Early Prediction of Satellite Collision Probability Using a Hybrid TCN-Transformer Model for a CDM-Based Conjunction Analysis Framework

The rapid expansion of operational satellites and orbital debris has increased the frequency of close approach events in low Earth orbit (LEO), creating a higher operational burden for satellite operators. This problem is especially critical for satellites using electric propulsion, where low-thrust maneuver capability imposes additional time constraints on collision avoidance planning. In current practice, Conjunction Data Messages (CDMs) provide relative state, covariance, miss distance, time of closest approach, and probability of collision (PoC) information for conjunction assessment. However, the nonlinear propagation of orbital uncertainties and the sensitivity of PoC to covariance evolution make the interpretation of sequential CDMs challenging. This study proposes a learning-based framework for early prediction of satellite conjunction risk by estimating the PoC expected in the subsequent CDM update of the same close approach event. In the proposed methodology, an Unscented Transform-based propagation and backpropagation framework is first used to evaluate the sensitivity of the collision risk metric to CDM parameters. In addition, Principal Component Analysis is applied to the numerical CDM parameters to identify the features most relevant to PoC variation. The results obtained from the sensitivity analysis and PCA are then used to justify the selected raw CDM parameters and to construct derived metrics representing relative motion, encounter geometry, and covariance-related uncertainty. Using the resulting sequential enriched conjunction dataset, a hybrid Temporal Convolutional Network (TCN)-Transformer model is trained to learn the temporal evolution of conjunction risk. The framework is applied to CDMs received and analyzed within TÜBİTAK UZAY, demonstrating its potential for earlier and more consistent operational risk evaluation for LEO satellite conjunctions.

Stationary solutions in the small-$c$ expansion of GR

We study the small-$c$ expansion of general relativity in ADM variables up to next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO). We show that, in the stationary sector, this formulation renders the field equations more tractable for explicit solution building. The stationary sector exhibits both strong-gravity and weak-field branches, whose structure becomes richer at NNLO. In the strong-gravity branch, we first obtain exact vacuum solutions of NLO Carroll gravity, including the Lense--Thirring and rotating C-metric backgrounds. At NNLO, we then construct the corresponding Lense--Thirring-type and C-metric-type exact vacuum geometries. These solutions also arise from the small-$c$ expansion of the Kerr and rotating C-metric geometries around the strong-gravity background, up to $\mathcal{O}(J)$ at NLO and up to $\mathcal{O}(J^3)$ at NNLO. In the weak-field branch, we find exact Hartle--Thorne-type solutions with an independent quadrupole moment, together with exact spin-squared corrections and a mixed quadrupolar-rotating solution. We further extend the $\ell=0,2$ sector by including higher multipoles up to $\ell=4$, where $\ell$ denotes the multipole index. These results show that the full NLO/NNLO theory admits a richer stationary vacuum sector than the magnetic Carroll truncation. More broadly, the ADM formulation provides a practical framework for constructing and analyzing stationary backgrounds in the small-$c$ expansion of general relativity, and may also offer a useful framework for organizing rotational and higher-multipole deformations motivated by relativistic compact-object geometries.

Quantization of Carrollian fermions

We provide the first example of interacting quantized Carrollian Dirac fermions and investigate their discrete symmetries, including charge conjugation (C), parity (P), and time reversal (T) transformations. As a toy model, we couple these fermions to a Carrollian scalar field using Carrollian Yukawa theory and compute the tree-level diagram, revealing an ultralocal interaction between the Carrollian fermions and the scalar field. This interaction, widely known as a Dirac delta interaction with time-dependent factor, frequently appears in quantum physics. We then address the renormalization of the theory by employing the Wilsonian procedure at one-loop order. Furthermore, we analyze the fixed points and stability properties of Carrollian Yukawa theory, comparing them with their relativistic counterparts. Beyond the specific Yukawa model studied here, we expect that our framework will have broader applications in Carrollian physics, particularly in understanding ultralocal interactions and their role in condensed matter systems, where similar phenomena arise in strongly correlated and non-relativistic regimes.

Holographic Boundary Conformal Field Theory within Horndeski Gravity

We investigate entanglement islands and the Page curve in the framework of Horndeski gravity on a Karch-Randall braneworld background. In particular, treating the holographic boundary conformal field theory analytically we find that the Horndeski parameters significantly alter the behavior of the Page curve compared to standard general relativity, a feature caused by the nontrivial geometry induced by the Horndeski scalar field. Interestingly enough, the geometry far from the AdS limit plays a more significant role compared to previous studies. This suggests that Horndeski gravity introduces important modifications to the distribution of quantum information in the holographic model. Finally, we claim that holographic consistency can be used reversely to impose constraints on Horndeski gravity itself, providing a new tool for probing the validity of modified gravity theories.

Superconformal generalizations of auxiliary vector modified polynomial f(R) theories

We present the supersymmetric completion of the auxiliary vector modified polynomial $f(R)$ theories in their dual scalar-tensor theory formulation that interpolate between the auxiliary vector modified polynomial $f(R)$ theories and chaotic inflation with the power-law potential $V(ϕ) \propto ϕ^p$. The supersymmetrization is achieved in two steps: First, we introduce a superconformal theory for three chiral multiplets by choosing a conformal Kähler potential and a conformal superpotential. In the second step, we use one of the chiral multiplets to compensate for the superconformal symmetries and achieve the Kähler potential and the superpotential while the other two are used to realize inflation with a stable inflationary trajectory. The stability of the inflationary trajectory requires certain deformations to the Kähler potential which we discuss their compatibility against the inflationary observables from the latest Planck data.

One loop corrected conformally coupled scalar mode equations during inflation

We employ a fully renormalized computation of the one loop contribution to the self-mass-squared of the conformally coupled (CC) scalar interacting with gravitons during inflation to study how inflationary produced gravitons affect the CC scalar evolution equation. The quantum corrected scalar mode functions turn out to get a secular growth effect, proportional to a logarithm of the scale factor at late times.

Quantum gravity corrections to the conformally coupled scalar self-mass-squared on de Sitter II: kinetic-conformal cross terms

The present work is the second part of a series of computations for the self-mass-squared of the conformally coupled (CC) scalar interacting with gravitons. This work includes the kinetic-kinetic and kinetic-conformal parts, and thus completes the full scalar self-mass squared at one loop order in de Sitter background when combined with the conformal-conformal part previously evaluated. We use dimensional regularization and renormalize the results by subtracting appropriate counterterms. The self-mass squared is finally ready to quantum-correct the CC scalar field equation so that one can study the effect of inflationary produced gravitons on the CC scalar and its observational consequences.

Testing a Dilaton Gravity Model using Nucleosynthesis

Big Bang Nucleosynthesis (BBN) offers one of the most strict evidences for the Lambda-CDM cosmology at present, as well as the Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation. In this work, our main aim is to present the outcomes of our calculations related to primordial abundances of light elements, in the context of higher dimensional steady-state universe model in the dilaton gravity. Our results show that abundances of light elements (primordial D, 3He, 4He, T, 7Li) are significantly different for some cases, and a comparison is given between a particular dilaton gravity model and Lambda-CDM in the light of the astrophysical observations.
