the experiments record a daemon flux of f ~ 10^-6 cm^-2 s^-1 from strongly elongated Earth-crossing heliocentric orbits (SEECHOs), predecessors of NEACHOs. Recommendations are given for processing of DAMA/LIBRA data, which unambiguously suggest that, in approximately half of cases (when there occur double events in the detector, rejected in processing under a single-hit criterion), the signals being recorded are successively excited by a single SEECHO object along a path of ~1 m, i.e., this is not a WIMP. It is noted that due regard to cascade events and pair interaction of ions will weaken the adverse influence exerted by the blocking effect on the channeling of iodine ions knocked out in NaI(Tl) crystal. This influence will become not so catastrophic as it follows from simplified semi-analytical models of the process: one might expect the energy of up to ~10% of primary recoil iodine ions will be converted to the scintillation light.

Towards Special Daemon-Sensitive Electron Multiplier: Positive Outcome of March 2009 Experiment

Results of the experiments on daemon detection performed in St-Petersburg in March 2009 are presented. Adding the data obtained with the daemon-sensitive FEU-167-1 PM tubes to the data amassed in our previous measurements (starting from 2000) raises the confidence level of existence of the spring maximum in NEACHO (near-Earth almost circular heliocentric orbit) daemon flux to ~5Sigma. The first test experiments conducted with the "dark" electron multiplier tubes, - TEU-167 with a thick (~0.5 um) Al coating over all of the inner surface of the near-cathode multiplier section, including also its front screen, look encouraging. They provide supportive evidence for the existence of diurnal modulation of the daemon flux and offer ~3.4x10-7 cm-2s-1 for its lower limit in March, in good agreement with our earlier estimates and measurements.

Now the Dark Electron Multiplier does sense direction of the daemon motion

Detection of the September maximum in the primary near-Earth daemon flux at high (~60o) Northern latitudes by our set-up with a plane horizontal scintillator is plagued by purely geometric factors; indeed, because of the Earth's rotation axis being tilted, the daemons catching up with the Earth in outer Near-Earth, Almost Circular Heliocentric Orbits (NEACHOs) strike the Earth along close-to-horizontal paths. Nevertheless, application of only two oppositely oriented, specially designed "dark electron multipliers" of the type TEU-167d (only their dia.125-mm front disc is coated on the inside by a thick, ~0.5 um Al layer, which permits such multipliers to detect primarily daemons flying inside them from the base to the disc) has made it possible for us to detect in one experiment, at a confidence level of >3 sigma, a flux of daemons captured from NEACHOs into Geocentric Earth-Surface-Crossing Orbits, as well as to record a decrease in the velocity of these objects from ~10 to ~7 km/s in a characteristic time of ~1 month resulting from their being slowed down in transits through the Earth's body.

A search for a present-day candidate for the Comet P/Tunguska-1908

The reason for the horizontal turn of the Tunguska-1908 bolide trajectory remains difficult to understand. It finds explanation, however, in the New Explosive Cosmogony of minor bodies as having been caused by an explosion of a part (M up to 10^12 g) of the comet nucleus whose ices contained products of its electrolysis, 2H2+O2. In detonation, this part was repelled from the more massive unexploded nucleus remnant, changed the direction of its own motion by ~10^o and imparted its kinetic energy, in expanding and slowing down, to the air in producing an effect of a high-altitude explosion. Because there are no traces of a fall of the more massive remnant, one comes to the conclusion that on passing through the Earth's atmosphere it again entered a heliocentric orbit (the hypothesis of V.Vernadskiy, 1932). A search for this comet, P/Tunguska-1908, among the 6077 known NEAs shows the 2005NB56 object to be the most appropriate candidate for a number of its parameters (a size is ~ 170 m, P = 2.106 y, e = 0.473 and i = 6.8^o). Back integration of its orbit made without allowing for non-gravitational effects suggests that it had passed the Earth on June 27, 1908 at a distance of 0.06945 AU. It is quite possible that a proper inclusion of even fairly weak non-gravitational forces would make its orbit fit in parameters that of the Tunguska bolide.

DAMA/LIBRA findings urge replacement of the WIMP hypotheses by the daemon paradigm as a basis for experimental studies of DM objects

The simplest version of the daemon paradigm suggests the modulated 2-6-keV range events in DAMA/NaI and DAMA/LIBRA detectors are caused by the iodine ions knocked out elastically by the electrically neutral c-daemons moving with V = 30-50 km/s (c-daemon is a complex of negative daemon located in a remainder of formerly captured nucleus where the daemon decomposes nucleons one by one with ~10^-6 s mean interval). Furthermore, after the 2-6 keV event occurred, in subsequent ~10^-6 s, the c-daemon (which becomes negative during this time) recaptures new nucleus with resulting scintillations in ~10 MeV range! The last possibility was so far overlooked in the experiments as it did not stem from WIMP hypotheses. A modification of the NaI(Tl) experiments is suggested for revealing the effect described. Independently of the outcome, any obtained result will be important for refining the daemon paradigm further on.

Single-hit criterion in DAMA/LIBRA DM search and daemons - they are anything but weakly interacting

Our prediction that the more massive DAMA/LIBRA detector would detect a smaller number of events per unit of mass and time than the DAMA/NaI system has got confirmation. This is easy to understand, because DM objects are by far not the WIMPs of the Galactic halo that interact only weakly with matter but are apparently instead electrically charged Planckian objects, i.e., daemons which fall from Earth-crossing orbits with V = 30-50 km/s and undergo multiple interaction with condensed matter already in its outer layers, on a path of a few tens of cm. Therefore, one should use not compact massive detectors but rather systems with a large surface area, as we did to detect daemons with thin ZnS(Ag) scintillators. There are grounds to believe that correct use of the single-hit criterion in LIBRA should reveal DM particles with V = 30-50 km/s, and subsequently, with V = 10-15 km/s as well.

Channeling Effect and Improvement of the Efficiency of Charged Particle Registration with Crystal Scintillators

The importance is emphasized of taking into account the channeling along the low index crystallographic axes and planes of a part of low-energy (1-10 keV) recoil ions in measurements of their parameters with crystal scintillators of the type of NaI(Tl) etc. Because the nucleus stopping power in channels is low as compared with electronic stopping power, the light yield of the scintillator must be, accordingly, higher in the given case than that for ions having higher energy (tens keV and more), which lose most part of their energy via nuclear collisions outside channels. Hence, in particular, it follows that the DAMA/NaI observations in Gran Sasso of the annual modulation of the signal frequency in a narrow range of scintillations with an amplitude of 2-6 keV electron equivalent may be due to incidence onto the Earth of exceedingly massive particles (of the type of Planckian objects) from elongated Earth-crossing heliocentric orbits at a velocity of 30-50 km/s. In NaI(Tl), these particles create the iodine recoil ions with just the energy of 2-6 keV.

Dark Electric Matter Objects: History of Discovery, Modes of Interaction with Matter, Some Inferences and Prospects

Experiments with thin ZnS(Ag) scintillators provide evidence with C.L. > 99.99% for the existence of DArk Electric Matter Objects - daemons (presumably negatively charged Planckian particles with M ~ 10^-5 g) captured from the Galactic disk into near-Earth, almost circular heliocentric orbits. Their flux at V ~ 10-15 km/s was found to be as high as f > 10^-7 cm^-2 s^-1 and vary with P = 0.5 y, with maxima in March and September. A daemon flux f ~ 10^-7 - 10^-6 cm^-2 s^-1 is capable of accounting for the Troitsk anomaly in the tritium beta-spectrum and suggests its more pronounced manifestation in future KATRIN experiment. In view of the channeling effect on iodine recoil nuclei in the NaI(Tl) crystal, the DAMA/NaI experiment is also apparently detecting a flux of daemons, f ~ 6x10^-7 cm^-2 s^-1, but in this case of those falling with V = 30-50 km/s from strongly elongated, Earth-crossing heliocentric orbits oriented in the antapex direction, as a result of which the number of events detected in the 2-6-keV interval varies with P = 1 y.

Study of the spring and autumn daemon-flux maxima at the Baksan Neutrino Observatory

Detection of daemons in low-background conditions in September 2005 and March 2006 has provided evidence for the expected to occur at that times maxima in the flux of daemons with V ~ 10-15 km s-1, which hit the Earth from near-Earth, almost circular heliocentric orbits. The ability of some FEU-167-1 PM tubes with a thicker inner Al coating to detect directly daemon passage through them has also been demonstrated, an effect increasing ~100-fold the detector efficiency. As a result, the daemon flux recorded at the maxima was increased from ~10-9 to ~10-7 cm-2 s-1. The intensity and direction of the flux during maxima depend on the time of day and latitude of observations (therefore, synchronous measurements in the Northern and Southern Earth's hemispheres are desirable). All the experimental results obtained either support the conclusions following from the daemon paradigm or find a simple interpretation within it.

Deep Impact Mission to Tempel 1 Favours New Explosive Cosmogony of Comets

The assumption that short-period (SP) comets are fragments of massive icy envelopes of Ganymede-like bodies saturated by products of ice electrolysis that underwent global explosions provides a plausible explanation of all known manifestations of comets, including the jet character of outflows, the presence of ions in the vicinity of the nucleus, the bursts and splitting of cometary nuclei, etc., with solar radiation initiating burning of the products of electrolysis in the nucleus. As shown persuasively by numerical simulation carried out in hydrodynamic approximation, the shock wave initiated by the Deep Impact (DI) impactor in the cometary ice saturated originally by the electrolysis products 2H2 + O2 is capable of activating under certain conditions exothermal reactions (of the type O2 + H2 + organics = H2O + CO + HCN + other products of incomplete burning of organics including its light and heavy pyrolyzed compounds, soot, etc.), which will slow down shock wave damping (forced detonation) and increase many times the energy release. As a result, the measured energetics of ejections and outflows from the crater have to exceed the DI energetics. Analysis of different clusters of the DI experiment data confirms these conclusions and expectations and thus it favours the planetary origin of comets.

Observation of the March Maximum in the Daemon Flux from Neos in the Year 2005: New Efforts and New Effects

The experiments of 2005 aimed at detection of low-velocity (~10-15 km s-1) daemons falling on to the Earth's surface from Near-Earth, Almost Circular Heliocentric Orbits (NEACHOs) have corroborated once more the existence of the March maximum in their flux by raising its confidence level to 99.99%. In addition, these experiments permitted us to identify several FEU-167-1-type PM tubes, with a few times thicker inner Al coating, which appear to be capable to detect, without any scintillator, the crossing of negatively charged daemons. As a result, detection efficiency increases tens of times, thus raising the measured level of the March daemon flux to f > 0.5E-7 cm-2s-1.

Daemons, the "Troitsk anomaly" in tritium beta spectrum, and the KATRIN experiment

The "Troitsk anomaly" is a strange bump at the end of the tritium beta spectrum observed in electron antineutrino mass measurements. It reveals a half-year variation. The nature of the anomaly can be accounted for by interaction of negative DArk Electric Matter Objects - daemons detected by us with the Nb-containing superconducting coils of the gaseous tritium source of the setup. In crossing the system, the daemons, whose flux varies with a half-year period, drag away Nb-containing clusters and excite their nuclei and electronic shells to produce emission of five Auger electron lines within E = 18566-18572 eV. This yields an estimate for the daemon flux ~10-7-10-6 cm-2s-1. It is shown that in the KATRIN system (KArlsruhe TRItium Neutrino experiment) presently under construction the ratio of the daemon-stimulated Auger bump signal to the useful beta-signal should be larger than that in the Troitsk experiment. The potential of using slightly modified systems at Troitsk and Karlsruhe to study the daemons is pointed out.

Discovery of Daemons Makes Power Generation by Daemon-Assisted Catalysis of Light Nuclei Fusion in a Ball Lightning a Reality

In 1997, we proposed a model of the ball lightning (BL) whose activity is accounted for by energy release in the fusion of light nuclei, most probably, carbon in organic fibers (Proc. ISBL 97, p.157). The fusion is provided by catalytic action of superheavy negative particles making up the Galactic Dark Matter. We called them DArk Electric Matter Objects, or daemons. The daemons are assumed to be elementary black holes (M ~ 10^-5 g) carrying a charge of up to Ze = 10e. Experiments have culminated in 2000 by the discovery of daemons. We used the two-screen scintillation technique with a scintillator ZnS(Ag). Measurements showed the daemon flux striking the Earth to be ~10^-9 cm^-2s^-1 for an object velocity of as low as ~<10-30 km/s. The half-year periodicity of the flux was revealed, which can be assigned to daemons being captured into helio- and geocentric orbits as the Solar system moves through the DM background (see astro-ph/0402367). The next step in creating a daemon-mediated BL to achieve controlled energy generation through catalytic fusion of carbon nuclei will be a search for methods of capture and stable holding of a daemon, which could involve the use of the tip of a carbon fiber, as it apparently occurs in nature.

Galilean Satellites as Sites for Incipient Life, and the Earth as its Shelter

Numerous problems connected with an assumption of the life origin on the Earth do not arise on Galilean satellites. Here, in presence of a practically non-salt water and of a great deal (~5-10%) of abiogenic organics, a great diversity of conditions, which are unthinkable for the Earth, were realized more than once. They were caused by global electrochemical processes in the magnetic field presence what could entail an absolute enantiomeric synthesis. The subsequent explosions of the satellites' icy envelopes saturated by the electrolysis products resulted in appearance of hot massive atmospheres and warm deep oceans and ejection of the dirty ice fragments (=comet nuclei), what led to the material exchange with other bodies, etc.

Two years of detecting DM objects - the Solar system members

With a probability >99% there are grounds to believe that our works on detection of the Dark Electric Matter Objects (daemons), which were lauched in 1996, are crowned with success. The daemons are the relic elementary Planckian black holes(m~30 microgramme) carrying stable electric charge of Ze=10e. During the last two years, the detector made of two horizontal ZnS(Ag) screens of 1 m^2 area has been recording the correlated time-shifted scintillations corresponding to flux 10^-5 m^-2 s^-1 of extraordinary penetrating nuclear-active particles which moved both down and upward with velocity of only \~5-30 km/s. The flux experiences seasonal variations with maxima supposedly corresponding to the Earth transition through shadow and anti-shadow created by the Sun in its motion relative the Galaxy disk daemon population. An accumulation of negative daemons, which stimulate the proton decay in ~1 microsec, inside the Earth and the Sun is explaining a lot of previusly non-understandable facts.

astro-ph

The Daemon Kernel of the Sun

The daemon-stimulated proton decay is capable of providing an appreciable part of the Sun luminosity as well as nonelectron flavor component in the solar neutrino flux. This follows (1) from our experiments on detection of negative daemons in Earth-crossing orbits, which give ~1 microsec for the decay time of a daemon-containing proton, and (2) from an estimate of the total number of daemons which could be captured by the Sun from the Galactic disk (up to \~2.4E30). Because of their huge mass (~3E-5 g), the captured daemons form in the Sun's center a kernel a few cm in size. The protons diffuse into the kernel to decay there with a release of energy. Physically sound estimates of the parameters of the kernel can be obtained if it consists mainly of negative daemons. Proton decay maintains a high temperature of the daemon gas (up to \~1E11-1E12 K), which makes it physically collisionless and prevents kernel collapse into a black hole.
