Two-Loop Electroweak Corrections to the A^0 gamma gamma and A^0 g g Couplings of the CP-Odd Higgs Boson

Using the asymptotic-expansion technique, we compute the dominant two-loop electroweak corrections, of O(G_F m_t^2), to production and decay via a pair of photons or gluons of the CP-odd Higgs boson A^0 in a two-Higgs-doublet model with low- to intermediate values of the Higgs-boson masses and ratio tan(beta)=v_2/v_1 of the vacuum expectation values. We also study the influence of a sequential heavy-fermion generation. The appearance of three gamma_5 matrices in closed fermion loops requires special care in the dimensional regularisation of ultraviolet divergences. The finite renormalisation constant for the pseudoscalar current effectively restoring the anticommutativity of the gamma_5 matrix, familiar from perturbative quantum chromodynamics, is found not to receive a correction in this order. We also revisit the dominant two-loop electroweak correction to the H -> gamma gamma decay width in the standard model with a fourth fermion generation.

Dominant two-loop electroweak corrections to the hadroproduction of a pseudoscalar Higgs boson and its photonic decay

We present the dominant two-loop electroweak corrections to the partial decay widths to gluon jets and prompt photons of the neutral CP-odd Higgs boson A^0, with mass M_{A^0} < 2 M_W, in the two-Higgs-doublet model for low to intermediate values of the ratio tan(beta) = v_2/v_1 of the vacuum expectation values. They apply as they stand to the production cross sections in hadronic and two-photon collisions, at the Tevatron, the LHC, and a future photon collider. The appearance of three gamma_5 matrices in closed fermion loops requires special care in the dimensional regularization of ultraviolet divergences. The corrections are negative and amount to several percent, so that they fully compensate or partly screen the enhancement due to QCD corrections.

O(G_F^2 m_t^4) two-loop electroweak correction to Higgs-boson decay to bottom quarks

We analytically calculate the dominant two-loop electroweak correction, of O(G_F^2 m_t^4), to the partial width of the decay of a Higgs boson, with mass M_H << m_t, into a bottom-quark pair, and describe the most important conceptual and technical details of our calculation. As a by-product of our analysis, we also recover the O(alpha_s G_F m_t^2) correction. Relative to the Born result, the O(G_F^2 m_t^4) correction turns out to be approximately +0.047% and, thus, more than compensates the O(alpha_s G_F m_t^2) one, which amounts to approximately -0.022%.

Two-loop virtual top-quark effect on Higgs-boson decay to bottom quarks

In most of the mass range encompassed by the limits from the direct search and the electroweak precision tests, the Higgs boson of the standard model preferably decays to bottom quarks. We present, in analytic form, the dominant two-loop electroweak correction, of O(G_F^2 m_t^4), to the partial width of this decay. It amplifies the familiar enhancement due to the O(G_F m_t^2) one-loop correction by about +16% and thus more than compensates the screening by about -8% through strong-interaction effects of order O(alpha_s G_F m_t^2).

Higgs Decay to Photons at Two Loops

The calculation of the two-loop corrections to the partial width of an intermediate-mass Higgs boson decaying into a pair of photons is reviewed. The main focus lies on the electroweak (EW) contributions. The sum of the EW corrections ranges from -4% to 0% for a Higgs mass between 100 GeV and 150 GeV, while the complete correction at two-loop order amounts to less than +-1.5% in this regime.

Two-loop electroweak correction of O(G_F M_t^2) to the Higgs-boson decay into photons

We compute the dominant two-loop electroweak correction, of O(G_F M_t^2), to the partial width of the decay of an intermediate-mass Higgs boson into a pair of photons. We use the asymptotic-expansion technique in order to extract the leading dependence on the top-quark mass plus four expansion terms that describe the dependence on the W- and Higgs-boson masses. This correction reduces the Born result by approximately 2.5%. As a by-product of our analysis, we also recover the O(G_F M_t^2) correction to the partial width of the Higgs-boson decay to two gluon jets.
