Super fidelity and related metric

We report a new metric of quantum states. This metric is build up from super-fidelity, which has deep connection with the Uhlmann-Jozsa fidelity and plays an important role in quantifying entanglement. We find that the new metric possess some interesting properties.

Fidelity induced distance measures for quantum states

Fidelity plays an important role in quantum information theory. In this letter, we introduce new metric of quantum states induced by fidelity, and connect it with the well-known trace metric, Sine metric and Bures metric for the qubit case. The metric character is also presented for the qudit (i.e., $d$-dimensional system) case. The CPT contractive property and joint convex property of the metric are also studied.

Dynamical symmetries of the Klein-Gordon equation

The dynamical symmetries of the two-dimensional Klein-Gordon equations with equal scalar and vector potentials (ESVP) are studied. The dynamical symmetries are considered in the plane and the sphere respectively. The generators of the SO(3) group corresponding to the Coulomb potential, and the SU(2) group corresponding to the harmonic oscillator potential are derived. Moreover, the generators in the sphere construct the Higgs algebra. With the help of the Casimir operators, the energy levels of the Klein-Gordon systems are yielded naturally.

Metrics Of Quantum States

In this paper, we study metrics of quantum states. These metrics are natural generalization of trace metric and Bures metric. We will prove that the metrics are joint convex and contractive under quantum operation. Our results can find important application in studying the geometry of quantum states and is useful to detect entanglement.

Geometric interpretation for A-fidelity and its relation with Bures fidelity

A geometric interpretation for the A-fidelity between two states of a qubit system is presented, which leads to an upper bound of the Bures fidelity. The metrics defined based on the A-fidelity are studied by numerical method. An alternative generalization of the A-fidelity, which has the same geometric picture, to a $N$-state quantum system is also discussed.

Dynamical symmetries of two-dimensional systems in relativistic quantum mechanics

The two-dimensional Dirac Hamiltonian with equal scalar and vector potentials has been proved commuting with the deformed orbital angular momentum $L$. When the potential takes the Coulomb form, the system has an SO(3) symmetry, and similarly the harmonic oscillator potential possesses an SU(2) symmetry. The generators of the symmetric groups are derived for these two systems separately. The corresponding energy spectra are yielded naturally from the Casimir operators. Their non-relativistic limits are also discussed.

Dynamical symmetry of Dirac hydrogen atom with spin symmetry and its connection with Ginocchio's oscillator

The Dirac hydrogen atom with spin symmetry is shown has a SO(4) symmetry. The generators are derived, and the corresponding Casimir operator leads to the energy spectrum naturally. This type hydrogen atom is connected to a four-dimensional Dirac system with equal scalar and vector harmonic oscillator potential, by the Kustaanheimo-Stiefel transformation with a constraint.

Non-standard Schwinger fermionic representation of unitary group

The non-standard Schwinger fermionic representation of the unitary group is studied by using $n$-fermion operators. One finds that the Schwinger fermionic representation of the U(n) group is not unique when $n\ge 3$. In general, based on $n$-fermion operators, the non-standard Schwinger fermionic representation of the U(n) group can be established in a uniform approach, where all the generators commute with the total number operators. The Schwinger fermionic representation of $U(C^{m}_{n})$ group is also discussed.
