A multiparameter integral inequality for the dyadic maximal operator and applications

We prove a sharp multiparameter integral inequality for the dyadic maximal operator which refines the one-parameter inequality that is given by A.Melas in [4] which in turn is applied for the evaluation of the Bellman function of two integral variables for this maximal operator. Moreover we find the exact domain of definition of the related Bellman function of three integral variables and by using the results connected with the sharpness of this new multiparameter inequality we give lower bounds of this Bellman function.

A sharp integral inequality for the dyadic maximal operator and a related stability result

We prove a sharp integral inequality for the dyadic maximal operator due to which the evaluation of the Bellman function of this operator with respect to two variables is possible, as can be seen in [3]. Our inequality of interest is proved in this article by a simpler and more immediate way. We also study a stability result in connection with this inequality, that is we provide a necessary and sufficient condition, for a sequence of functions, under which we obtain equality in the limit. The proof of this result is based on the proof of the related inequality which we present in this article.

Estimates for Bellman functions related to dyadic-like maximal operators on weighted spaces

We provide some new estimates for Bellman type functions for the dyadic maximal opeator on $R^n$ and of maximal operators on martingales related to weighted spaces. Using a type of symmetrization principle, introduced for the dyadic maximal operator in earlier works of the authors we introduce certain conditions on the weight that imply estimate for the maximal operator on the corresponding weighted space. Also using a well known estimate for the maximal operator by a double maximal operators on different m easures related to the weight we give new estimates for the above Bellman type functions.

Sharp Lorentz estimates for dyadic-like maximal operators and related Bellman functions

We precisely evaluate Bellman type functions for the dyadic maximal opeator on $R^n$ and of maximal operators on martingales related to local Lorentz type estimates. Using a type of symmetrization principle, introduced for the dyadic maximal operator in earlier works of the authors we precisely evaluate the supremum of the Lorentz quasinorm of the maximal operator on a function $ϕ$ when the integral of $ϕ$ is fixed and also the same Lorentz quasinorm of $ϕ$ is fixed. Also we find the corresponding supremum when the integral of $ϕ$ is fixed and several weak type conditions are given.

A Hardy inequality and applications to reverse Holder inequalities for weights on $R$

We prove a sharp integral inequality valid for non-negative functions defined on $[0,1]$, with given $L^1$ norm. This is in fact a generalization of the well known integral Hardy inequality. We prove it as a consequence of the respective weighted discrete analogue inequality which proof is presented in this paper. As an application we find the exact best possible range of $p>q$ such that any non-increasing $f$ which satisfies a reverse Hölder inequality with exponent $q$ and constant $c$ upon the subintervals of $[0,1]$, should additionally satisfy a reverse Hölder inequality with exponent $p$ and a different in general constant $c'$. The result has been treated in \cite{1} but here we give an alternative proof based on the above mentioned inequality.
