Bethe ansatz equations for orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras and self-dual superspaces

We study solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations associated to the orthosymplectic Lie superalgebras $\mathfrak{osp}_{2m+1|2n}$ and $\mathfrak{osp}_{2m|2n}$. Given a solution, we define a reproduction procedure and use it to construct a family of new solutions which we call a population. To each population we associate a symmetric rational pseudo-differential operator $\mathcal R$. Under some technical assumptions, we show that the superkernel $W$ of $\mathcal R$ is a self-dual superspace of rational functions, and the population is in a canonical bijection with the variety of isotropic full superflags in $W$ and with the set of symmetric complete factorizations of $\mathcal R$. In particular, our results apply to the case of even Lie algebras of type D${}_m$ corresponding to $\mathfrak{osp}_{2m|0}=\mathfrak{so}_{2m}$.

Quantum toroidal algebra associated with $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$

We introduce and study the quantum toroidal algebra $\mathcal{E}_{m|n}(q_1,q_2,q_3)$ associated with the superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ with $m\neq n$, where the parameters satisfy $q_1q_2q_3=1$. We give an evaluation map. The evaluation map is a surjective homomorphism of algebras $\mathcal{E}_{m|n}(q_1,q_2,q_3) \to \widetilde{U}_q\,\widehat{\mathfrak{gl}}_{m|n}$ to the quantum affine algebra associated with the superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ at level $c$ completed with respect to the homogeneous grading, where $q_2=q^2$ and $q_3^{m-n}=c^2$. We also give a bosonic realization of level one $\mathcal{E}_{m|n}(q_1,q_2,q_3)$-modules.

On the supersymmetric XXX spin chains associated to $\mathfrak{gl}_{1|1}$

We study the $\mathfrak{gl}_{1|1}$ supersymmetric XXX spin chains. We give an explicit description of the algebra of Hamiltonians acting on any cyclic tensor products of polynomial evaluation $\mathfrak{gl}_{1|1}$ Yangian modules. It follows that there exists a bijection between common eigenvectors (up to proportionality) of the algebra of Hamiltonians and monic divisors of an explicit polynomial written in terms of the Drinfeld polynomials. In particular our result implies that each common eigenspace of the algebra of Hamiltonians has dimension one. We also give dimensions of the generalized eigenspaces. We show that when the tensor product is irreducible, then all eigenvectors can be constructed using Bethe ansatz. We express the transfer matrices associated to symmetrizers and anti-symmetrizers of vector representations in terms of the first transfer matrix and the center of the Yangian.

The duality of $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ and $\mathfrak{gl}_k$ Gaudin models

We establish a duality of the non-periodic Gaudin model associated with superalgebra $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ and the non-periodic Gaudin model associated with algebra $\mathfrak{gl}_k$. The Hamiltonians of the Gaudin models are given by expansions of a Berezinian of an $(m+n)\times(m+n)$ matrix in the case of $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ and of a column determinant of a $k\times k$ matrix in the case of $\mathfrak{gl}_k$. We obtain our results by proving Capelli type identities for both cases and comparing the results.

Solutions of $\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n}$ XXX Bethe ansatz equation and rational difference operators

We study solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations of the non-homogeneous periodic XXX model associated to super Yangian $\mathrm Y(\mathfrak{gl}_{m|n})$. To a solution we associate a rational difference operator $\mathcal D$ and a superspace of rational functions $W$. We show that the set of complete factorizations of $\mathcal D$ is in canonical bijection with the variety of superflags in $W$ and that each generic superflag defines a solution of the Bethe ansatz equation. We also give the analogous statements for the quasi-periodic supersymmetric spin chains.

The solutions of $\mathfrak{gl}_{M|N}$ Bethe ansatz equation and rational pseudodifferential operators

We describe a reproduction procedure which, given a solution of the $\mathfrak{gl}_{M|N}$ Gaudin Bethe ansatz equation associated to a tensor product of polynomial modules, produces a family $P$ of other solutions called the population. To a population we associate a rational pseudodifferential operator $R$ and a superspace $W$ of rational functions. We show that if at least one module is typical then the population $P$ is canonically identified with the set of minimal factorizations of $R$ and with the space of full superflags in $W$. We conjecture that the singular eigenvectors (up to rescaling) of all $\mathfrak{gl}_{M|N}$ Gaudin Hamiltonians are in a bijective correspondence with certain superspaces of rational functions.

Representations of quantum affine algebras of type $B_N$

We study finite-dimensional representations of quantum affine algebras of type $B_N$. We show that a module is tame if and only if it is thin. In other words, the Cartan currents are diagonalizable if and only if all joint generalized eigenspaces have dimension one. We classify all such modules and describe their $q$-characters. In some cases, the $q$-characters are described by super standard Young tableaux of type $(2N|1)$.

Gaudin models for gl(m|n)

We establish the basics of the Bethe ansatz for the Gaudin model associated to the Lie superalgebra gl(m|n). In particular, we prove the completeness of the Bethe ansatz in the case of tensor products of fundamental representations.

Extended $T$-System of Type $G_2$

We prove a family of 3-term relations in the Grothendieck ring of the category of finite-dimensional modules over the affine quantum algebra of type $G_2$ extending the celebrated $T$-system relations of type $G_2$. We show that these relations can be used to compute classes of certain irreducible modules, including classes of all minimal affinizations of type $G_2$. We use this result to obtain explicit formulas for dimensions of all participating modules.

On the number of populations of critical points of master functions

We consider the master functions associated with one irreducible integrable highest weight representation of a Kac-Moody algebra. We study the generation procedure of new critical points from a given critical point of one of these master functions. We show that all critical points of all these master functions can be generated from the critical point of the master function with no variables. In particular this means that the set of all critical points of all these master functions form a single population of critical points. We formulate a conjecture that the number of populations of critical points of master functions associated with a tensor product of irreducible integrable highest weight representations of a Kac-Moody algebra are labeled by homomorphisms to $\C$ of the Bethe algebra of the Gaudin model associated with this tensor product.

Generating Operator of XXX or Gaudin Transfer Matrices Has Quasi-Exponential Kernel

Let $M$ be the tensor product of finite-dimensional polynomial evaluation Yangian $Y(gl_N)$-modules. Consider the universal difference operator $D = \sum_{k=0}^N (-1)^k T_k(u) e^{-k\partial_u}$ whose coefficients $T_k(u): M \to M$ are the XXX transfer matrices associated with $M$. We show that the difference equation $Df = 0$ for an $M$-valued function $f$ has a basis of solutions consisting of quasi-exponentials. We prove the same for the universal differential operator $D = \sum_{k=0}^N (-1)^k S_k(u) \partial_u^{N-k}$ whose coefficients $S_k(u) : M \to M$ are the Gaudin transfer matrices associated with the tensor product $M$ of finite-dimensional polynomial evaluation $gl_N[x]$-modules.

Multiplicity of critical points of master functions and Schubert calculus

In [MV], some correspondences were defined between critical points of master functions associated to sl_{N+1} and subspaces of C[x] with given ramification properties. In this paper we show that these correspondences are in fact scheme theoretic isomorphisms of appropriate schemes. This gives relations between multiplicities of critical point loci of the relevant master functions and multiplicities in Schubert calculus.

Miura Opers and Critical Points of Master Functions

Critical points of a master function associated to a simple Lie algebra \g come in families called the populations [MV1]. We prove that a population is isomorphic to the flag variety of the Langlands dual Lie algebra \g^t. The proof is based on the correspondence between critical points and differential operators called the Miura opers. For a Miura oper D, associated with a critical point of a population, we show that all solutions of the differential equation DY=0 can be written explicitly in terms of critical points composing the population.

Discrete Miura Opers and Solutions of the Bethe Ansatz Equations

Solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations associated to the XXX model of a simple Lie algebra come in families called the populations. We prove that a population is isomorphic to the flag variety of the Langlands dual Lie algebra. The proof is based on the correspondence between the solutions of the Bethe ansatz equations and special difference operators which we call the discrete Miura opers. The notion of a discrete Miura oper is one of the main results of the paper. For a discrete Miura oper D, associated to a point of a population, we show that all solutions of the difference equation DY=0 are rational functions, and the solutions can be written explicitly in terms of points composing the population.

Norm of a Bethe Vector and the Hessian of the Master Function

We show that the Bethe vectors are non-zero vectors in the sl_{r+1} Gaudin model. Moreover, we show that the norm of a Bethe vector is equal to the Hessian of the corresponding master function at the corresponding non-degenerate critical point. This result is a byproduct of functorial properties of Bethe vectors studied in this paper. As other byproducts of functoriality we show that the Bethe vectors form a basis in the tensor product of several copies of first and last fundamental sl_{r+1} modules and we show transversality of some Schubert cycles in the Grassmannian of r+1-dimensional planes in the space of polynomials of one variable of degree not greater than d.

Self-self-dual spaces of polynomials

A space of polynomials V of dimension 7 is called self-dual if the divided Wronskian of any 6-subspace is in V. A self-dual space V has a natural inner product. The divided Wronskian of any isotropic 3-subspace of V is a square of a polynomial. We call V self-self-dual if the square root of the divided Wronskian of any isotropic 3-subspace is again in V. We show that the self-self-dual spaces have a natural non-degenerate skew-symmetric 3-form defined in terms of Wronskians. We show that the self-self-dual spaces correspond to G_2-populations related to the Bethe Ansatz of the Gaudin model of type G_2 and prove that a G_2-population is isomorphic to the G_2 flag variety.

The Hopf algebra $Rep U_q \hat{gl}_\infty$

We define the Hopf algebra structure on the Grothendieck group of finite-dimensional polynomial representations of $U_q \hat{gl}_N$ in the limit $N \to \infty$. The resulting Hopf algebra $Rep U_q \hat{gl}_\infty$ is a tensor product of its Hopf subalgebras $Rep_a U_q \hat{gl}_\infty$, $a\in\C^\times/q^{2\Z}$. When $q$ is generic (resp., $q^2$ is a primitive root of unity of order $l$), we construct an isomorphism between the Hopf algebra $Rep_a U_q \hat{gl}_\infty$ and the algebra of regular functions on the prounipotent proalgebraic group $SL_\infty^-$ (resp., $\tilde{GL}_l^-$). When $q$ is a root of unity, this isomorphism identifies the Hopf subalgebra of $Rep_a U_q \hat{gl}_\infty$ spanned by the modules obtained by pullback with respect to the Frobenius homomorphism with the algebra generated by the coefficients of the determinant of an element of $\tilde{GL}_l^-$. This gives us an explicit formula for the Frobenius pullbacks of the fundamental representations. In addition, we construct a natural action of the Hall algebra associated to the infinite linear quiver (resp., the cyclic quiver with $l$ vertices) on $Rep_a U_q \hat{gl}_infty$ and describe the span of the tensor products of the evaluation representations taken at fixed points as a module over this Hall algebra.
