Power Spectrum with Auxiliary Fields in de Sitter Space

We use the auxiliary fields and (excited-) de Sitter solutions to study the standard power spectrum of primordial fluctuations of a scalar field in the early universe. The auxiliary fields are the negative norm solutions of the field equation and as it is shown, with a fixed boundary condition, utilizing these states results in a finite power spectrum without any infinity. The power spectrum is determined by the de Sitter solutions up to some corrections and the space-time symmetry is not broken in this point of view. The modulation to the power spectrum is of order $ (\frac{H}Λ)^{2} $, where $ H $ is the Hubble parameter and $ Λ$ is the energy scale, e.g., Planck scale.

Evolution of Bulk Scale Factor in Warped Space-time

In this work the role of extra dimensions in the accelerated universe through the scenario of higher-dimensional Friedmann-Robertson-Walker (FRW) cosmology has been studied. For this purpose, we first consider warped space-time in the standard flat brane scenario as the modified form of Robertson-Walker (RW) metric in five-dimension (5D) space-time and then the variation of the bulk scale factor (warp factor), with respect to both space-like and time-like extra dimensions is obtained. Finally, it is shown that both of two types of extra dimensions are important in this scenario and also the bulk scale factor plays two different roles.

Friedmann-like equations for High Energy Area of Universe

In this paper, evolution of the high energy area of universe, through the scenario of 5 dimensional (5D) universe, has been studied. For this purpose, we solve Einstein equations for 5D metric and 5D perfect fuid to derive Friedmann-like equations. Then we obtain the evolution of scale factor and energy density with respect to both space-like and time-like extra dimensions. We obtain the novel equations for the space-like extra dimension and show that the matter with zero pressure cannot exist in the bulk. Also, for dark energy fuid and vacuum fluid, we have both accelerated expansion and contraction in the bulk.

Spectrum of Gravitational Waves in Krein Space Quantization

The main goal of this paper is to derive the primordial power spectrum for the scalar perturbations generated as a result of quantum fluctuations during an inflationary pe- riod by an alternative approach of field quantization[1-3]. Formulas are derived for the gravitational waves, special cases of which include power law inflation and inflation in the slow roll approximation, in Krein space quantization.

Bulk Scale Factor at Very Early Universe

In this paper we propose a higher dimensional Cosmology based on FRW model and brane-world scenario. We consider the warp factor in the brane-world scenario as a scale factor in 5-dimensional generalized FRW metric, which is called as bulk scale factor, and obtain the evolution of it with space-like and time-like extra dimensions. It is then showed that, additional space-like dimensions can produce exponentially bulk scale factor under repulsive strong gravitational force in the empty universe at a very early stage.

Visualizing Cosmological Concepts Using the Analog of a Hot Liquid

We have used the expansion process of hot milk, which has similarities with the cosmic expansion, to facilitate easier and better visualization and teaching of cosmological concepts. Observations of the milk are used to illustrate phenomena related to the Planck era, the standard hot big bang model, cosmic inflation, problems with the formation of structure, and other subjects. This innovative and easily implemented demonstration can enhance the learning of cosmological concepts.

Alternative inflationary scenario due to compact extra dimensions

The main goal of this paper is to give an alternative interpretation of space-like and time-like extra dimensions as a primary factor for inflation in the early universe. We introduce the 5-dimensional perfect fluid and compare the energy-momentum tensor for the bulk scalar field with space-like and time-like extra dimensions. It is shown, that additional dimensions can imply to negative pressure in the slow roll regime in the early higher-dimensional world.
