The monoidal structure of the category of partial representations of finite groups

In this work, we analyze the structure of the category of partial representations of a finite group $G$ as a multifusion category, providing an alternative way to describe simple objects and their tensor products. We describe the interconnection between the category of partial representations of a finite group and the category of global representations of its subgroups (the Christmas Tree's Theorem). Also, for a finite abelian group $G$, we prove that the category of partial representations of any of its subgroups can be embedded into the category of partial representations of $G$ (the Matryoshka's Theorem).

Globalization and the biactegory of partial modules

We show that the category of partial modules over a Hopf algebra $H$ is a biactegory (a bimodule category) over the category of global $H$-modules. The corresponding enrichment of partial modules over global modules is described, and the close relation between the dilation of partial modules and Hom-objects arising from this enrichment is investigated. In particular, for finite-dimensional pointed Hopf algebras, the standard dilation of a partial module $M$ is isomorphic to the Hom-object from the monoidal unit to $M$.

Partial actions of groups on monoidal categories

In this work, we introduce the notion of a partial action of a group on a strict monoidal category. We propose, in the context of Monoidal categories, new constructions analogous to those existing for partial group actions over an algebra such as the globalization, the subalgebra of partial invariants, and the partial smash product.

Partial Hopf actions on generalized matrix algebras

Let $\Bbbk$ be a field, $H$ a Hopf algebra over $\Bbbk$, and $R = (_iM_j)_{1 \leq i,j \leq n}$ a generalized matrix algebra. In this work, we establish necessary and sufficient conditions for $H$ to act partially on $R$. To achieve this, we introduce the concept of an opposite covariant pair and demonstrate that it satisfies a universal property. In the special case where $H = \Bbbk G$ is the group algebra of a group $G$, we recover the conditions given in \cite{BP} for the existence of a unital partial action of $G$ on $R$.

Towards a classification of simple partial comodules of Hopf algebras

Making the first steps towards a classification of simple partial comodules, we give a general construction for partial comodules of a Hopf algebra \(H\) using central idempotents in right coideal subalgebras and show that any \(1\)-dimensional partial comodule is of that form. We conjecture that in fact all finite-dimensional simple partial \(H\)-comodules arise this way. For \(H = kG\) for some finite group \(G\), we give conditions for the constructed partial comodule to be simple, and we determine when two of them are isomorphic. If \(H = kG^*,\) then our construction recovers the work of M. Dokuchaev and N. Zhukavets. We also study the partial modules and comodules of the non-commutative non-cocommutative Kac-Paljutkin algebra \(\mathcal{A}\).

Quantum Inverse Semigroups

In this work, the notion of a quantum inverse semigroup is introduced as a linearized generalization of inverse semigroups. Beyond the algebra of an inverse semigroup, which is the natural example of a quantum inverse semigroup, several other examples of this new structure are presented in different contexts, those are related to Hopf algebras, weak Hopf algebras, partial actions and Hopf categories. Finally, a generalized notion of local bisections are defined for commutative Hopf algebroids over a commutative base algebra giving rise to new examples of quantum inverse semigroups associated to Hopf algebroids in the same sense that inverse semigroups are related to groupoids.

A comonadicity theorem for partial comodules

We show that the category of partial comodules over a Hopf algebra $H$ is comonadic over ${\sf Vect}_k$ and provide an explicit construction of this comonad using topological vector spaces. The case when $H$ is finite dimensional is treated in detail. A study of partial representations of linear algebraic groups is initiated; we show that a connected linear algebraic group does not admit partiality.

Partial corepresentations of Hopf Algebras

We introduce the notion of a partial corepresentation of a given Hopf algebra $H$ over a coalgebra $C$ and the closely related concept of a partial $H$-comodule. We prove that there exists a universal coalgebra $H^{par}$, associated to the original Hopf algebra $H$, such that the category of regular partial $H$-comodules is isomorphic to the category of $H^{par}$-comodules. We introduce the notion of a Hopf coalgebroid and show that the universal coalgebra $H^{par}$ has the structure of a Hopf coalgebroid over a suitable coalgebra.

Dilations of partial representations of Hopf algebras

We introduce the notion of a dilation for a partial representation (i.e. a partial module) of a Hopf algebra, which in case the partial representation origins from a partial action (i.e.a partial module algebra) coincides with the enveloping action (or globalization). This construction leads to categorical equivalences between the category of partial $H$-modules, a category of (global) $H$-modules endowed with a projection satisfying a suitable commutation relation and the category of modules over a (global) smash product constructed upon $H$, from which we deduce the structure of a Hopfish algebra on this smash product. These equivalences are used to study the interactions between partial and global representation theory.

Cohomology for partial actions of Hopf algebras

In this work, the cohomology theory for partial actions of co-commutative Hopf algebras over commutative algebras is formulated. This theory generalizes the cohomology theory for Hopf algebras introduced by Sweedler and the cohomology theory for partial group actions, introduced by Dokuchaev and Khrypchenko. Some nontrivial examples, not coming from groups are constructed. Given a partial action of a co-commutative Hopf algebra $H$ over a commutative algebra $A$, we prove that there exists a new Hopf algebra $\widetilde{A}$, over a commutative ring $E(A)$, upon which $H$ still acts partially and which gives rise to the same cochain complex as the original algebra $A$. We also study the partially cleft extensions of commutative algebras by partial actions of cocommutative Hopf algebras and prove that these partially cleft extensions can be viewed as a cleft extensions by Hopf algebroids.

Dual Constructions for Partial Actions of Hopf Algebras

The duality between partial actions (partial $H$-module algebras) and co-actions (partial $H$-comodule algebras) of a Hopf algebra $H$ is fully explored in this work. A connection between partial (co)actions and Hopf algebroids is established under certain commutativity conditions. Moreover, we continue this duality study, introducing also partial $H$-module coalgebras and their associated $C$-rings, partial $H$-comodule coalgebras and their associated cosmash coproducts, as well as the mutual interrelations between these structures.

Globalization of Twisted partial Hopf actions

In this work, we review some properties of twisted partial actions of Hopf algebras on unital algebras and give necessary and sufficient conditions for a twisted partial action to have a globalization. We also elaborate a series of examples.

Partial Representations of Hopf Algebras

In this work, the notion of partial representation of a Hopf algebra is introduced and its relationship with partial actions of Hopf algebras is explored. Given a Hopf algebra $H$, one can associate it to a Hopf algebroid $H_{par}$ which has the universal property that each partial representation of $H$ can be factorized by an algebra morphism from $H_{par}$. We define also the category of partial modules over a Hopf algebra $H$, which is the category of modules over its associated Hopf algebroid $H_{par}$. The Hopf algebroid structure of $H_{par}$ enables us to enhance the category of partial $H$ modules with a monoidal structure and such that the algebra objects in this category are the usual partial actions. Some examples of categories of partial $H$ modules are explored. In particular we can describe fully the category of partially $\mathbb{Z}_2$-graded modules.

Partial Hopf module categories

The effectiveness of the aplication of constructions in $G$-graded $k$-categories to the computation of the fundamental group of a finite dimensional $k$-algebra, alongside with open problems still left untouched by those methods and new problems arisen from the introduction of the concept of fundamental group of a $k$-linear category, motivated the investigation of $H$-module categories, i.e., actions of a Hopf algebra $H$ on a $k$-linear category. The $G$-graded case corresponds then to actions of the Hopf algebra $k^G$ on a $k$-linear category. In this work we take a step further and introduce partial $H$-module categories. We extend several results of partial $H$-module algebras to this context, such as the globalization theorem, the construction of the partial smash product and the Morita equivalence of this category with the smash product over a globalization. We also present a detailed description of partial actions of $k^G$.

Twisted partial actions of Hopf algebras

In this work, the notion of a twisted partial Hopf action is introduced as a unified approach for twisted partial group actions, partial Hopf actions and twisted actions of Hopf algebras. The conditions on partial cocycles are established in order to construct partial crossed products, which are also related to partially cleft extensions of algebras. Examples are elaborated using algebraic groups.

Globalization theorems for partial Hopf (co)actions, and some of their applications

Partial actions of Hopf algebras can be considered as a generalization of partial actions of groups on algebras. Among important properties of partial Hopf actions, it is possible to prove the existence of enveloping actions, i.e., every partial Hopf action on a algebra A is induced by a Hopf action on a algebra B that contains A as a right ideal. This globalization theorem allows to extend several results from the theory of partial group actions to the Hopf algebraic setting. In this article, we prove a dual version of the globalization theorem: that every partial coaction of a Hopf algebra admits an enveloping coaction. We also show how this works on a series of examples which go beyond partial group actions. Finally, we explore some consequences of globalization theorems in order to present versions of the duality theorems of Cohen-Montgomery and Blattner-Montgomery for partial Hopf actions.

Partial Hopf actions, partial invariants and a Morita context

Partial actions of Hopf algebras can be considered as a generalization of partial actions of groups on algebras. Among important properties of partial Hopf actions, it is possible to assure the existence of enveloping actions. This allows to extend several results from the theory of partial group actions to the Hopf algebraic setting. In this article, we explore some properties of the fixed point subalgebra with relations to a partial action of a Hopf algebra. We also construct, for partial actions of finite dimensional Hopf algebras a Morita context relating the fixed point subalgebra and the partial smash product. This is a generalization of a well known result in the theory of Hopf algebras for the case of partial actions. Finally, we study Hopf-Galois extensions and reobtain some classical results in the partial case.
