Controllable diatomic molecular quantum thermodynamic machines

We present quantum heat machines using a diatomic molecule modelled by a $q$-deformed potential as a working medium. We analyze the effect of the deformation parameter and other potential parameters on the work output and efficiency of the quantum Otto and quantum Carnot heat cycles. Furthermore, we derive the analytical expressions of work and efficiency as a function of these parameters. Interestingly, our system operates as a quantum heat engine across the range of parameters considered. In addition, the efficiency of the quantum Otto heat engine is seen to be tunable by the deformation parameter. Our findings provide useful insight for understanding the impact of anharmonicity on the design of quantum thermal machines.

Solutions of the Schrödinger equation with Quarkonium potential to predict the mass-spectra of the heavy mesons via series expansion method

In this study, a quarkonium potential is adopted as the quark-antiquark interaction potential for predicting the mass spectra of heavy mesons. We solved the radial Schrödinger equation analytically using the series expansion method and obtained the energy eigenvalues. The present results are applied for predicting the mass spectra of heavy mesons such as charmonium and bottomonium. The present potential provides satisfying results in comparison with experimental data and the work of other researchers with a maximum error of 0.058 GeV

Approximate Bound State Solutions of the Fractional Schrödinger Equation under the Spin-Spin-Dependent Cornell Potential

In this work, the approximate bound state solutions of the fractional Schrödinger equation under a spin-spin-dependent Cornell potential are obtained via the convectional Nikiforov-Uvarov approach. The energy spectra are applied to obtain the mass spectra of the heavy mesons such as bottomonium, charmonium and bottom-charm. The masses for the singlet and triplet spin numbers increase as the quantum numbers increase. The fractional Schrödinger equation improves the mass spectra compared to the masses obtained in the existing literature. The bottomonium masses agree with the experimental data of the Particle Data Group where percentage errors for fractional parameters of \b{eta}=1,α=0.97 and \b{eta}=1,α=0.50 were found to be 0.67% and 0.49% respectively. The respective percentage errors of 1.97% and 1.62% for fractional parameters of \b{eta}=1,α=0.97 and \b{eta}=1,α=0.50 were obtained for charmonium meson. The results indicate that the potential curves coupled with the fractional parameters account for the short-range gluon exchange between the quark-antiquark interactions and the linear confinement phenomena which is associated with the quantum chromo-dynamic and phenomenological potential models in particle and high-energy physics

Applicability of Hulthen-Hellmann potential to predict the mass-spectra of heavy mesons via series expansion method

We adopt Hulthén plus Hellmann potential as the quark-antiquark interaction potential for predicting the mass spectra of heavy mesons. The adopted potential was made to be temperature-dependent by replacing the screening parameter with Debye mass. The radial Schrödinger equation was analytically solved using the series expansion method and energy eigenvalues were obtained. The energy eigenvalues is used to predict the mass spectra of heavy mesons such as charmonium and bottomonium. Four special cases were considered when some of the potential parameters were set to zero, resulting in Hellmann potential, Yukawa potential, Coulomb potential, and Hulthén potential, respectively. The present potential provides satisfying results in comparison with experimental data and the work of other researchers with a maximum error of 0.034 GeV.

Application of Eckart-Hellmann potential to study selected diatomic molecules using Nikiforov-Uvarov-Functional Analysis (NUFA) method

The energy levels of the Schrödinger equation under the Eckart-Hellmann potential (EHP) energy function are studied by the Nikiforov-Uvarov-Functional Analysis (NUFA) method. We obtained the analytic solution of the energy spectra and the wave function in closed form with the help of Greene-Aldrich approximation. The numerical bound states energy for various screening parameters at different quantum states and vibrational energies of EHP for CuLi, TiH, VH, and TiC diatomic molecules were computed. Four particular cases of this potential were achieved. To test the accuracy of our results, we computed the bound states energy eigenvalues of Hellmann potential which are in excellent agreement with the report of other researchers.

We solved the Klein-Gordon equation analytically using the Nikiforov-Uvarov method to obtain the energy eigenvalues and corresponding wavefunction in terms of Laguerre polynomials with the ultra generalized exponential hyperbolic potential. The present results are applied for calculating the mass spectra of heavy mesons such as charmonium (cc) and bottomonium (cc) for different quantum states. The present potential provides excellent results in comparison with experimental data with a maximum error of and work of other researchers.

Eigensolutions of the N-dimensional Schrödinger equation interacting with Varshni-Hulthén potential model

Analytical solutions of the N-dimensional Schrödinger equation for the newly proposed Varshni-Hulthén potential are obtained within the framework of Nikiforov-Uvarov method by using Greene-Aldrich approximation scheme to the centrifugal barrier. The numerical energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions are obtained in terms of Jacobi polynomials. Special cases of the potential are equally studied and their numerical energy eigenvalues are in agreement with those obtained previously with other methods. However, the behavior of the energy for the ground state and several excited states is illustrated graphically.
