QDSP: An Interpretable Structured Learning Framework for Predicting Death or Cerebral Palsy in Very Low Birth Weight Infants

Very low birth weight infants (VLBWI) are at high risk of mortality and severe neurodevelopmental impairment, including cerebral palsy, yet reliable discharge-time prognostic stratification remains challenging in high-dimensional and data-limited clinical settings. To address this problem, we propose QDSP, an interpretable structured learning framework that integrates Quota-guided Subspace Sampling (QSS) and Differentiable-decision-guided Structure Perception (DSP). The QSS module constructs stability-aware and low-redundancy feature subspaces through bootstrap-based feature consistency estimation, whereas the DSP module employs differentiable soft oblique decision structures to model nonlinear clinical interactions while preserving traceable decision evidence. The proposed framework was evaluated on a real-world VLBWI cohort comprising 51 infants and further validated on three public medical tabular datasets. On the primary cohort, QDSP achieved an accuracy of 0.9200 and an AUC of 0.9714, outperforming representative machine learning and deep tabular learning baselines, including XGBoost, TabNet, and TabPFN. Across external datasets, QDSP maintained competitive discrimination and calibration under varying sample sizes and clinical distributions. In addition, SHAP-based analyses and differentiable decision-path tracing identified clinically relevant predictors, including cystic periventricular leukomalacia (cPVL) and birth weight, consistent with established neonatal pathophysiological evidence. These results suggest that QDSP provides an interpretable and robust framework for discharge-time risk stratification in VLBWI and may support early individualized clinical decision-making in neonatal intensive care settings.

SpectralMamba-UNet: Frequency-Disentangled State Space Modeling for Texture-Structure Consistent Medical Image Segmentation

Accurate medical image segmentation requires effective modeling of both global anatomical structures and fine-grained boundary details. Recent state space models (e.g., Vision Mamba) offer efficient long-range dependency modeling. However, their one-dimensional serialization weakens local spatial continuity and high-frequency representation. To this end, we propose SpectralMamba-UNet, a novel frequency-disentangled framework to decouple the learning of structural and textural information in the spectral domain. Our Spectral Decomposition and Modeling (SDM) module applies discrete cosine transform to decompose low- and high-frequency features, where low frequency contributes to global contextual modeling via a frequency-domain Mamba and high frequency preserves boundary-sensitive details. To balance spectral contributions, we introduce a Spectral Channel Reweighting (SCR) mechanism to form channel-wise frequency-aware attention, and a Spectral-Guided Fusion (SGF) module to achieve adaptively multi-scale fusion in the decoder. Experiments on five public benchmarks demonstrate consistent improvements across diverse modalities and segmentation targets, validating the effectiveness and generalizability of our approach.

FlameGS: Reconstruct flame light field via Gaussian Splatting

To address the time-consuming and computationally intensive issues of traditional ART algorithms for flame combustion diagnosis, inspired by flame simulation technology, we propose a novel representation method for flames. By modeling the luminous process of flames and utilizing 2D projection images for supervision, our experimental validation shows that this model achieves an average structural similarity index of 0.96 between actual images and predicted 2D projections, along with a Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 39.05. Additionally, it saves approximately 34 times the computation time and about 10 times the memory compared to traditional algorithms.

3-form Yang-Mills based on 2-crossed modules

In this paper, we study the higher Yang-Mills theory in the framework of higher gauge theory. It was shown that the 2-form electromagnetism can be generalized to the 2-form Yang-Mills theory with the group $U(1)$ replaced by a crossed module of Lie groups. To extend this theory to even higher structure, we develop a 3-form Yang-Mills theory with a 2-crossed module of Lie groups. First, we give an explicit construction of non-degenerate symmetric $G$-invariant forms on the 2-crossed module of Lie algebras. Then, we derive the 3-Bianchi-Identities for 3-curvatures. Finally, we create a 3-form Yang-Mills action and obtain the corresponding field equations.
