Weaving Riesz Bases

This paper explores woven frames in separable Hilbert spaces with an initial focus on the finite-dimensional case. We begin by simplifying the problem to bases, for which we obtain a unique characterization. We establish a condition that is both necessary and sufficient for vector reconstruction, which applies to Fourier matrices. Furthermore, we show that these characterizations are still valid in the infinite-dimensional case, for Riesz bases. Finally, we obtain several results for weaving Riesz bases of translations.

Sets with large intersection properties in metric spaces

In this work we reproduce the characterization of $\Gg^s$-sets from the euclidean setting [J. London Math. Soc. 49:267-280,1994] to more general metric spaces. These sets have Hausdorff dimension at least $s$ and are closed by countable intersections, which is particularly useful to estimate the dimension of the so called sets of $α$-approximable points (that typically appear in Diophantine approximations).

The Nyquist sampling rate for spiraling curves

We consider the problem of reconstructing a compactly supported function from samples of its Fourier transform taken along a spiral. We determine the Nyquist sampling rate in terms of the density of the spiral and show that below this rate spirals suffer from an approximate form of aliasing. This sets a limit to the amount of undersampling that compressible signals admit when sampled along spirals. More precisely, we derive a lower bound on the condition number for the reconstruction of functions of bounded variation, and for functions that are sparse in the Haar wavelet basis.
