The correction of hadronic nucleus polarizability to hyperfine structure of light muonic atoms

The calculation of hadronic polarizability contribution of the nucleus to hyperfine structure of muonic hydrogen and helium is carried out within the unitary isobar model and experimental data on the polarized structure functions of deep inelastic lepton-proton and lepton-deuteron scattering. The calculation of virtual absorption cross sections of transversely and longitudinally polarized photons by nucleons in the resonance region is performed in the framework of the program MAID.

Relativistic effects in the double S- and P-wave charmonium production in e^+e^- annihilation

On the basis of perturbative QCD and the relativistic quark model we calculate relativistic and bound state corrections in the production processes of a pair of S-wave and P-wave charmonium states. Relativistic factors in the production amplitude connected with the relative motion of heavy quarks and the transformation law of the bound state wave function to the reference frame of the moving S- and P-wave mesons are taken into account. For the gluon and quark propagators entering the production vertex function we use a truncated expansion in the ratio of the relative quark momenta to the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}$ up to the second order. The exact relativistic treatment of the wave functions makes all such second order terms convergent, thus allowing the reliable calculation of their contributions to the production cross section. Relativistic corrections to the quark bound state wave functions in the rest frame are considered by means of the Breit-like potential. It turns out that the examined effects change essentially the nonrelativistic results of the cross section for the reaction $e^++e^-\to J/Ψ(η_c)+χ_{cJ}(h_c)$ at the center-of-mass energy $\sqrt{s}=10.6$ GeV.

Fine and hyperfine structure of the muonic ^3He ion

On the basis of quasipotential approach to the bound state problem in QED we calculate the vacuum polarization, relativistic, recoil, structure corrections of orders $α^5$ and $α^6$ to the fine structure interval $ΔE^{fs}=E(2P_{3/2})-E(2P_{1/2})$ and to the hyperfine structure of the energy levels $2P_{1/2}$ and $2P_{3/2}$ in muonic $^3_2He$ ion. The resulting values $ΔE^{fs}= 144803.15 μeV$, $Δ\tilde E^{hfs}(2P_{1/2})=-58712.90 μeV$, $Δ\tilde E^{hfs}(2P_{3/2})=-24290.69 μeV$ provide reliable guidelines in performing a comparison with the relevant experimental data.
