The monogenic Hua-Radon transform and its inverse

The monogenic Hua-Radon transform is defined as an orthogonal projection on holomorphic functions in the Lie sphere. Extending the work of Sabadini and Sommen, J. Geom. Anal. 29 (2019), 2709-2737, we determine its reproducing kernel. Integrating this kernel over the Stiefel manifold yields a linear combination of the zonal spherical monogenics. Using the reproducing properties of those monogenics we obtain an inversion for the monogenic Hua-Radon transform.

On the Radon transform and the Dirac delta distribution in superspace

In this manuscript, we obtain a plane wave decomposition for the delta distribution in superspace, provided that the superdimension is not odd and negative. This decomposition allows for explicit inversion formulas for the super Radon transform in these cases. Moreover, we prove a more general Radon inversion formula valid for all possible integer values of the superdimension. The proof of this result comes along with the study of fractional powers of the super Laplacian, their fundamental solutions, and the plane wave decompositions of super Riesz kernels.

Inversions for the Hua-Radon and the polarized Hua-Radon transform

The Hua-Radon and polarized Hua-Radon transform are two orthogonal projections defined on holomorphic functions in the Lie sphere. Both transformations can be written as integral transforms with respect to a suitable reproducing kernel. Integrating both kernels over a Stiefel manifold yields a linear combination of zonal spherical monogenics. Using an Almansi type decomposition of holomorphic functions and reproducing properties of the zonal monogenics, we obtain an inversion formula for both the Hua-Radon and the polarized Hua-Radon transform.

A primer on Script Geometry

This text is an exposition of a new approach into discrete differential geometry, called Script Geometry. In difference to classic approaches while scripts are based on complexes of cells we are not limited to simplicial complexes. One of the principal concepts of Script Geometry is the notion of tightness which is a minimality condition corresponds to the condition that the local homology at the level of cells is trivial and provides us the equivalence of a Poincare lemma. Basic concepts and properties of scripts are presented as well as operations on scripts. Also the necessary concepts of metrics, dual scripts, Dirac and Laplace operators are presented to provide the groundwork for a discrete function theory. To help understanding the concepts concrete and illustrative examples are provided.

Pizzetti and Cauchy formulae for higher dimensional surfaces: a distributional approach

In this paper, we study Pizzetti-type formulas for Stiefel manifolds and Cauchy-type formulas for the tangential Dirac operator from a distributional perspective. First we illustrate a general distributional method for integration over manifolds in $\mathbb R^m$ defined by means of $k$ equations $φ_1(\underline{x})=\ldots=φ_k(\underline{x})=0$. Next, we apply this method to derive an alternative proof of the Pizzetti formulae for the real Stiefel manifolds $SO(m)/SO(m-k)$. Besides, a distributional interpretation to invariant oriented integration is provided. In particular, we obtain a distributional Cauchy theorem for the tangential Dirac operator on an embedded $(m-k)$-dimensional smooth surface.

The Spin Group in Superspace

There are two well-known ways of describing elements of the rotation group SO$(m)$. First, according to the Cartan-Dieudonné theorem, every rotation matrix can be written as an even number of reflections. And second, they can also be expressed as the exponential of some anti-symmetric matrix. In this paper, we study similar descriptions of a group of rotations SO${}_0$ in the superspace setting. This group can be seen as the action of the functor of points of the orthosymplectic supergroup OSp$(m|2n)$ on a Grassmann algebra. While still being connected, the group SO${}_0$ is thus no longer compact. As a consequence, it cannot be fully described by just one action of the exponential map on its Lie algebra. Instead, we obtain an Iwasawa-type decomposition for this group in terms of three exponentials acting on three direct summands of the corresponding Lie algebra of supermatrices. At the same time, SO${}_0$ strictly contains the group generated by super-vector reflections. Therefore, its Lie algebra is isomorphic to a certain extension of the algebra of superbivectors. This means that the Spin group in this setting has to be seen as the group generated by the exponentials of the so-called extended superbivectors in order to cover SO${}_0$. We also study the actions of this Spin group on supervectors and provide a proper subset of it that is a double cover of SO${}_0$. Finally, we show that every fractional Fourier transform in n bosonic dimensions can be seen as an element of this spin group.

Bochner-Martinelli formula in superspace

In a series of recent papers, a harmonic and hypercomplex function theory in superspace has been established and amply developed. In this paper, we address the problem of establishing Cauchy integral formulae in the framework of Hermitian Clifford analysis in superspace. This allows us to obtain a successful extension of the classical Bochner-Martinelli formula to superspace by means of the corresponding projections on the space of spinor-valued superfunctions.

Distributions and Integration in superspace

Distributions in superspace constitute a very useful tool for establishing an integration theory. In particular, distributions have been used to obtain a suitable extension of the Cauchy formula to superspace and to define integration over the superball and the supersphere through the Heaviside and Dirac distributions, respectively. In this paper, we extend the distributional approach to integration over more general domains and surfaces in superspace. The notions of domain and surface in superspace are defined by smooth bosonic phase functions $g$. This allows to define domain integrals and oriented (as well as non-oriented) surface integrals in terms of the Heaviside and Dirac distributions of the superfunction $g$. It will be shown that the presented definition for the integrals does not depend on the choice of the phase function $g$ defining the corresponding domain or surface. In addition, some examples of integration over a super-paraboloid and a super-hyperboloid will be presented. Finally, a new distributional Cauchy-Pompeiu formula will be obtained, which generalizes and unifies the previously known approaches.

Plane wave formulas for spherical, complex and symplectic harmonics

This paper is concerned with spherical harmonics, and two refinements thereof: complex harmonics and symplectic harmonics. The reproducing kernels of the spherical and complex harmonics are explicitly given in terms of Gegenbauer or Jacobi polynomials. In the first part of the paper we determine the reproducing kernel for the space of symplectic harmonics, which is again expressible as a Jacobi polynomial of a suitable argument. In the second part we find plane wave formulas for the reproducing kernels of the three types of harmonics, expressing them as suitable integrals over Stiefel manifolds. This is achieved using Pizzetti formulas that express the integrals in terms of differential operators.

On the radial derivative of the delta distribution

Possibilities for defining the radial derivative of the delta distribution $δ(\underline{x})$ in the setting of spherical coordinates are explored. This leads to the introduction of a new class of continuous linear functionals similar to but different from the standard distributions. The radial derivative of $δ(\underline{x})$ then belongs to that new class of so-called signumdistributions. It is shown that these signumdistributions obey easy-to-handle calculus rules which are in accordance with those for the standard distributions in $\mathbb{R}^m$.

On two-sided monogenic functions of axial type

In this paper we study two-sided (left and right) axially symmetric solutions of a generalized Cauchy-Riemann operator. We present three methods to obtain special solutions: via the Cauchy-Kowalevski extension theorem, via plane wave integrals and Funk-Hecke's formula and via primitivation. Each of these methods is effective enough to generate all the polynomial solutions.

A Cauchy kernel for the Hermitian submonogenic system

Hermitian monogenic functions are the null solutions of two complex Dirac type operators. The system of these complex Dirac operators is overdetermined and may be reduced to constraints for the Cauchy datum together with what we called the Hermitian submonogenic system (see [8],[9]). This last system is no longer overdetermined and it has properties that are similar to those of the standard Dirac operator in Euclidean space, such as a Cauchy-Kowalevski extension theorem and Vekua type solutions. In this paper, we investigate plane wave solutions of the Hermitian submonogenic system, leading to the construction of a Cauchy kernel. We also establish a Stokes type formula that, when applied to the Cauchy kernel provides an integral representation formula for Hermitian submonogenic functions.

Reproducing kernels for polynomial null-solutions of Dirac operators

It is well-known that the reproducing kernel of the space of spherical harmonics of fixed homogeneity is given by a Gegenbauer polynomial. By going over to complex variables and restricting to suitable bihomogeneous subspaces, one obtains a reproducing kernel expressed as a Jacobi polynomial, which leads to Koornwinder's celebrated result on the addition formula. In the present paper, the space of Hermitian monogenics, which is the space of polynomial bihomogeneous null-solutions of a set of two complex conjugated Dirac operators, is considered. The reproducing kernel for this space is obtained and expressed in terms of sums of Jacobi polynomials. This is achieved through use of the underlying Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{sl}(1|2)$, combined with the equivalence between the $L^2$ inner product on the unit sphere and the Fischer inner product. The latter also leads to a new proof in the standard Dirac case related to the Lie superalgebra $\mathfrak{osp}(1|2)$.

Biaxial monogenic functions from Funk-Hecke's formula combined with Fueter's theorem

Funk-Hecke's formula allows a passage from plane waves to radially invariant functions. It may be adapted to transform axial monogenics into biaxial monogenics that are monogenic functions invariant under the product group SO(p)xSO(q). Fueter's theorem transforms holomorphic functions in the plane into axial monogenics, so that by combining both results, we obtain a method to construct biaxial monogenics from holomorphic functions.

Generating functions of orthogonal polynomials in higher dimensions

In this paper two important classes of orthogonal polynomials in higher dimensions using the framework of Clifford analysis are considered, namely the Clifford-Hermite and the Clifford-Gegenbauer polynomials. For both classes an explicit generating function is obtained.

A new integral formula for the inverse Fueter mapping theorem

In this paper we provide an alternative method to construct the Fueter primitive of an axial monogenic function of degree $k$, which is complementary to the one used in [F. Colombo, I. Sabadini and F. Sommen, The inverse Fueter mapping theorem in integral form using spherical monogenics, Israel Journal of Mathematics, 2012]. As a byproduct, we obtain an explicit description of the kernel of the Fueter mapping. We also apply our method to obtain the Fueter primitives of the Cauchy kernels with singularities on the unit sphere.

Special functions and systems in Hermitian Clifford analysis

In this paper we study some new special functions that arise naturally within the framework of Hermitian Clifford analysis, which concerns the study of Dirac-like systems in several complex variables. In particular we focus on Hermite polynomials, Bessel functions and generalized powers. We also derive a Vekua system for solutions of Hermitian systems in axially symmetric domains.
