Beyond scalar QED radiative corrections: the $ρ^{\pm}-ρ^0$ width difference, FSR corrections and their impact on $Δa_μ^{\rm HVP, LO}[τ]$

In a previous paper arXiv:0708.3256 [hep-ph] we have calculated the radiative corrections to $ρ\to ππ$ decays, aiming to estimate the width difference between charged and neutral rho mesons. There, we have used the scalar QED approximation and taken the convection terms to keep the loop contributions finite in the case of charged rho meson decays. Here we compute the radiative corrections by considering the electromagnetic structure of charged mesons and we also include the full Lorentz structure of the electromagnetic vertices. We re-evaluate the width difference of $ρ^{\pm}-ρ^0$ vector mesons and calculate the structure-dependent contributions to Final State Radiation terms in the $e^+e^-\to π^+π^-$ cross section. Both effects are important inputs for evaluating the isospin breaking corrections in the dominant hadronic vacuum polarization contributions to the muon $g-2$ when using $τ$ lepton data.

Muon g-2 through a flavor structure on soft SUSY terms

In this work we analyze the possibility to explain the muon anomalous magnetic moment discrepancy within theory and experiment through lepton flavor violation processes. We propose a flavor extended MSSM by considering a hierarchical family structure for the trilinear scalar Soft-Supersymmetric terms of the Lagranagian, present at the SUSY breaking scale. We obtain analytical results for the rotation mass matrix, with the consequence of having non-universal slepton masses and the possibility of leptonic flavour mixing. The one-loop supersymmetric contributions to the leptonic flavour violating process $τ\to μγ$ are calculated in the physical basis, with slepton flavour mixed states, instead of using the well known Mass Insertion Method. We present the regions in parameter space where the muon g-2 problem is either entirely solved or partially reduced through the contribution of these flavor violating processes.

Lepton flavor violation in an extended MSSM

In this work we explore a lepton flavor violation effect induced at one loop for a flavor structure in an extended minimal standard supersymmetric model, considering an ansatz for the trilinear term. In particular we find a finite expression which will show the impact of this phenomena in the $h\to μτ$ decay, produced by a mixing in the trilinear coupling of the soft supersymmetric Lagrangian.

Structure-dependent radiative corrections to phi -> K^+K^-/K_LK_S decays

Current predictions for the ratio of phi -> K^+K^-/K_LK_S decay rates exceed the corresponding experimental value in about five standard deviations. By far, the dominant sources of isospin breaking to this ratio are the phase-space (52%) and the electromagnetic radiative (4.3%, computed within scalar QED) corrections. Here we estimate the effects of the electromagnetic structure of kaons and other model-dependent contributions into the radiative corrections.

The width difference of rho vector mesons

We compute the difference in decay widths of charged and neutral ρ(770) vector mesons. The isospin breaking arising from mass differences of neutral and charged πand ρmesons, radiative corrections to ρ-> ππ, and the ρ-> ππγdecays are taken into account. It is found that the width difference ΔΓ_rho is very sensitive ot the isospin breaking in the $ρ$ meson mass Δm_ρ. This result can be useful to test the correlations observed between the values of these parameters extracted from experimental data.
