Associated production of one particle and a Drell-Yan pair in hadronic collisions

We propose a collinear factorization formula for the associated production of one particle and a Drell-Yan pair in hadronic collisions. It is shown that additional collinear singularities appearing in the next-to-leading order calculations that can not be factorized into parton and fragmentation functions are systematically renormalized by introducing fracture functions. Next-to-leading order coefficient functions for cross-sections double differential in the fractional energy of the identified hadron and lepton pair invariant mass are presented.

An update on the evolution of double parton distributions

We consider double parton distributions in the general case in which the virtualities of the interacting partons are different. We elaborate the corresponding evolution equations and their extension to next-to-leading logarithmic accuracy.

Scale evolution of kt-distributions

We review some of the features of the evolutions equations for transverse momentum dependent parton distributions recently proposed by us. We briefly describe the new ingredients entering the equations and their relationship with ordinary evolution equations. We comment on possible choices for the initial conditions and then show results for the evolved distributions obtained by numerical implementation of the equations. By computing the average transverse momentum at different scale we highlight some general properties of the solutions.

Scale Evolution of Unintegrated Distributions and the p_t Spectrum of Gauge Bosons

We present predictions for the $Z$-boson $p_t$-spectrum at Tevatron within the framework of unintegrated distributions evolved according to evolution equations recently proposed by us. We discuss the dependence of the results on the choice of non-perturbative parameters, the coupling constant and the impact of soft gluon resummation.

Transverse Momentum in Semi-inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering

Within the framework of perturbative Quantum Chromodynamics we derive transverse momentum dependent distributions describing both current and target fragmentation in semi-inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering. We present, to leading logarithmic accuracy, the corresponding crosssections describing final state hadrons on the whole phase space. Phenomenological implications and further developments are briefly discussed.
