The group of automorphisms of a real rational surface is n-transitive

Let X be a rational nonsingular compact connected real algebraic surface. Denote by Aut(X) the group of real algebraic automorphisms of X. We show that the group Aut(X) acts n-transitively on X, for all natural integers n. As an application we give a new and simpler proof of the fact that two rational nonsingular compact connected real algebraic surfaces are isomorphic if and only if they are homeomorphic as topological surfaces.

Real singular Del Pezzo surfaces and threefolds fibred by rational curves, I

Let W -> X be a real smooth projective threefold fibred by rational curves. Kollár proved that if W(R) is orientable a connected component N of W(R) is essentially either a Seifert fibred manifold or a connected sum of lens spaces. Let k : = k(N) be the integer defined as follows: If g : N -> F is a Seifert fibration, one defines k : = k(N) as the number of multiple fibres of g, while, if N is a connected sum of lens spaces, k is defined as the number of lens spaces different from P^3(R). Our Main Theorem says: If X is a geometrically rational surface, then k <= 4. Moreover we show that if F is diffeomorphic to S^1xS^1, then W(R) is connected and k = 0. These results answer in the affirmative two questions of Kollár who proved in 1999 that k <= 6 and suggested that 4 would be the sharp bound. We derive the Theorem from a careful study of real singular Del Pezzo surfaces with only Du Val singularities.

Nombres de Betti des surfaces elliptiques réelles

We prove a new bound for the number of connected components of a real regular elliptic surface with a real section and we show the sharpness of this bound. Furthermore, all possible values for the Betti numbers of such a surface are realized.

Every connected sum of lens spaces is a real component of a uniruled algebraic variety

Let M be a connected sum of finitely many lens spaces, and let N be a connected sum of finitely many copies of S^1xS^2. We show that there is a uniruled algebraic variety X such that the connected sum M#N of M and N is diffeomorphic to a connected component of the set of real points X(R) of X. In particular, any finite connected sum of lens spaces is diffeomorphic to a real component of a uniruled algebraic variety.

Surfaces elliptiques réelles et inégalité de Ragsdale-Viro

On a real regular elliptic surface without multiple fiber, the Betti number $h_1$ and the Hodge number $h^{1,1}$ are related by $h_1\leq h^{1,1}$. We prove that it's always possible to deform such algebraic surface to obtain $h_1=h^{1,1}$. Furthermore, we can impose that each homology class can be represented by a real algebraic curve. We use a real version of the modular construction of elliptic surfaces.

Algebraic cycles and topology of real Enriques surfaces

For a real Enriques surface Y we prove that every homology class in H_1(Y(R), Z/2) can be represented by a real algebraic curve if and only if all connected components of Y(R) are orientable. Furthermore, we give a characterization of real Enriques surfaces which are Galois-Maximal and/or Z-Galois-Maximal and we determine the Brauer group of any real Enriques surface.

Cycles algébriques sur les surfaces K3 réelles

For a real algebraic K3 surface $X(R)$, we give all possible values of the dimension $h^1_{alg}(X(R)$ of the group $\H^1_{alg}(X(R),Z/2)$ of algebraic cycles of $X(R)$. In particular, we prove that if $X(R)$ is not an M-surface, $X(R)$ can always be deformed to some $X'(R)$ with $h^1_{alg}(X'(R))=\dim\H^1(X(R),Z/2)$. Furthermore, we obtain that in certain moduli space of real algebraic K3 surfaces, the collection of real isomorphism classes of K3 surfaces $X(R)$ such that $h^1_{alg}(X(R))$is greater or equal than $k$ is a countable union of subspaces of dimension $20-k$.
