Spinning Particles around Einstein-Geometric Proca AdS Compact Objects

We investigate the dynamics of spinning test particles in the vicinity of Einstein--geometric Proca (EGP) Anti-de Sitter (AdS) compact objects, which arise from metric-Palatini gravity extended by the antisymmetric part of the affine curvature. Using the Mathisson-Papapetrou-Dixon (MPD) equations with the Tulczyjew spin supplementary condition, we derive the effective potential and analyze the equatorial motion of spinning particles. The influence of the model parameters $q_{1}$, $q_{2}$, and the Proca mass parameter $σ$ on the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO), superluminal spin bounds, and orbital stability is systematically explored. Our results show that increasing $q_{1}$ and $q_{2}$ reduces the ISCO radius, angular momentum, and energy, while spin orientation introduces significant modifications to orbital behavior. We further examine head-on collisions of spinning particles near the horizon and demonstrate how the center-of-mass energy depends on spin and the EGP theory parameters. The study reveals that Einstein-geometric Proca AdS black holes may act as efficient particle accelerators, with distinctive features absent in Schwarzschild or standard AdS backgrounds. These findings provide new insights into the interplay between spin dynamics, modified gravity, and strong-field compact object physics.

Constraining $β$-Exponential Inflation with the latest ACT observations

Recent observations from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT), especially when combined with DESI baryon acoustic oscillation data, indicate a scalar spectral index $n_s$ higher than the value reported by \textit{Planck} 2018, placing tension on universal inflationary attractor models. Motivated by this discrepancy, we investigate the inflationary predictions of the $β$-exponential potential, $V(ϕ)=V_0\left(1-λβϕ/M_p\right)^{1/β}$ considering both minimally and non-minimally coupled realizations. This potential generalizes standard exponential inflation and naturally arises in braneworld scenarios. We derive analytical expressions for the slow-roll parameters and inflationary observables using a perturbative expansion in the non-minimal coupling $ξ$, and validate these results through numerical calculations. In the minimally coupled case, the model predicts $n_s \simeq 0.976$ and $r \simeq 0.035$ for $N=50$ and moderate values of β, remaining compatible with ACT+DESI constraints at the 1σlevel while yielding a spectral tilt larger than the universal attractor prediction. Introducing a small non-minimal coupling significantly improves agreement with observations by suppressing the tensor-to-scalar ratio while preserving the enhanced scalar tilt. For $N=60, λ\sim 0.3-0.5$, and $β\sim O(1-5)$, the non-minimally coupled model yields $n_s \simeq 0.974-0.976$ and $r \lesssim 0.03$, comfortably consistent with ACT, DESI, and BICEP/Keck bounds. Our results show that the $β$-exponential potential, especially when implemented with a non-minimal coupling, exhibits good agreement with the latest CMB observations. Our inflationary predictions of the non-minimal model of $n_s$ and $r$ confirming the leading-order contributions in $ξ$ are sufficient to capture the essential features of both $r$ and $n_s$ in observationally relevant regimes.

Accretion flow around Kerr metric in the infra-red limit of asymptotically safe gravity

We investigate accretion disk dynamics and the formation of quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) in the infrared limit around Kerr-like black holes in asymptotically safe gravity. Relativistic hydrodynamic solutions of Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton (BHL) accretion reveal that quantum corrections significantly modify the structure of the shock cone formed around the black hole. The black hole spin controls the azimuthal asymmetry of the shock cone through frame-dragging effects, whereas the quantum correction parameter effectively reduces the strength of gravitational focusing by modifying the metric coefficients in the strong-field region, resulting in a wider shock opening angle, weaker post-shock compression, and reduced density concentration within the cone. Time-dependent mass accretion rates reveal oscillation modes trapped within the shock cone. The power spectral density (PSD) investigations suggest that these modes naturally generate low-frequency QPOs, whose amplitudes, coherence, and harmonic structure depend on both the spin and the quantum correction parameter. The PSD analyses performed at different radial locations reveal that identical QPO frequencies are obtained in all cases. The numerically detected frequencies result from the excitation of global oscillation modes trapped within the post-shock region. The resulting global modes are found to consist of fundamental frequencies, their associated harmonic overtones, and near-commensurate frequency ratios such as 2:1 and 3:2. Coherent oscillations are enhanced and near-commensurate frequency ratios are produced when moderate rotation and moderate quantum corrections are coupled. Large quantum correction parameters, on the other hand, wash out unique spectral peaks and suppress oscillation amplitudes.

Relativistic accretion process onto rotating black holes in Einstein-Euler-Heisenberg nonlinear electrodynamic gravity

In this study, we uncover the accretion dynamics and oscillatory behavior around rotating black holes within the EEH nonlinear electrodynamic framework by analyzing both the motion of test particles and numerically solving the general relativistic hydrodynamic equations. Using EEH geometry, we compute the structure of circular motion, the effective potential and force, and we evaluate the orbital, radial, and vertical epicyclic frequencies together with the Lense-Thirring and periastron precession rates. Our calculations show that, compared to the Kerr model, the charge parameter $Q$ and the spin parameter $a$ significantly modify the strong gravitational field and shift the characteristic frequencies. We then model the dynamical structure formed by matter accreting toward the EEH black hole through the BHL mechanism, finding that the parameter $Q$ increases the amount of infalling matter and strengthens shock-cone instabilities near the horizon, while farther from the black hole it suppresses accretion and reduces turbulence. Time-series analysis of the accretion rate reveals robust QPOs, whose low-frequency components arise from the precession of the shock cone, while high-frequency components appear as a consequence of strong-field instabilities modified by $Q$ and $a$. A systematic parameter-space exploration identifies the regions where EEH corrections maximize QPO activity, indicating that nonlinear electrodynamics can leave observable imprints on accretion flows and may be testable with QPO and horizon-scale observations.

Origin of Quasi-Periodic Oscillations and Accretion Process in X-Ray Binaries around Quantum Lee-Wick Black Hole

In this study, we investigate the accretion dynamics and test particle motion around a non-rotating, spherically symmetric Lee-Wick black hole (BH) to reveal how the model parameters affect orbital stability and the quasi-periodic oscillations (QPOs) observed in X-ray binary systems. The spacetime geometry, characterized by the BH mass and the coupling parameters $S_1$ and $S_2$, includes exponential and oscillatory corrections arising from the Lee-Wick terms. Using the effective potential approach, we derive specific energy, angular momentum, epicyclic frequencies, and the locations of the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) of test particles. In addition to the analytical analysis, we explore the effects of the Lee-Wick spacetime parameters on the shock-cone morphology produced by Bondi-Hoyle-Lyttleton (BHL) accretion. To this end, we perform general relativistic hydrodynamic simulations in two characteristic regimes: Block-1 (weak Lee-Wick regime) and Block-2 (strong Lee-Wick regime). The results show that Block-1 solutions closely resemble the Schwarzschild case, while Block-2 models develop denser and asymmetric shock cones accompanied by stronger QPOs activity, shifting from low-frequency to high-frequency QPOs. These variations yield distinct observational signatures that may be detectable in high-resolution X-ray timing data. Our analytical and numerical findings demonstrate that the Lee-Wick parameters $S_1$ and $S_2$ cause measurable changes in the morphology of the accretion flow and in the frequency ratios near the BH. This suggests that future multi-wavelength observations could provide an important avenue to test higher-derivative gravity theories.

Structure and Mass-Radius Stability of Charged Compact Objects in Symmetric Teleparallel Euler-Heisenberg Gravity

In this work, we develop a new relativistic model for a charged anisotropic compact star in the framework of modified symmetric teleparallel gravity, namely $f(Q)$-Euler-Heisenberg gravity. By employing the MIT bag model equation of state, we establish a relation between the metric potentials, leading to an exact solution of the field equations for an anisotropic fluid configuration coupled with a non-linear electromagnetic source. The interior spacetime is smoothly matched with the exterior geometry calculated from the theoretical setup of $f(Q)$-Euler-Heisenberg gravity using the Darmois-Israel junction conditions, ensuring the continuity of the metric functions and their derivatives at the stellar boundary. The physical viability of the model is examined through regularity, energy, and causality conditions, all of which are satisfied throughout the stellar interior. The study highlights how the pressure anisotropy, the propagation speeds of sound, and the Tolman-Oppenheimer-Volkoff balance condition are interconnected, showing that the star remains in mechanical equilibrium only when the gravitational, hydrostatic, electric, and anisotropic contributions counterbalance one another appropriately. The dynamical stability of the configuration is further supported by the requirement $Γ> \tfrac{4}{3}$ for the adiabatic index, indicating resilience against small radial perturbations. The plots of compactness, surface redshift, and the mass--radius profiles confirm that all physical quantities behave regularly and vary smoothly throughout the stellar interior. We graphically plotted the mass-radius curves.

Magnetized particle motion and accretion process with shock cone morphology around a decoupled hairy black holes

Relativistic accretion onto compact objects such as black holes and neutron stars is one of the most efficient known mechanisms for converting gravitational potential energy into radiation. In the case of rapidly spinning black holes, up to $40\%$ of the rest-mass energy of accreting matter can be released, far exceeding the efficiency of nuclear fusion. In this work, we investigate magnetized particle motion and relativistic accretion processes around a decoupled hairy black hole via extended geometric deformation. The developed geometry involves two hairy parameters that preserve the horizon structure with the additional feature of the fulfillment of weak energy conditions outside the event horizon. We provide the foundation with necessary formalism for magnetized particle motion around a decoupled black hole. The effective potential and innermost stable circular orbits are then derived, which demonstrate a significant reduction of the radius of the latter quantity under the hairy parameters for the magnetized particle. Afterwards, we obtain exact analytical expressions for radial velocity profiles, mass accretion rates, and a few others which reveal improved energy efficiency and emissivity as compared to the standard black hole. Furthermore, the decoupling parameter shows strong influence on oscillations, accretion presenting fantastic agreement between analytical predictions and numerical simulations, and thus offering noticeable observational signatures for future gravitational wave and X-ray astronomy.

Constraining non-minimally coupled squared-Quartic Hilltop Inflation in light of ACT observations

The combination of the data from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) with the recent measurements from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT) indicate that the scalar spectral index \( n_s \) has a larger value than the Planck 2018 which leads to tension within standard inflationary models. In this study in order to explain the new data, We consider the squared-Quartic Hilltop inflation potential \( V(ϕ) = V_0 [1 - λ(ϕ/M_p)^4]^2 \) within the Einstein and Jordan frames. In the Jordan frame we introduce the coupling term \( ξϕ^2 R \) and we calculate analytic expressions for the slow-roll parameters, scalar spectral index, and tensor-to-scalar ratio on the weak and strong coupling regimes. In the weak limit (\( ξ\ll 1 \)), perturbative corrections slightly increase \( n_s \) and suppress \( r \), leading to \( n_s \simeq 0.9743 \) and \( r \sim 7.8 \times 10^{-5} \) for representative parameters \( λ= 10^{-3}, ξ= 10^{-3}, {\cal N} = 117 \), values which are in agreement with the joint Planck--ACT--DESI (P-ACT-LB) constraints. On the other hand, for a strong coupled (\( ξ\gg 1 \)), the conformal rescaling provides an exponentially flat potential plateau, which allows us to calculate \( n_s \approx 0.9743 \) with \( r \lesssim 5 \times 10^{-4} \) for \( {\cal N} = 65{-}70 \), consistent with ACT and BK18 bounds. The associated energy scale of inflation, \( V_0^{1/4} \sim 10^{-3}{-}10^{-2} M_p \), remains compatible with high-scale inflationary scenarios.

Radiative-Corrected Higgs Inflation in Light of the Latest ACT Observations

Recent measurements from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT), particularly when combined with DESI baryon acoustic oscillation data, have reported a scalar spectral index $n_s$ slightly higher than that inferred by {\it Planck}~2018, suggesting a mild tension with the predictions of standard inflationary attractor models. In this work, we revisit the quantum-corrected Higgs inflation scenario within the framework of a non-minimally coupled scalar field theory. Starting from the one-loop effective action, we incorporate radiative corrections through the anomalous scaling parameter ${\bf A_I}$ and derive analytic expressions for the inflationary observables $n_s$ and $r$ in the Einstein frame. Our analysis demonstrates that quantum corrections naturally shift $n_s$ toward higher values while keeping the tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$ suppressed. For ${\cal N} = 60$, the model predicts $n_s \simeq 0.9743$ and $r \simeq 5.4\times10^{-3}$, in excellent agreement with the latest ACT+DESI (P-ACT-LB) data and fully consistent with the \textit{Planck}~2018 limit $r < 0.036$. The derived constraint $4.36\times10^{-10} < λ/ξ^{2} < 10.77\times10^{-10}$ confirms the robustness of the quantum-corrected Higgs framework and indicates that near-future CMB polarization experiments such as CORE, AliCPT, LiteBIRD, and CMB-S4 will be able to probe the predicted parameter space with high precision.

ACT Constraints on Marginally Deformed Starobinsky Inflation

We investigate the inflationary phenomenology of a marginally deformed Starobinsky model, motivated by quantum corrections to the $R^{2}$ term, in light of the latest cosmological observations. In this framework, the inflationary potential acquires a small deformation parameter, $γ$, which shifts predictions away from the exact Starobinsky limit. Using the slow-roll formalism, we derive analytic expressions for the spectral index $n_{s}$ and tensor-to-scalar ratio $r$ and confront them with constraints from Planck, ACT, and DESI data. Our analysis shows that nonzero values of $γ$ raise both $n_{s}$ and $r$, thereby alleviating the $\gtrsim 2σ$ tension between the Starobinsky $R^{2}$ scenario and the ACT+DESI (P-ACT-LB) measurements, which favor $n_{s} \simeq 0.9743 \pm 0.0034$. For $N \sim 60$ $e$-foldings, the model consistently reproduces the observed amplitude of primordial perturbations while predicting tensor contributions within current observational bounds. We also demonstrate that the deformation softens the otherwise severe fine-tuning of the quartic self-coupling in minimally coupled inflation. The parameter range $γ\sim \mathcal{O}(10^{-3})$-$\mathcal{O}(10^{-2})$ emerges as phenomenologically viable, providing a natural extension of Starobinsky inflation compatible with present data. We conclude that marginally deformed $R^{2}$ inflation remains a compelling and testable candidate for the primordial dynamics of the Universe, with future CMB and gravitational-wave observations expected to further probe its parameter space.

Thermodynamics of Einstein-Geometric Proca AdS compact objects

In this study we explore metric-Palatini gravity extended by the antisymmetric component of the affine curvature. This gravitational theory results in general relativity plus a geometric Proca field. Building on our previous work, where we constructed its static spherically symmetric solutions in the Anti-de Sitter (AdS) background (Eur. Phys. J. C 83(4):318, 2023), we conduct a comprehensive analysis of the system's thermodynamics. We examine the thermodynamic properties of the Einstein-Geometric Proca AdS compact objects, focusing on the Hawking temperature, enthalpy, heat capacity, entropy, and Gibbs free energy. Particular attention is given to the dependence of the Hawking temperature, enthalpy, and heat capacity on the uniform potential $q_{1}$ and the electromagnetic-type charge $q_{2}$. Through numerical analysis we compute the entropy and Gibbs free energy and investigate how these quantities vary with the model parameters.

Quantum-Corrected $ϕ^{4}$ Inflation in Light of ACT Observations

Recent measurements from the Atacama Cosmology Telescope (ACT), combined with Planck and DESI data, suggest a scalar spectral index $n_s$ higher than the Planck 2018 baseline, thereby placing conventional attractor-type inflationary models such as Starobinsky $R^2$ and Higgs inflation under increasing tension at the $\gtrsim 2σ$ level. In this work, we examine quantum-corrected $ϕ^4$ inflation with a non-minimal coupling to gravity. Introducing an anomalous scaling parameter $γ$ to capture quantum corrections to the effective potential, we derive analytic expressions for the inflationary observables $n_s$ and $r$. Confronting these predictions with ACT, Planck, and BAO+lensing constraints, we demonstrate that modest values of $γ$ can raise $n_s$ into the ACT-preferred range while maintaining a strongly suppressed tensor-to-scalar ratio. For instance, with $N=60$ and $γ\simeq 0.006$, the model predicts $n_s\simeq 0.974$ and $r\simeq 0.007$, in excellent agreement with current bounds. We further investigate preheating dynamics, focusing on particle production via parametric resonance in quantum-corrected $ϕ^4$ inflation with a non-minimal coupling to gravity. In this scenario, the inflaton $ϕ$ couples to an additional scalar $χ$ through an interaction $g^{2}ϕ^{2}χ^{2}$. In Minkowski spacetime, the resonance dynamics reduce to the Mathieu equation, and we find that broad resonance can be readily achieved, leading to efficient particle production.

Influence of external magnetic fields on charged particle motion around a Schwarzschild-like black hole

We investigate the dynamics of charged and neutral particles in the vicinity of a Schwarzschild-like black hole immersed in an external magnetic field. We find that the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCOs) for charged particles are systematically smaller than those of neutral particles, demonstrating a fundamental distinction in their orbital dynamics. In the presence of a strong magnetic field, charged particle ISCOs can approach arbitrarily close to the event horizon. We show that collisions between charged particles in ISCOs and neutral particles falling from infinity can produce unbounded center-of-mass energies in the strong-field regime, suggesting the black hole magnetosphere as a natural particle accelerator. Additionally, we apply the relativistic precession model to study quasi-periodic oscillations around the Schwarzschild-like black hole, treating orbital perturbations as coupled harmonic oscillators. Our results provide new insights into high-energy astrophysical processes near magnetized black holes and offer observational signatures through quasi-periodic oscillating frequencies that could be detected by current and future X-ray missions.

Testing Quantum-Corrected Black Holes with QPOs Observations: A Study of Particle Dynamics and Accretion Flow

We study the epicyclic oscillations of test particles around rotating quantum-corrected black holes (QCBHs), characterized by mass $M$, spin $a$, and quantum deformation parameter $b$. By deriving the radial ($Ω_r$) and vertical ($Ω_θ$) oscillation frequencies, we explore their dependence on spacetime parameters and show that quantum corrections ($b \neq 0$) significantly modify the dynamics compared to the classical Kerr case. Through numerical modelling of accretion around QCBHs, we further examine how $b$ influences strong-field phenomena, comparing the results with test-particle dynamics and observational data. Our analysis reveals: 1. Quantum corrections shift the ISCOs outward, with $b$ altering the effective potential and conditions for stable circular motion. 2. The curvature of the potential and thus the epicyclic frequencies change $Ω_r$ shows up to 25% deviation for typical $b$ values, underscoring sensitivity to quantum effects. 3. Precession behavior is modified: while Lense-Thirring precession ($Ω_{LT}$) remains primarily governed by $a$, periastron precession ($Ω_P$) is notably affected by $b$, especially near the black hole. 4. Accretion disk simulations confirm the physical effects of $b$, aligning well with the test particle analysis. Moreover, quasi-periodic oscillation (QPO) frequencies obtained via both approaches agree with observed low-frequency QPOs from sources like GRS $1915+105$, GRO $J1655{-}40$, XTE $J1550{-}564$, and $H1743{-}322$. The distinct frequency profiles and altered ratios offer observational signatures that may distinguish QCBHs from classical black holes. Our findings present testable predictions for X-ray timing and a new avenue to constrain quantum gravity parameters.

Scalar Field Dynamics in Non-Minimally Coupled Theories via the Noether Symmetry and the Eisenhart-Duval Lift

This study investigates the dynamics of a non-minimally coupled (NMC) scalar field in modified gravity, employing the Noether gauge symmetry (NGS) approach to systematically derive exact cosmological solutions. By formulating a point-like Lagrangian and analyzing the corresponding Euler-Lagrange equations, conserved quantities were identified, reducing the complexity of the dynamical system. Through the application of Noether symmetry principles, the scalar field potential was found to follow a power-law form, explicitly dependent on the coupling parameter $ξ$, influencing the evolution of the universe. The study further explores inflationary dynamics, showing that for specific values of $ξ$, the potential resembles the Higgs-like structure, contributing to a deeper understanding of early cosmic expansion. To enhance the theoretical framework, the Eisenhart lift method was introduced, providing a geometric interpretation of the system by embedding the dynamical variables within an extended field space. This approach established a connection between the kinetic terms and Killing vectors, offering an alternative perspective on the conserved quantities. The study also derived geodesic equations governing the evolution of the system, reinforcing the link between symmetry-based techniques and fundamental cosmological properties.

Probing single-field inflation: predictions, constraints, and theoretical viewpoints

This work investigates a single-field inflationary model, a specific class of the K-essence models where a coupling term exists between canonical Lagrangian and the potential. This coupling term has many effects on key inflationary parameters consisting of the power spectral, the spectral index, the tensor-to-scalar ratio, the Hubble parameter, the equation of state parameter, and the slow-roll parameter. By solving the equations numerically and deriving analytical results, how this modification affects inflationary dynamics can be analyzed. Our results show that the coupling term, $α$, decreases the inflationary parameters, such as the tensor-to-scalar ratio, $r$, and improves the consistency with observational constraints from Planck and BICEP/Keck at the $68 \%$ and $95 \%$ confidence. These findings indicate that the studied model provides a promising alternative to the early universe dynamics while aligning with recent cosmological observations.

Influence of Quantum Correction on Kerr Black Hole in Effective Loop Quantum Gravity via Shadows and EHT Results

Recently, a study on shadow of quantum corrected Schwarzschild black hole in loop quantum gravity appeared in [Ye et al., Phys. Lett. B 851, 138566, (2024)] assuming a fixed value of Barbero-Immirzi parameter $γ$. Following this approach, we considered its rotating counterpart being a quantum corrected Kerr black hole in effective loop quantum gravity and studied its deviation from Kerr black hole for a fixed value of $γ$. We proposed and proved a theorem describing the location of unstable circular null orbits for all such Kerr-like metrics. The deviation between the shadows of the Kerr and quantum corrected Kerr black holes has also been studied, and parameters are constrained by comparison with the EHT results for M87* and Sgr A* to precisely probe the quantity of deviation due to quantum correction. Lastly, we immersed the quantum corrected Kerr black hole in an inhomogeneous plasma and studied its impact on the shadow size. We found that the unstable null orbits for the quantum corrected Kerr black hole are always smaller than the unstable null orbits for Kerr black hole. The effect of Barbero-Immirzi parameter allows the quantum corrected Kerr black hole to mimic Sgr A* with a higher probability than the Kerr black hole. However, the quantum corrected Kerr black hole does not mimic M87*. The plasma reduces the size of the shadow of quantum corrected black hole, and the plasma parameter in the case II is more sensitive than that in case I.

Dark Sector Interactions: Probing the Hubble Parameter and the Sound Horizon

In this study, we explore the impact of the interacting parameter on dark matter in a model resulting from a parametrization of dark energy density. To ensure a model-independent approach, we treat \( r_d \) as a free parameter, avoiding assumptions about the physics of the early Universe or specific recombination models. This approach allows late-time cosmological observations to directly constrain \( r_d \) along with other parameters. Using recent measurements from the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI) Year 1, cosmic chronometers (CC) and Pantheon\(^{+}\) supernova (SNe Ia) data, we uncover a significant effect of the interacting parameter on dark matter. Our analysis reveals that while non-interacting models attribute 68.2\% of the cosmic energy density to dark energy, interacting models increase this share to 73.4\%. To further probe these differences, we evaluate the evolution of the deceleration parameter for each model, contrasting them against the \(Λ\)CDM paradigm and observational data from CC and SNe Ia measurements. Finally, we apply various statistical metrics to rigorously assess the performance of these models.
