Epistemological remarks about the Ghirardi-Rimini-Weber quantum theory

We discuss the epistemological features of the Ghirardi, Rimini and Weber proposal to modify quantum mechanics in order to overcome the objectification problem, that means the transition between the quantum and the classical level of description of natural phenomena. We shall show that the GRW is a realistic theory, but in a way quite different from Einstein realism or other kinds of realism proposed in the past, such as the Many World Interpretation or the Bohmian Mechanics.

My life with GianCarlo Ghirardi, a great friend, a great teacher and a great physicist

In these shorts notes I want to remembermy relationship with GianCarlo Ghirardi, who was my supervisor in my Master Degree in Physics at the University of Trieste and then he became a very deep and close friend. I don't want to describe in details his scientific steps in the world of modern Physics: many others will make better than me. I want only to share which was my relationship with him as a teacher, a man, and expecially as a deep friend, for more than 40 years.

A critical analysis of Popper's experiment

An experiment which could decide against the Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics has been proposed by K. Popper and, subsequently, it has been criticized by M.J. Collett and R. Loudon. Here we show that both the above mentioned arguments are not correct because they are based on a misuse of basic quantum rules.
