Variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and their applications in Fourier Analysis

In this paper, we introduce a new class of function spaces, which unify and generalize Lorentz-Karamata spaces, variable Lorentz spaces and other several classical function spaces. Based on the new spaces, we develop the theory of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and apply it to Fourier Analysis. To be precise, we discuss the basic properties of Lorentz-Karamata spaces with variable exponents. We introduce five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and characterize them via simple atoms as well as via atoms. As applications of the atomic decompositions, dual theorems and the generalized John-Nirenberg theorem for the new framework are presented. Moreover, we obtain the boundedness of $σ$-sublinear operator defined on variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces, which leads to martingale inequalities and the relation of the five variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces. Also, we investigate the boundedness of fractional integral operators in this new framework. Finally, we deal with the applications of variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces in Fourier analysis by using the previous results. More precisely, we show that the partial sums of the Walsh-Fourier series converge to the function in norm if $f\in L_{p(\cdot),q,b}$ with $1<p_-\le p_+<\infty$. The Fejér summability method is also studied and it is proved that the maximal Fejér operator is bounded from variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces to variable Lorentz-Karamata spaces. As a consequence, we get conclusions about almost everywhere and norm convergence of Fejér means. The results obtained in this paper generalize the results for martingale Hardy-Lorentz-Karamata spaces and variable martingale Hardy-Lorentz spaces. Especially, we remove the condition that $b$ is nondecreasing in previous literature.

Hardy-Littlewood-type theorems for Fourier transforms in $\R^d$

We obtain Fourier inequalities in the weighted $L_p$ spaces for any $1<p<\infty$ involving the Hardy-Cesàro and Hardy-Bellman operators. We extend these results to product Hardy spaces for $p\le 1$. Moreover, boundedness of the Hardy-Cesàro and Hardy-Bellman operators in various spaces (Lebesgue, Hardy, BMO) is discussed. One of our main tools is an appropriate version of the Hardy-Littlewood-Paley inequality $ \|\widehat{f}\|_{L_{p',q}} \lesssim \left\|f\right\|_{L_{p,q}}$.

Variable Martingale Hardy Spaces and Their Applications in Fourier Analysis

Let $p(\cdot)$ be a measurable function defined on a probability space satisfying $0 1$. The boundedness of the maximal Fej{é}r operator on $H_{p(\cdot)}$ and $H_{p(\cdot),q}$ is proved whenever $p_->1/2$ and the condition $\frac{1}{p_-}-\frac{1}{p_+} <1$ hold. It is surprising that this last condition does not appear for trigonometric Fourier series. One of the key points of the proof is that we introduce two new dyadic maximal operators and prove their boundedness on $L_{p(\cdot)}$ with $p_->1$. The method we use to prove these results is new even in the classical case. As a consequence, we obtain theorems about almost everywhere and norm convergence of the Fejér means.

Mixed martingale Hardy spaces

In this paper we consider the martingale Hardy spaces defined with the help of the mixed $L_{\pv}$-norm. Five mixed martingale Hardy spaces will be investigated: $H_{\pv}^{s}$, $H_{\pv}^S$, $H_{\pv}^M$, $\cP_{\pv}$ and $\cQ_{\pv}$. Several results are proved for these spaces, like atomic decompositions, Doob's inequality, boundedness, martingale inequalities and the generalization of the well-known Burkholder-Davis-Gundy inequality.

New Martingale Inequalities and Applications to Fourier Analysis

Let $(Ω,\mathcal{F},\mathbb{P})$ be a probability space and $φ:\ Ω\times[0,\infty)\to[0,\infty)$ be a Musielak-Orlicz function. In this article, the authors prove that the Doob maximal operator is bounded on the Musielak-Orlicz space $L^φ(Ω)$. Using this and extrapolation method, the authors then establish a Fefferman-Stein vector-valued Doob maximal inequality on $L^φ(Ω)$. As applications, the authors obtain the dual version of the Doob maximal inequality and the Stein inequality for $L^φ(Ω)$, which are new even in weighted Orlicz spaces. The authors then establish the atomic characterizations of martingale Musielak-Orlicz Hardy spaces $H_φ^s(Ω)$, $P_φ(Ω)$, $Q_φ(Ω)$, $H_φ^S(Ω)$ and $H_φ^M(Ω)$. From these atomic characterizations, the authors further deduce some martingale inequalities between different martingale Musielak-Orlicz Hardy spaces, which essentially improve the corresponding results in Orlicz space case and are also new even in weighted Orlicz spaces. By establishing the Davis decomposition on $H_φ^S(Ω)$ and $H_φ^M(Ω)$, the authors obtain the Burkholder-Davis-Gundy inequality associated with Musielak--Orlicz functions. Finally, using the previous martingale inequalities, the authors prove that the maximal Fejér operator is bounded from $H_φ[0,1)$ to $L^φ[0,1)$, which further implies some convergence results of the Fejér means; these results are new even for the weighted Hardy spaces.

Summability of Multi-Dimensional Trigonometric Fourier Series

We consider the summability of one- and multi-dimensional trigonometric Fourier series. The Fej{é}r and Riesz summability methods are investigated in detail. Different types of summation and convergence are considered. We will prove that the maximal operator of the summability means is bounded from the Hardy space $H_p$ to $L_p$, for all $p>p_0$, where $p_0$ depends on the summability method and the dimension. For $p=1$, we obtain a weak type inequality by interpolation, which ensures the almost everywhere convergence of the summability means. Similar results are formulated for the more general $θ$-summability and for Fourier transforms.
