Comment on Noise-Induced Subdiffusion in Strongly Localized Quantum Systems

Gopalakrishnan, Islam, and Knap adopted a perturbative approach employing a method to investigate the transport in localized systems coupled to non-Markovian dephasing noise in the deeply localized limit where the single-particle hopping is the smallest energy scale. All their subsequent analytical and numerical calculations are limited to the deeply localized systems. Nevertheless, in the majority of their results, they used this approximation outside this limit which makes their results wrong. We point at these wrong results and propose the changes in the parameter values which can give correct results.

PARSRec: Explainable Personalized Attention-fused Recurrent Sequential Recommendation Using Session Partial Actions

The emerging meta- and multi-verse landscape is yet another step towards the more prevalent use of already ubiquitous online markets. In such markets, recommender systems play critical roles by offering items of interest to the users, thereby narrowing down a vast search space that comprises hundreds of thousands of products. Recommender systems are usually designed to learn common user behaviors and rely on them for inference. This approach, while effective, is oblivious to subtle idiosyncrasies that differentiate humans from each other. Focusing on this observation, we propose an architecture that relies on common patterns as well as individual behaviors to tailor its recommendations for each person. Simulations under a controlled environment show that our proposed model learns interpretable personalized user behaviors. Our empirical results on Nielsen Consumer Panel dataset indicate that the proposed approach achieves up to 27.9% performance improvement compared to the state-of-the-art.

Grid-Connected Photovoltaic System for Active and Reactive Power Management

In this paper, the behavior of a photovoltaic (PV) system, with maximum power point tracking (MPPT) connected to three-phased grid has been investigated. A voltage source inverter (VSI) has been used to connect the photovoltaic system to the grid. The control strategy applied to control inverter switches is based on voltage mode method. Strategy of this project is that during sunlight the system sends active power to the grid and at the same time compensates the reactive power of the load. In case there is no sunlight, the inverter only compensates the reactive of the load. So the photovoltaic system is operated the whole day. In this paper the behavior of the photovoltaic system to provide active power and compensate reactive power of the load is investigated. The time domain simulation is performed using PSCAD/EMTDC software.

Quantum superballistic diffusion in presence of white noise

As an unusual type of anomalous diffusion behavior, (transient) superballistic transport is not well understood but it has been experimentally observed recently. We here calculate the white noise effect (in Markov approximation) on the quantum diffusion in 1D tight-binding model with disordered and quasi-periodic region of size L attached to perfect lattices at both ends. Here we show the effect of white noise on spreading of the wave packet initially located at the center of the sublattice. We find threshold values of the white noise strength, beyond which the quantum hyperdiffusion does not occur. We predict from our numerical studies that the quantum hyperdiffusion exponent can be tuned by the strength of applied white noise. Therefore we can manually apply noise to a system to drive it to desired diffusion rate.
