Couplings of ${\cal N}=4$, $d=1$ mirror supermultiplets

We construct models of coupled semi-dynamical (spin) and dynamical mirror multiplets of ${\cal N}=4$ supersymmetric mechanics in $d=1$ harmonic superspace. Specifically, we consider a semi-dynamical mirror multiplet ${\bf (3,4,1)}$ coupled to dynamical mirror multiplets ${\bf (1, 4, 3)}$ and ${\bf (2, 4, 2)}$. Coupling of the multiplets ${\bf (3, 4, 1)}$ and ${\bf (1, 4, 3)}$ yields a mirror counterpart of the earlier constructed model implying the Nahm equations for the spin variables with the bosonic component of the multiplet ${\bf (1, 4, 3)}$ as an evolution parameter. We also couple the mirror multiplet ${\bf (2,4,2)}$ to the mirror semi-dynamical multiplet ${\bf (3, 4, 1)}$ using chiral ${\cal N}=4$ superspace. The models constructed admit a generalization to the SU$(2|1)$ deformation of ${\cal N}=4$, $d=1$ Poincaré supersymmetry.

Unconstrained off-shell superfield formulation of $4D, \mathcal{N}=2$ supersymmetric higher spins

We present, for the first time, the complete off-shell $4D, {\cal N}=2$ superfield actions for any free massless integer spin ${\bf s} \geq 2$ fields, using the ${\cal N}=2$ harmonic superspace approach. The relevant gauge supermultiplet is accommodated by two real analytic bosonic superfields $h^{++}_{α(s-1)\dotα(s-1)}$, $h^{++}_{α(s-2)\dotα(s-2)}$ and two conjugated complex analytic spinor superfields $h^{+3}_{α(s-1)\dotα(s-2)}$, $h^{+3}_{α(s-2)\dotα(s-1)}\,$, where $α(s) := (α_1\ldots α_s), \dotα(s) := (\dotα_1\ldots \dotα_s)$. Like in the harmonic superspace formulations of ${\cal N}=2$ Maxwell and supergravity theories, an infinite number of original off-shell degrees of freedom is reduced to the finite set (in WZ-type gauge) due to an infinite number of the component gauge parameters in the analytic superfield parameters. On shell, the standard spin content $({\bf s, s-1/2, s-1/2, s-1})$ is restored. For ${\bf s}=2$ the action describes the linearized version of "minimal" ${\cal N}=2$ Einstein supergravity.

Higher-dimensional invariants in $6D$ super Yang-Mills theory

We exploit the $6D, {\cal N}=(1,0)$ and ${\cal N}=(1,1)$ harmonic superspace approaches to construct the full set of the maximally supersymmetric on-shell invariants of the canonical dimension ${\bf d=12}$ in $6D, \,{\cal N}=(1,1)$ supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theory. Both single- and double-trace invariants are derived. Only four single-trace and two double-trace invariants prove to be independent. The invariants constructed can provide the possible counterterms of ${\cal N}=(1,1)$ SYM theory at four-loop order, where the first double-trace divergences are expected to appear. We explicitly exhibit the gauge sector of all invariants in terms of ${\cal N} = (1, 0)$ gauge superfields and find the absence of ${\cal N}=(1,1)$ supercompletion of the $F^6$ term in the abelian limit.

Ultraviolet behavior of 6D supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories and harmonic superspace

We revisit the issue of higher-dimensional counterterms for the N=(1,1) supersymmetric Yang-Mills (SYM) theory in six dimensions using the off-shell N=(1,0) and on-shell N=(1,1) harmonic superspace approaches. The second approach is developed in full generality and used to solve, for the first time, the N=(1,1) SYM constraints in terms of N=(1,0) superfields. This provides a convenient tool to write explicit expressions for the candidate counterterms and other N=(1,1) invariants and may be conducive to proving non-renormalization theorems needed to explain the absence of certain logarithmic divergences in higher-loop contributions to scattering amplitudes in N=(1,1) SYM.

Global Symmetries of Quaternion-K$\bf \ddot{a}$hler ${\cal N}=4$ Supersymmetric Mechanics

We analyze the global symmetries of ${\cal N}=4$ supersymmetric mechanics involving $4n$-dimensional Quaternion-Kähler (QK) $1D$ sigma models on projective spaces $\mathbb{H}{\rm H}^n$ and $\mathbb{H}{\rm P}^n$ as the bosonic core. All Noether charges associated with global worldline symmetries are shown to vanish as a result of equations of motion, which implies that we deal with a severely constrained hamiltonian system. The complete hamiltonian analysis of the bosonic sector is performed.

Quantum SU$(2|1)$ supersymmetric $\mathbb{C}^N$ Smorodinsky--Winternitz system

We study quantum properties of SU$(2|1)$ supersymmetric (deformed ${\cal N}=4$, $d=1$ supersymmetric) extension of the superintegrable Smorodinsky--Winternitz system on a complex Euclidian space $\mathbb{C}^N$. The full set of wave functions is constructed and the energy spectrum is calculated. It is shown that SU$(2|1)$ supersymmetry implies the bosonic and fermionic states to belong to separate energy levels, thus exhibiting the "even-odd" splitting of the spectra. The superextended hidden symmetry operators are also defined and their action on SU$(2|1)$ multiplets of the wave functions is given. An equivalent description of the same system in terms of superconformal SU$(2|1,1)$ quantum mechanics is considered and a new representation of the hidden symmetry generators in terms of the SU$(2|1,1)$ ones is found.

Symmetries of deformed supersymmetric mechanics on Kähler manifolds

Based on the systematic Hamiltonian and superfield approaches we construct the deformed $\mathcal{N}=4,8$ supersymmetric mechanics on Kähler manifolds interacting with constant magnetic field, and study their symmetries. At first we construct the deformed $\mathcal{N}=4,8$ supersymmetric Landau problem via minimal coupling of standard (undeformed) $\mathcal{N}=4,8$ supersymmetric free particle systems on Kähler manifold with constant magnetic field. We show that the initial "flat" supersymmetries are necessarily deformed to $SU(2|1)$ and $SU(4|1)$ supersymmetries, with the magnetic field playing the role of deformation parameter, and that the resulting systems inherit all the kinematical symmetries of the initial ones. Then we construct $SU(2|1)$ supersymmetric Kähler oscillators and find that they include, as particular cases, the harmonic oscillator models on complex Euclidian and complex projective spaces, as well as superintegrable deformations thereof, viz. $\mathbb{C}^N$-Smorodinsky-Winternitz and $\mathbb{CP}^N$-Rosochatius systems. We show that the supersymmetric extensions proposed inherit all the kinematical symmetries of the initial bosonic models. They also inherit, at least in the case of $\mathbb{C}^N$ systems, hidden (non-kinematical) symmetries. The superfield formulation of these supersymmetric systems is presented, based on the worldline $SU(2|1)$ and $SU(4|1)$ superspace formalisms.

Supersymmetric hyperbolic Calogero-Sutherland models by gauging

Novel $\mathcal{N}{=}\,2$ and $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ supersymmetric extensions of the Calogero-Sutherland hyperbolic systems are obtained by gauging the ${\rm U}(n)$ isometry of matrix superfield models. The bosonic core of the $\mathcal{N}{=}\,2$ models is the standard $A_{n-1}$ Calogero-Sutherland hyperbolic system, whereas the ${\mathcal N}{=}\,4$ model contains additional semi-dynamical spin variables and is an extension of the U(2) spin Calogero-Sutherland hyperbolic system. We construct two different versions of the ${\mathcal N}{=}\,4$ model, with and without the interacting center-of-mass coordinate in the bosonic sector.

$\mathbb{CP}^N$-Rosochatius system, superintegrability, supersymmetry

We propose new superintegrable mechanical system on the complex projective space $\mathbb{CP}^N$ involving a potential term together with coupling to a constant magnetic fields. This system can be viewed as a $\mathbb{CP}^N$-analog of both the flat singular oscillator and its spherical analog known as "Rosochatius system". We find its constants of motion and calculate their (highly nonlinear) algebra. We also present its classical and quantum solutions. The system belongs to the class of "Kähler oscillators" admitting $SU(2|1)$ supersymmetric extension. We show that, in the absence of magnetic field and with the special choice of the characteristic parameters, one can construct $\mathcal{N}=4, d=1$ Poinacaré supersymmetric extension of the system considered.

Multiparticle $\mathcal{N}{=}\,8$ mechanics with $F(4)$ superconformal symmetry

We present a new multiparticle model of $\mathcal{N}{=}\,8$ mechanics with superconformal $F(4)$ symmetry. The system is constructed in terms of two matrix $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ multiplets. One of them is a bosonic matrix $({\bf 1, 4, 3})$ multiplet and another is a fermionic $({\bf 0, 4, 4})$ one. Off-diagonal bosonic components of the $({\bf 1, 4, 3})$ multiplet are chosen to take values in the flag manifold $\mathrm{U}(n)/[\mathrm{U}(1)]^n$ and they carry additional gauge symmetries. The explicit form of the $F(4)$ supersymmetry generators is found. We demonstrate that the $F(4)$ superalgebra constructed contains as subalgebras two different $D(2,1;α\,{=}{-}1/3)$ superalgebras intersecting over the common $sl(2,\mathbb{R})\oplus su(2)$ subalgebra.

Quaternion-Kähler N=4 Supersymmetric Mechanics

Using the N=4, 1D harmonic superspace approach, we construct a new type of N=4 supersymmetric mechanics involving 4n-dimensional Quaternion-Kähler (QK) 1D sigma models as the bosonic core. The basic ingredients of our construction are {\it local} N=4, 1D supersymmetry realized by the appropriate transformations in 1D harmonic superspace, the general N=4, 1D superfield vielbein and a set of 2(n+1) analytic "matter" superfields representing (n+1) off-shell supermultiplets (4, 4, 0). Both superfield and component actions are given for the simplest QK models with the manifolds \mathbb{H}H^n = Sp(1,n)/[Sp(1) x Sp(n)] and \mathbb{H}P^n = Sp(1+n)/[Sp(1) x Sp(n)] as the bosonic targets. For the general case the relevant superfield action and constraints on the (4, 4, 0) "matter" superfields are presented. Further generalizations are briefly discussed.

Deformed ${\cal N}{=}\,8$ mechanics of ${\bf(8,8,0)}$ multiplets

We construct new models of `curved' SU$(4|1)$ supersymmetric mechanics based on two versions of the off-shell multiplet ${\bf(8,8,0)}$ which are `mirror' to each other. The worldline realizations of the supergroup SU$(4|1)$ are treated as a deformation of flat ${\cal N}{=}\,8$, $d\,{=}\,1$ supersymmetry. Using SU$(4|1)$ chiral superfields, we derive invariant actions for the first-type ${\bf(8,8,0)}$ multiplet, which parametrizes special Kähler manifolds. Since we are not aware of a manifestly SU$(4|1)$ covariant superfield formalism for the second-type ${\bf(8,8,0)}$ multiplet, we perform a general construction of SU$(4|1)$ invariant actions for both multiplet types in terms of SU$(2|1)$ superfields. An important class of such actions enjoys superconformal OSp$(8|2)$ invariance. We also build off-shell actions for the SU$(4|1)$ multiplets ${\bf(6,8,2)}$ and ${\bf(7,8,1)}$ through appropriate substitutions for the component fields in the ${\bf(8,8,0)}$ actions. The ${\bf(6,8,2)}$ actions are shown to respect superconformal SU$(4|1,1)$ invariance.

Quantum SU(2$|$1) supersymmetric Calogero-Moser spinning systems

${\rm SU}(2|1)$ supersymmetric multi-particle quantum mechanics with additional semi-dynamical spin degrees of freedom is considered. In particular, we provide an $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ supersymmetrization of the quantum ${\rm U}(2)$ spin Calogero-Moser model, with an intrinsic mass parameter coming from the centrally-extended superalgebra $\widehat{su}(2|1)$. The full system admits an ${\rm SU}(2|1)$ covariant separation into the center-of-mass sector and the quotient. We derive explicit expressions for the classical and quantum ${\rm SU}(2|1)$ generators in both sectors as well as for the total system, and we determine the relevant energy spectra, degeneracies, and the sets of physical states.

From $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ Galilean superparticle to three-dimensional non-relativistic $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ superfields

We consider the general $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4,$ $d{=}\,3$ Galilean superalgebra with arbitrary central charges and study its dynamical realizations. Using the nonlinear realization techniques, we introduce a class of actions for $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ three-dimensional non-relativistic superparticle, such that they are linear in the central charge Maurer-Cartan one-forms. As a prerequisite to the quantization, we analyze the phase space constraints structure of our model for various choices of the central charges. The first class constraints generate gauge transformations, involving fermionic $κ$-gauge transformations. The quantization of the model gives rise to the collection of free $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$, $d{=}\,3$ Galilean superfields, which can be further employed, e.g., for description of three-dimensional non-relativistic $\mathcal{N}{=}\,4$ supersymmetric theories.

Deformed supersymmetric quantum mechanics with spin variables

We quantize the one-particle model of the ${\rm SU}(2|1)$ supersymmetric multi-particle mechanics with the additional semi-dynamical spin degrees of freedom. We find the relevant energy spectrum and the full set of physical states as functions of the mass-dimension deformation parameter $m$ and ${\rm SU}(2)$ spin $q \in \big( \mathbb{Z}_{>0}\,$, $1/2 + \mathbb{Z}_{\geqslant 0}\big)\,$. It is found that the states at the fixed energy level form irreducible multiplets of the supergroup ${\rm SU}(2|1)\,$. Also, the hidden superconformal symmetry ${\rm OSp}(4|2)$ of the model is revealed in the classical and quantum cases. We calculate the ${\rm OSp}(4|2)$ Casimir operators and demonstrate that the full set of the physical states belonging to different energy levels at fixed $q$ are unified into an irreducible ${\rm OSp}(4|2)$ multiplet.

SU(2|2) supersymmetric mechanics

We introduce a new kind of non-relativistic ${\cal N}{=}\,8$ supersymmetric mechanics, associated with worldline realizations of the supergroup $SU(2|2)$ treated as a deformation of flat ${\cal N}{=}\,8$, $d{=}1$ supersymmetry. Various worldline $SU(2|2)$ superspaces are constructed as coset manifolds of this supergroup, and the corresponding superfield techniques are developed. For the off-shell $SU(2|2)$ multiplets $({\bf 3,8,5})$, $({\bf 4,8,4})$ and $({\bf 5,8,3})$, we construct and analyze the most general superfield and component actions. Common features are mass oscillator-type terms proportional to the deformation parameter and a trigonometric realization of the superconformal group $OSp(4^*|4)$ in the conformal cases. For the simplest $({\bf 5, 8, 3})$ model the quantization is performed.

Off- and on-shell harmonic superspaces for 6D SYM theories

It is a brief account of the harmonic superspace formulations of {\cal N}=(1,0) and {\cal N}=(1,1) SYM theories in six dimensions. The on-shell {\cal N}=(1,1) harmonic superspace is argued to provide an efficient tool of constructing candidate counterterms and other invariants of {\cal N}=(1,1) SYM. It allows one, e.g., to find out an essential difference between the single- and double-trace dimension d=10 invariants, which could be capable to explain the absence of the three-loop double-trace (non-planar) counterterms in this theory. The defining superspace constraints of {\cal N}=(1,1) SYM are solved in terms of {\cal N}=(1,0) harmonic superfields.

Gauged spinning models with deformed supersymmetry

New models of the SU(2|1) supersymmetric mechanics based on gauging the systems with dynamical (1,4,3) and semi-dynamical (4,4,0) supermultiplets are presented. We propose a new version of SU(2|1) harmonic superspace approach which makes it possible to construct the Wess-Zumino term for interacting (4,4,0) multiplets. A new N=4 extension of d=1 Calogero-Moser multiparticle system is obtained by gauging the U(n) isometry of matrix SU(2|1) harmonic superfield model.
