How does the supercritical GMC converge?

In the spirit of [M. Biskup & O. Louidor, Adv. Math. 330 (2018)], we study the local structure of $\star$-scale invariant fields -- a class of log-correlated Gaussian fields -- around their extremal points by characterising the law of the "shape" of the field's configuration near such points. As a consequence, we obtain a refined understanding of the freezing phenomenon in supercritical Gaussian multiplicative chaos.

Uniqueness of supercritical Gaussian multiplicative chaos

We show that, for general convolution approximations to a large class of log-correlated Gaussian fields, the properly normalised supercritical Gaussian multiplicative chaos measures converge stably to a nontrivial limit. This limit depends on the choice of regularisation only through a multiplicative constant and can be characterised as an integrated atomic measure with a random intensity expressed in terms of the critical Gaussian multiplicative chaos.

Liouville Brownian motion and quantum cones in dimension $d > 2$

For $d > 2$ and $γ\in (0, \sqrt{2d})$, we study the Liouville Brownian motion associated with the whole-space log-correlated Gaussian field in $\mathbb{R}^d$. We compute its spectral dimension, i.e., the short-time asymptotics of the heat kernel along the diagonal, which, in contrast to the two-dimensional case, depends on both $γ$ and on the thickness of the starting point. Furthermore, for even dimensions $d > 2$, we show that the spherical average process of the whole-space log-correlated Gaussian field in $\mathbb{R}^d$ can be identified with the integral of a stationary Gaussian Markov process of order $(d-2)/2$. Exploiting this representation, we construct the higher-dimensional analogue of the $β$-quantum cone for $β\in (-\infty, Q)$, with $Q = d/γ+ γ/2$. Lastly, for $α= Q - \sqrt{Q^2-4}$, we prove that the law of the $d$-dimensional $α$-quantum cone is invariant under shifts along the trajectories of the associated Liouville Brownian motion.

Scaling limits of planar maps under the Smith embedding

The Smith embedding of a finite planar map with two marked vertices, possibly with conductances on the edges, is a way of representing the map as a tiling of a finite cylinder by rectangles. In this embedding, each edge of the planar map corresponds to a rectangle, and each vertex corresponds to a horizontal segment. Given a sequence of finite planar maps embedded in an infinite cylinder, such that the random walk on both the map and its planar dual converges to Brownian motion modulo time change, we prove that the a priori embedding is close to an affine transformation of the Smith embedding at large scales. By applying this result, we prove that the Smith embeddings of mated-CRT maps with the sphere topology converge to $γ$-Liouville quantum gravity ($γ$-LQG).

Weak uniqueness by noise for singular stochastic PDEs

We prove weak uniqueness of mild solutions for general classes of SPDEs on a Hilbert space. The main novelty is that the drift is only defined on a Sobolev-type subspace and no Hölder-continuity assumptions are required. This framework turns out to be effective to achieve novel uniqueness results for several specific examples. Such wide range of applications is obtained by exploiting either coloured or rougher-than-cylindrical noises.

Multifractal analysis of Gaussian multiplicative chaos and applications

Let $M_γ$ be a subcritical Gaussian multiplicative chaos measure associated with a general log-correlated Gaussian field defined on a bounded domain $D \subset \mathbb{R}^d$, $d \geq 1$. We find an explicit formula for its singularity spectrum by showing that $M_γ$ satisfies almost surely the multifractal formalism, i.e., we prove that its singularity spectrum is almost surely equal to the Legendre-Fenchel transform of its $L^q$-spectrum. Then, applying this result, we compute the lower singularity spectrum of the multifractal random walk and of the Liouville Brownian motion.

Random separation property for stochastic Allen-Cahn-type equations

We study a large class of stochastic $p$-Laplace Allen-Cahn equations with singular potential. Under suitable assumptions on the (multiplicative-type) noise we first prove existence, uniqueness, and regularity of variational solutions. Then, we show that a random separation property holds, i.e. almost every trajectory is strictly separated in space and time from the potential barriers. The threshold of separation is random, and we further provide exponential estimates on the probability of separation from the barriers. Eventually, we exhibit a convergence-in-probability result for the random separation threshold towards the deterministic one, as the noise vanishes, and we obtain an estimate of the convergence rate.

Stochastic Allen-Cahn Equation with Logarithmic Potential

We prove existence and uniqueness of a solution for the stochastic Allen-Cahn equation with logarithmic potential and multiplicative Wiener noise, under homogeneous Neumann boundary condition. The existence of a solution is obtained in the variational sense by means of an approximated equation involving a Yosida regularization of the nonlinearity. The noise is assumed to vanish at the extremal points of the physical relevant domain and to satisfy a suitable Lipschitz-continuity property, allowing to prove uniform estimates of the approximated solution. The passage to the limit is then carried out and continuous dependence on the initial datum of the solution is verified. Under an additional assumption, the existence of an analytically strong solution is proved. Finally, estimates for the derivatives of the logarithmic potential are derived, in view of the study of an optimal control problem associated to the stochastic Allen-Cahn equation.
