Some qualitative properties of solutions for nonlinear fractional differential equation involving two $Φ$--Caputo fractional derivatives

The momentous objective of this work is to discuss some qualitative properties of solutions such as the estimate on the solutions, the continuous dependence of the solutions on initial conditions as well as the existence and uniqueness of extremal solutions for a new class of fractional differential equations involving two fractional derivatives in the sense of Caputo fractional derivative with respect to a new function $Φ$. Firstly, by using the generalized Laplace transform method, we give an explicit formula of the solutions for the aforementioned linear problem which can be regarded as a novelty item. Secondly, by the implementation of the $Φ$--fractional Gronwall inequality we analyze some properties such as estimates and continuous dependence of the solutions on initial conditions. Thirdly, with the help of features of the Mittag-Leffler functions (M-LFs) we build a new comparison principle for the corresponding linear equation this outcome plays a vital role in the forthcoming analysis of this paper especially when we combine it with the monotone iterative technique alongside facet with the method of upper and lower solutions to get the extremal solutions for the analyzed problem. Lastly, we offer some examples to confirm the validity of our main results.

Analysis of some generalized ABC- fractional logistic models

In this article, some logistic models in the settings of Caputo fractional operators with multi-parametered Mittag-Leffer kernels (ABC) are studied. This study mainly focuses on modified quadratic and cubic logistic models in the presence of a Caputo type fractional derivative. Existence and uniqueness theorems are proved and stability analysis is discussed by perturbing the equilibrium points. Numerical illustrative examples are discussed for the studied models.

On more general forms of proportional fractional operators

In this article, we propose new proportional fractional operators generated from local proportional derivatives of a function with respect to another function. We present some properties of these fractional operators which can be also called proportional fractional operators of a function with respect to another function or proportional fractional operators with dependence on a kernel function.

Fractional differences and sums with binomial coefficients

In fractional calculus there are two approaches to obtain fractional derivatives. The first approach is by iterating the integral and then defining a fractional order by using Cauchy formula to obtain Riemann fractional integrals and derivatives. The second approach is by iterating the derivative and then defining a fractional order by making use of the binomial theorem to obtain Grünwald-Litnikov fractional derivatives. In this article we formulate the delta and nabla discrete versions for left and right fractional integrals and derivatives representing the second approach. Then, we use the discrete version of the Q-operator and some discrete fractional dual identities to prove that the presented fractional differences and sums coincide with the discrete Riemann ones describing the first approach.

Positive solutions of some elliptic differential equations with oscillating nonlinearity

We discuss the occurrence of positive solutions which decay to 0 as $| x|\to+\infty$ to the differential equation $Δu+f(x,u)+g(| x|)x\cdot\nabla u=0$, $| x|>R>0$, $x\in\mathbb{R}^{n}$, where $n\geq 3$, $g$ is nonnegative valued and $f$ has alternating sign, by means of the comparison method. Our results complement several recent contributions from [M. Ehrnström, O.G. Mustafa, On positive solutions of a class of nonlinear elliptic equations, Nonlinear Anal. TMA 67 (2007), 1147--1154].

Variational Optimal-Control Problems with Delayed Arguments on Time Scales

This article deals with variational optimal-control problems on time scales in the presence of delay in the state variables. The problem is considered on a time scale unifying the discrete, the continuous and the quantum cases. Two examples in the discrete and quantum cases are analyzed to illustrate our results.

A Fite type result for sequential fractional differential equations

Given the solution $f$ of the sequential fractional differential equation $_{a}D_{t}^α(_{a}D_{t}^αf)+P(t)f=0$, $t\in[b,c]$, where $-\infty<a<b<c<+\infty$, $α\in({1/2},1)$ and $P:[a,+\infty)\to[0,P_{\infty}]$, $P_{\infty}<+\infty$, is continuous, assume that there exist $t_1,t_2\in[b,c]$ such that $f(t_1)=(_{a}D_{t}^αf)(t_2)=0$. Then, we establish here a positive lower bound for $c-a$ which depends solely on $α,P_{\infty}$. Such a result might be useful in discussing disconjugate fractional differential equations and fractional interpolation, similarly to the case of (integer order) ordinary differential equations.
