Coherent subcategories of finitely generated $Λ$-modules

We explore some properties of wide subcategories of the category mod$\,(Λ)$ of finitely generated left $Λ$-modules, for some artin algebra $Λ.$ In particular we look at wide finitely generated subcategories and give a connection with the class of standard modules and standardly stratified algebras. Furthermore, for a wide class $\mathcal{X}$ in mod$\,(Λ),$ we give necessary and sufficient conditions to see that $\mathcal{X}=\mathrm{pres}\,(P),$ for some projective $Λ$-module $P;$ and finally, a connection with ring epimorphisms is given.

Igusa-Todorov functions for radical square zero algebras

We study the behaviour of the Igusa-Todorov functions for radical square zero algebras. We show that the left and the right $ϕ$-dimensions coincide, in this case. Some general results are given, but we concentrate more in the radical square zero algebras. Our study is based on two notions of hearth and member of a quiver $Q$. We give some bounds for the $ϕ$ and the $ψ$-dimensions and we describe the algebras for which the bound of $ψ$ is obtained. We also exhibit modules for which the $ϕ$-dimension is realised.

On the existence of a derived equivalence between a Koszul algebra and its Yoneda algebra

In this paper we focus on the relations between the derived categories of a Koszul algebra and its Yoneda algebra, in particular we want to consider the cases where these categories are triangularly equivalent. We prove that the simply connected Koszul algebras are derived equivalent to their Yoneda algebras. We consider derived discrete Koszul algebras, and we give necessary and sufficient conditions for these Koszul algebras to be derived equivalent to their Yoneda algebras. Finally, we look at the Koszul algebras such that they are derived equivalent to a hereditary algebra. In the case that the hereditary algebra is tame, we characterize when these algebras are derived equivalent to their Yoneda algebras.

Integral group ring of the Suzuki sporadic simple group

Using the Luthar--Passi method, we investigate the classical Zassenhaus conjecture for the normalized unit group of the integral group ring of the Suzuki sporadic simple group Suz. As a consequence, for this group we confirm the Kimmerle's conjecture on prime graphs.

Resolutions over Koszul algebras

In this paper we show that if $Λ=\amalg_{i\geq 0}Λ_i$ is a Koszul algebra with $Λ_0$ isomorphic to a product of copies of a field, then the minimal projective resolution of $Λ_0$ as a right $Λ$-module provides all the information necessary to construct both a minimal projective resolution of $Λ_0$ as a left $Λ$-module and a minimal projective resolution of $Λ$ as a right module over the enveloping algebra of $Λ$. The main tool for this is showing that there is a comultiplicative structure on a minimal projective resolution of $Λ_0$ as a right $Λ$-module.
