A Caputo based SIRS and SIS fractional order models with standard incidence rate and varying population

In the present work, we have introduced and studied two epidemic models that are constructed with Caputo fractional derivative. We considered standard incidence rate and varying population dynamics for SIS and SIRS mathematical models. Model equilibria, basic reproduction numbers are determined and local stability analysis are established for the two fractional dynamical models. Finally, the efficient fracPECE iterative scheme for fractional order deterministic dynamical models is applied to perform numerical simulations.

Deterministic Epidemic Models For Ebola Infection With Time-dependent Controls

In this paper, we have studied epidemiological models for Ebola infection using nonlinear ordinary differential equations and optimal control theory. We considered optimal control analysis of SIR and SEIR models for the deadly Ebola infection using vaccination, treatment and educational campaign as time-dependent controls functions. We have applied indirect methods to study existing deterministic optimal control epidemic models for Ebola virus disease. These methods in optimal control are based on Hamiltonian function and the Pontryagin's maximum principle to construct adjoint equations and optimality systems. The forward-backward sweep numerical scheme with fourth-order Runge-Kutta method is used to solve the optimality system for the various control strategies. From our numerical illustrations, we can conclude that, effective educational campaigns and vaccination of susceptible individuals as were as effective treatments of infected individuals can help reduce the disease transmission.

Fractional Order Malaria Model With Temporary Immunity

In this paper, we propose and analyze a new fractional order malaria model with temporary immunity. We extend the existing malaria model to include fractional derivatives. Basic reproduction number is computed using the next generation matrix method. Model equilibria are determined and their local asymptotic stability analysis are considered. An efficient Adams-type predictor-corrector method is used to solve the initial value problem. Finally, phase plane portraits are generated to describe the dynamics between susceptible fractions of human hosts and infected fractions of mosquito vectors.

Fractional Order Optimal Control Model For Malaria Infection

We propose and study an optimal control model for malaria infection described by system of fractional differential equations. The model is formulated in terms of the left and right Caputo fractional derivatives. We determine the necessary conditions for the optimality of the controlled dynamical system. The forward-backward sweep method with generalized euler scheme is applied to numerically compute the solutions of the optimality system.
