On space of integrable quantum field theories

We study deformations of 2D Integrable Quantum Field Theories (IQFT) which preserve integrability (the existence of infinitely many local integrals of motion). The IQFT are understood as "effective field theories", with finite ultraviolet cutoff. We show that for any such IQFT there are infinitely many integrable deformations generated by scalar local fields $X_s$, which are in one-to-one correspondence with the local integrals of motion; moreover, the scalars $X_s$ are built from the components of the associated conserved currents in a universal way. The first of these scalars, $X_1$, coincides with the composite field $(T{\bar T})$ built from the components of the energy-momentum tensor. The deformations of quantum field theories generated by $X_1$ are "solvable" in a certain sense, even if the original theory is not integrable. In a massive IQFT the deformations $X_s$ are identified with the deformations of the corresponding factorizable S-matrix via the CDD factor. The situation is illustrated by explicit construction of the form factors of the operators $X_s$ in sine-Gordon theory. We also make some remarks on the problem of UV completeness of such integrable deformations.

Connecting lattice and relativistic models via conformal field theory

We consider the quantum group invariant XXZ-model. In infrared limit it describes Conformal Field Theory with modified energy-momentum tensor. The correlation functions are related to solutions of level -4 of qKZ equations. We describe these solutions relating them to level 0 solutions. We further consider general matrix elements (form factors) containing local operators and asymptotic states. We explain that the formulae for solutions of qKZ equations suggest a decomposition of these matrix elements with respect to states of corresponding Conformal Field Theory .

A Model with Propagating Spinons beyond One Dimension

For the model of frustrated spin-1/2 Heisenberg magnet described in A. A. Nersesyan and A. M. Tsvelik, (Phys. Rev. B{\bf 67}, 024422 (2003)) we calculate correlation functions of staggered magnetization and dimerization. The model is formulated as a collection of antiferromagnetic chains weakly coupled by a frustrated exchange interaction. The calculation done for the case of four chains demonstrates that these functions do not vanish. Since the correlation functions in question factorize into a product of correlation functions of spinon creation and annihilation operators, this constitutes a proof that spinons in this model propagate in the direction perpendicular to the chains.

Baxter equations and Deformation of Abelian Differentials

In this paper the proofs are given of important properties of deformed Abelian differentials introduced earlier in connection with quantum integrable systems. The starting point of the construction is Baxter equation. In particular, we prove Riemann bilinear relation. Duality plays important role in our consideration. Classical limit is considered in details.

Emptiness Formation Probability and Quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov Equation

We consider the one-dimensional XXX spin 1/2 Heisenberg antiferromagnet at zero temperature and zero magnetic field. We are interested in a probability of formation of a ferromagnetic string in the antiferromagnetic ground-state. We call it emptiness formation probability [EFP]. We suggest a new technique for computation of EFP in the inhomogeneous case. It is based on quantum Knizhnik-Zamolodchikov equation. We evalauted EFP for strings of the length six in the inhomogeneous case. The homogeneous limit confirms our hypothesis about the relation of quantum correlations to number theory. We also make a conjecture about a general structure of EFP for arbitrary lenght of the string \.

On quantization of affine Jacobi varieties of spectral curves

A quantum integrable model related to $U_q(\hat{sl}(N))$ is considered. A reduced model is introduced which allows interpretation in terms of quantized affine Jacobi variety. Closed commutation relations for observables of reduced model are found.

Cohomologies of Affine Jacobi Varieties and Integrable Systems

We study the affine ring of the affine Jacobi variety of a hyper-elliptic curve. The matrix construction of the affine hyper-elliptic Jacobi varieties due to Mumford is used to calculate the character of the affine ring. By decomposing the character we make several conjectures on the cohomology groups of the affine hyper-elliptic Jacobi varieties. In the integrable system described by the family of these affine hyper-elliptic Jacobi varieties, the affine ring is closely related to the algebra of functions on the phase space, classical observables. We show that the affine ring is generated by the highest cohomology group over the action of the invariant vector fields on the Jacobi variety.

Structure of Matrix Elements in Quantum Toda Chain

We consider the quantum Toda chain using the method of separation of variables. We show that the matrix elements of operators in the model are written in terms of finite number of ``deformed Abelian integrals''. The properties of these integrals are discussed. We explain that these properties are necessary in order to provide the correct number of independent operators. The comparison with the classical theory is done.

Null-vectors in Integrable Field Theory

The form factor bootstrap approach allows to construct the space of local fields in the massive restricted sine-Gordon model. This space has to be isomorphic to that of the corresponding minimal model of conformal field theory. We describe the subspaces which correspond to the Verma modules of primary fields in terms of the commutative algebra of local integrals of motion and of a fermion (Neveu-Schwarz or Ramond depending on the particular primary field). The description of null-vectors relies on the relation between form factors and deformed hyper-elliptic integrals. The null-vectors correspond to the deformed exact forms and to the deformed Riemann bilinear identity. In the operator language, the null-vectors are created by the action of two operators $\CQ$ (linear in the fermion) and $\CC$ (quadratic in the fermion). We show that by factorizing out the null-vectors one gets the space of operators with the correct character. In the classical limit, using the operators $\CQ$ and $\CC$ we obtain a new, very compact, description of the KdV hierarchy. We also discuss a beautiful relation with the method of Whitham.

Form factors, KdV and Deformed Hyperelliptic Curves

We review and summarize recent works on the relation between form factors in integrable quantum field theory and deformation of geometrical data associated to hyper-elliptic curves. This relation, which is based on a deformation of the Riemann bilinear identity, in particular leads to the notion of null vectors in integrable field theory and to a new description of the KdV hierarchy.

Quantization of Solitons and the Restricted Sine-Gordon Model

We show how to compute form factors, matrix elements of local fields, in the restricted sine-Gordon model, at the reflectionless points, by quantizing solitons. We introduce (quantum) separated variables in which the Hamiltonians are expressed in terms of (quantum) tau-functions. We explicitly describe the soliton wave functions, and we explain how the restriction is related to an unusual hermitian structure. We also present a semi-classical analysis which enlightens the fact that the restricted sine-Gordon model corresponds to an analytical continuation of the sine-Gordon model, intermediate between sine-Gordon and KdV.

Counting the local fields in SG theory.

In terms of the form factor bootstrap we describe all the local fields in SG theory and check the agreement with the free fermion case. We discuss the interesting structure responsible for counting the local fields.

On the deformation of abelian integrals

We consider the deformation of abelian integrals which arose from the study of SG form factors. Besides the known properties they are shown to satisfy Riemann bilinear identity. The deformation of intersection number of cycles on hyperelliptic curve is introduced.

What are we quantizing in integrable field theory?

We continue study of the connection of classical limit of integrable asymptotically free field theory to the finite-gap solutions of classical integrable equations. In the limit the momenta of particles turn into the moduli of Riemann surfaces while their isotopic structure is related to the period lattices. In this paper we explain that the classical limit of the local operators can be understood as a measure induced on the phase space by embedding into the projective space of "classical fields".
