Integrable multi-species SSEP with reactive particle species

We investigate integrable exclusion Markov processes constructed from set-theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter Equation (YBE) that generalise the multi-species Symmetric Simple Exclusion Process (SSEP). We first introduce the process called the $ (p,1) $-SSEP that is analogous to the multi-species SSEP but with an extra particle species qualified as reactive. Reactive species are able to evaporate and condensate by pairs or to transform by pairs depending on the interpretation. We provide a full combinatorial study of the sectors in the periodic case. We prove the integrability of the process in the periodic case and in the open case for two types of boundaries that we introduce using Baxterisations of solutions of the reflection equation. Next we move on to the process called $ (p,q) $-SSEP, i.e. the multi-species SSEP with an arbitrary number of reactive particle species. We prove its integrability in the periodic case and, for the open case, we introduce integrable boundaries generalising the ones considered for the $ (p,1) $-SSEP. Finally, we define physical quantities relevant to the models and we compute them in the non-equilibrium stationary state of the open $ (p,q) $-SSEP for one type of integrable boundaries.

Harish-Chandra images of orthosymplectic Sugawara operators and Casimir elements

We consider the recently constructed Segal--Sugawara vectors for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras. We calculate their images with respect to the Harish-Chandra homomorphism and extend this calculation to the associated Sugawara operators and Casimir elements. We also produce higher Gaudin Hamiltonians and elements of the quantum shift-of-argument subalgebras in the orthosymplectic enveloping algebra. In the Appendix, we review analogous results for the general linear Lie superalgebras.

Twisted symmetric exclusion processes and set-theoretical $R$-matrices

We investigate periodic integrable Markov models, constructed from set-theoretical solutions of the Yang-Baxter equation. We first focus on the simplest class of solutions, called Lyubashenko solutions. We show that the resulting models are equivalent to some twisted Symmetric Simple Exclusion Process (SSEP), which are usual periodic SSEP models where a twist is added on a bond of the ring. We also provide various possible interpretations for these Markov models. Then, we study the long time dynamics of the twisted SSEP, characterising its different stationary states and counting them. Allowing the twist to vary, we examine the possible transitions between the different stationary states. Finally, we extend our construction of Markov models to set-theoretical solutions that are more general than Lyubashenko solutions and show that such models are not equivalent to a twisted SSEP in general.

Rectangular Recurrence Relations in $\mathfrak{gl}_{n}$ and $\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$ Invariant Integrable Models

A new method is introduced to derive general recurrence relations for off-shell Bethe vectors in quantum integrable models with either type $\mathfrak{gl}_n$ or type $\mathfrak{o}_{2n+1}$ symmetries. These recurrence relations describe how to add a single parameter $z$ to specific subsets of Bethe parameters, expressing the resulting Bethe vector as a linear combination of monodromy matrix entries that act on Bethe vectors which do not depend on $z$. We refer to these recurrence relations as rectangular because the monodromy matrix entries involved are drawn from the upper-right rectangular part of the matrix. This construction is achieved within the framework of the zero mode method.

Entanglement of Inhomogeneous Free Bosons and Orthogonal Polynomials

In this paper, we investigate the ground-state entanglement entropy in inhomogeneous free-boson models in one spatial dimension. We develop a powerful method to extract the leading term in the entanglement scaling, based on the analytic properties of the inhomogeneous potential. This method is applicable to a broad class of models with smooth spatial inhomogeneities. As a case study, we apply this approach for a family of exactly-solvable models characterized by orthogonal polynomials of the Askey scheme, finding a perfect match between the numerical and analytical results.

$q$-deformed Griffiths polynomials of Racah type

New bivariate Griffiths polynomials of $q$-Racah type are introduced and characterized. They generalize the polynomials orthogonal on the multinomial distribution introduced by R. Griffiths fifty years ago. They also correspond to a $q$-deformation of the Griffiths polynomials of Racah type introduced previously by the authors and collaborators. The latter are recovered from the former by a $q\to1$ limit. We show that these new polynomials are bispectral and biorthogonal. We also exhibit some symmetry relations that are essential in the proof of the bispectrality property.

Griffiths polynomials of Racah type

Bivariate Griffiths polynomials of Racah type are constructed from univariate Racah polynomials. The bispectral properties of the former are deduced from simple properties of the latter. A duality relation and the orthogonality of these polynomials are provided. The domain of validity for the indices and variables of these polynomials is also determined. Particular limits on the parameters entering the polynomials allow to define several Griffiths polynomials of other types. One special limit connects them to the original Griffiths polynomials (of Krawtchouk type). Finally, a connection with the $9j$ symbols is made.

Representations of the super-Yangian of type $B(n,m)$

We are concerned with finite-dimensional irreducible representations of the Yangians associated with the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras ${\frak osp}_{2n+1|2m}$. Every such representation is highest weight and we use embedding theorems and odd reflections of Yangian type to derive necessary conditions for an irreducible highest weight representation to be finite-dimensional. We conjecture that these conditions are also sufficient. We prove the conjecture in the case $n=1$ and arbitrary $m\geqslant 1$.

$N=2$ supersymmetric structures on classical $W$-algebras

We describe an $N=2$ supersymmetric Poisson vertex algebra structure of $N=1$ (resp. $N=0$) classical $W$-algebra associated with $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1|n)$ and the odd (resp. even) principal nilpotent element. This $N=2$ supersymmetric structure is connected to the principal $\mathfrak{sl}(2|1)$-embedding in $\mathfrak{sl}(n+1|n)$ superalgebras, which are the only basic Lie superalgebras that admit such a principal embedding.

The Higher-Rank Askey-Wilson Algebra and Its Braid Group Automorphisms

We propose a definition by generators and relations of the rank $n-2$ Askey-Wilson algebra $\mathfrak{aw}(n)$ for any integer $n$, generalising the known presentation for the usual case $n=3$. The generators are indexed by connected subsets of $\{1,\dots,n\}$ and the simple and rather small set of defining relations is directly inspired from the known case of $n=3$. Our first main result is to prove the existence of automorphisms of $\mathfrak{aw}(n)$ satisfying the relations of the braid group on $n+1$ strands. We also show the existence of coproduct maps relating the algebras for different values of $n$. An immediate consequence of our approach is that the Askey-Wilson algebra defined here surjects onto the algebra generated by the intermediate Casimir elements in the $n$-fold tensor product of the quantum group ${\rm U}_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ or, equivalently, onto the Kauffman bracket skein algebra of the $(n+1)$-punctured sphere. We also obtain a family of central elements of the Askey-Wilson algebras which are shown, as a direct by-product of our construction, to be sent to $0$ in the realisation in the $n$-fold tensor product of ${\rm U}_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$, thereby producing a large number of relations for the algebra generated by the intermediate Casimir elements.

Gaussian generators for the Yangian associated with the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2m)$

We give a new presentation of the Yangian for the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|2m}$. It relies on the Gauss decomposition of the generator matrix in the $R$-matrix presentation. The defining relations between the Gaussian generators are derived from a new version of the Drinfeld-type presentation of the Yangian for $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|2}$ and some additional relations in the Yangian for $\mathfrak{osp}_{1|4}$ by an application of the embedding theorem for the super-Yangians.

Representations of the rank two Racah algebra and orthogonal multivariate polynomials

The algebraic structure of the rank two Racah algebra is studied in detail. We provide an automorphism group of this algebra, which is isomorphic to the permutation group of five elements. This group can be geometrically interpreted as the symmetry of a folded icosidodecahedron. It allows us to study a class of equivalent irreducible representations of this Racah algebra. They can be chosen symmetric so that their transition matrices are orthogonal. We show that their entries can be expressed in terms of Racah polynomials. This construction gives an alternative proof of the recurrence, difference and orthogonal relations satisfied by the Tratnik polynomials, as well as their expressions as a product of two monovariate Racah polynomials. Our construction provides a generalization of these bivariate polynomials together with their properties.

Nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the half-line without a conserved number of solitons

We explore the phenomena of absorption/emission of solitons by an integrable boundary for the nonlinear Schrödinger equation on the half-line. This is based on the investigation of time-dependent reflection matrices which satisfy the boundary zero curvature equation. In particular, this leads to absorption/emission processes at the boundary that can take place for solitons and higher-order solitons. As a consequence, the usual charges on the half-line are no longer conserved but we show explicitly how to restore an infinite set of conserved quantities by taking the boundary into account. The Hamiltonian description and Poisson structure of the model are presented, which allows us to derive for the first time a classical version of the boundary algebra used originally in the context of the quantum nonlinear Schrödinger equation.

Asymmetric Galilean conformal algebras

The usual Galilean contraction procedure for generating new conformal symmetry algebras takes as input a number of symmetry algebras which are equivalent up to central charge. We demonstrate that the equivalence condition can be relaxed by inhomogeneously contracting the chiral algebras and present general results for the ensuing asymmetric Galilean algebras. Several examples relevant to conformal field theory are discussed in detail, including superconformal algebras and W-algebras. We also discuss how the Sugawara construction is modified in the asymmetric setting.

The Askey-Wilson algebra and its avatars

The original Askey-Wilson algebra introduced by Zhedanov encodes the bispectrality properties of the eponym polynomials. The name 'Askey-Wilson algebra' is currently used to refer to a variety of related structures that appear in a large number of contexts. We review these versions, sort them out and establish the relations between them. We focus on two specific avatars. The first is a quotient of the original Zhedanov algebra; it is shown to be invariant under the Weyl group of type $D_4$ and to have a reflection algebra presentation. The second is a universal analogue of the first one; it is isomorphic to the Kauffman bracket skein algebra (KBSA) of the four-punctured sphere and to a subalgebra of the universal double affine Hecke algebra $(C_1^{\vee},C_1)$. This second algebra emerges from the Racah problem of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ and is related via an injective homomorphism to the centralizer of $U_q(\mathfrak{sl}_2)$ in its threefold tensor product. How the Artin braid group acts on the incarnations of this second avatar through conjugation by $R$-matrices (in the Racah problem) or half Dehn twists (in the diagrammatic KBSA picture) is also highlighted. Attempts at defining higher rank Askey-Wilson algebras are briefly discussed and summarized in a diagrammatic fashion.

Mapping current and activity fluctuations in exclusion processes: consequences and open questions

Considering the large deviations of activity and current in the Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Process (ASEP), we show that there exists a non-trivial correspondence between the joint scaled cumulant generating functions of activity and current of two ASEPs with different parameters. This mapping is obtained by applying a similarity transform on the deformed Markov matrix of the source model in order to obtain the deformed Markov matrix of the target model. We first derive this correspondence for periodic boundary conditions, and show in the diffusive scaling limit (corresponding to the Weakly Asymmetric Simple Exclusion Processes, or WASEP) how the mapping is expressed in the language of Macroscopic Fluctuation Theory (MFT). As an interesting specific case, we map the large deviations of current in the ASEP to the large deviations of activity in the SSEP, thereby uncovering a regime of Kardar-Parisi-Zhang in the distribution of activity in the SSEP. At large activity, particle configurations exhibit hyperuniformity [Jack et al., PRL 114 060601 (2015)]. Using results from quantum spin chain theory, we characterize the hyperuniform regime by evaluating the small wavenumber asymptotic behavior of the structure factor at half-filling. Conversely, we formulate from the MFT results a conjecture for a correlation function in spin chains at any fixed total magnetization (in the thermodynamic limit). In addition, we generalize the mapping to the case of two open ASEPs with boundary reservoirs, and we apply it in the WASEP limit in the MFT formalism. This mapping also allows us to find a symmetry-breaking dynamical phase transition (DPT) in the WASEP conditioned by activity, from the prior knowledge of a DPT in the WASEP conditioned by the current.

On Abelianity Lines in Elliptic $W$-Algebras

We present a systematic derivation of the abelianity conditions for the $q$-deformed $W$-algebras constructed from the elliptic quantum algebra $\mathcal{A}_{q,p}\big(\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}(N)_{c}\big)$. We identify two sets of conditions on a given critical surface yielding abelianity lines in the moduli space ($p, q, c$). Each line is identified as an intersection of a countable number of critical surfaces obeying diophantine consistency conditions. The corresponding Poisson brackets structures are then computed for which some universal features are described.

Multi-graded Galilean conformal algebras

Galilean conformal algebras can be constructed by contracting a finite number of conformal algebras, and enjoy truncated $\mathbb{Z}$-graded structures. Here, we present a generalisation of the Galilean contraction procedure, giving rise to Galilean conformal algebras with truncated $\mathbb{Z}^{\otimesσ}$-gradings, $σ\in\mathbb{N}$. Detailed examples of these multi-graded Galilean algebras are provided, including extensions of the Galilean Virasoro and affine Kac-Moody algebras. We also derive the associated Sugawara constructions and discuss how these examples relate to multivariable extensions of Takiff algebras. We likewise apply our generalised contraction prescription to tensor products of $W_3$ algebras and obtain new families of higher-order Galilean $W_3$ algebras.
