Characterization of Curvature positivity of Riemannian metrics on flat vector bundles

We give a characterization of Nakano positivity of Riemannian flat vector bundles over bounded domains $D\subset\mathbb{R}^n$ in terms of solvability of the $d$ equation with certain good $L^2$ estimate condition. As an application, we give an alternative proof of the matrix-valued Prekopa's theorem that is originally proved by Raufi. Our methods are inspired by the recent works of Deng-Ning-Wang-Zhou on characterization of Nakano positivity of Hermitian holomorphic vector bundles and positivity of direct image sheaves associated to holomorphic fibrations.

Positivity of holomorphic vector bundles in terms of $L^p$-conditions of $\bar\partial$

We study the positivity properties of Hermitian (or even Finsler) holomorphic vector bundles in terms of $L^p$-estimates of $\bar\partial$ and $L^p$-extensions of holomorphic objects. To this end, we introduce four conditions, called the optimal $L^p$-estimate condition, the multiple coarse $L^p$-estimate condition, the optimal $L^p$-extension condition, and the multiple coarse $L^p$-extension condition, for a Hermitian (or Finsler) vector bundle $(E,h)$. The main result of the present paper is to give a characterization of the Nakano positivity of $(E,h)$ via the optimal $L^2$-estimate condition. We also show that $(E,h)$ is Griffiths positive if it satisfies the multiple coarse $L^p$-estimate condition for some $p>1$, the optimal $L^p$-extension condition, or the multiple coarse $L^p$-extension condition for some $p>0$. These results can be roughly viewed as converses of Hörmander's $L^2$-estimate of $\bar\partial$ and Ohsawa-Takegoshi type extension theorems. As an application of the main result, we get a totally different method to Nakano positivity of direct image sheaves of twisted relative canonical bundles associated to holomorphic families of complex manifolds.

Hamiltonian Carleman approximation and the density property for coadjoint orbits

For a complex Lie group $G$ with a real form $G_0\subset G$, we prove that any Hamiltionian automorphism $ϕ$ of a coadjoint orbit $\mathcal O_0$ of $G_0$ whose connected components are simply connected, may be approximated by holomorphic $\mathcal O_0$-invariant symplectic automorphism of the corresponding coadjoint orbit of $G$ in the sense of Carleman, provided that $\mathcal O$ is closed. In the course of the proof, we establish the Hamiltonian density property for closed coadjoint orbits of all complex Lie groups.

Linear invariants of complex manifolds and their plurisubharmonic variations

For a bounded domain $D$ and a real number $p>0$, we denote by $A^p(D)$ the space of $L^p$ integrable holomorphic functions on $D$, equipped with the $L^p$- pseudonorm. We prove that two bounded hyperconvex domains $D_1\subset \mc^n$ and $D_2\subset \mc^m$ are biholomorphic (in particular $n=m$) if there is a linear isometry between $A^p(D_1)$ and $A^p(D_2)$ for some $0 2, p\neq 2,4,\cdots$, provided that the $p$-Bergman kernels on $D_1$ and $D_2$ are exhaustive. With this as a motivation, we show that, for all $p>0$, the $p$-Bergman kernel on a strongly pseudoconvex domain with $\mathcal C^2$ boundary or a simply connected homogeneous regular domain is exhaustive. These results shows that spaces of pluricanonical sections of complex manifolds equipped with canonical pseudonorms are important invariants of complex manifolds. The second part of the present work devotes to studying variations of these invariants. We show that the direct image sheaf of the twisted relative $m$-pluricanonical bundle associated to a holomorphic family of Stein manifolds or compact Kähler manifolds is positively curved, with respect to the canonical singular Finsler metric.

Fridman's invariant, squeezing functions, and exhausting domains

We show that if a bounded domain $Ω$ is exhausted by a bounded strictly pseudoconvex domain $D$ with $C^2$ boundary, then $Ω$ is holomorphically equivalent to $D$ or the unit ball, and show that a bounded domain has to be holomorphically equivalent to the unit ball if its Fridman's invariant has certain growth condition near the boundary.

New characterizations of plurisubharmonic functions and positivity of direct image sheaves

We give new characterizations of plurisubharmonic functions and Griffiths positivity of holomorphic vector bundles with singular Finsler metrics. As applications, we present a different method to prove plurisubharmonic variation of generalized Bergman kernel metrics and Griffiths positivity of the direct images of twisted relative canonical bundles associated to holomorphic families of Kähler manifolds.

Flat bundles over some compact complex manifolds

We construct examples of flat fiber bundles over the Hopf surface such that the total spaces have no pseudoconvex neighborhood basis, admit a complete Kähler metric, or are hyperconvex but have no nonconstant holomorphic functions. For any compact Riemannian surface of positive genus, we construct a flat $\mathbb P^1$ bundle over it and a Stein domain with real analytic bundary in it whose closure does not have pseudoconvex neighborhood basis. For a compact complex manifold with positive first Betti number, we construct a flat disc bundle over it such that the total space is hyperconvex but admits no nonconstant holomorphic functions.

On biholomorphisms between bounded quasi-Reinhardt domains

In this paper, we define what is called a quasi-Reinhardt domain and study biholomorphisms between such domains. We show that all biholomorphisms between two bounded quasi-Reinhardt domains fixing the origin are polynomial mappings, and we give a uniform upper bound for the degree of such polynomial mappings. In particular, we generalize the classical Cartan's linearity theorem for circular domains to quasi-Reinhardt domains.

Exposing boundary points of strongly pseudoconvex subvarieties in complex spaces

We prove that all locally exposable points in a Stein compact in a complex space can be exposed along a given curve to a given real hypersurface. Moreover, the exposing map for a boundary point can be sufficiently close to the identity map outside any fixed neighborhood of the point. We also prove a parametric version of this result for bounded strongly pseudoconvex domains in $\mathbb C^n$. For a bounded strongly pseudoconvex domain in $\mathbb C^n$ and a given boundary point of it, we prove that there is a global coordinate change on the closure of the domain which is arbitrarily close to the identity map with respect to the $C^1$-norm and maps the boundary point to a strongly convex boundary point.

On fermionic representation of the framed topological vertex

The Gromov-Witten invariants of \mathbb{C}^3 with branes is encoded in the topological vertex which has a very complicated combinatorial expression. A simple formula for the topological vertex was proposed by Aganagic et al in the fermionic picture. We will propose a similar formula for the framed topological vertex and prove it in the case when there are one or two branes.

On fermionic representation of the Gromov-Witten invariants of the resolved Conifold

We prove that the fermionic form of the generating function of the Gromov-Witten invariants of the resolved conifold is a Bogoliubov transform of the fermionic vacuum; in particular, it is a tau function of the KP hierarchy. Our proof is based on the gluing rule of the topological vertex and the formulas of the fermionic representations of the framed one-legged and two-legged topological vertex which were conjectured by Aganagic et al and proved in our recent work.

Properties of squeezing functions and geometry of bounded domains

In this article we continue the study of properties of squeezing functions and geometry of bounded domains. The limit of squeezing functions of a sequence of bounded domains is studied. We give comparisons of intrinsic positive forms and metrics on bounded domains in terms of squeezing functions. To study the boundary behavior of squeezing functions, we introduce the notions of (intrinsic) ball pinching radius, and give boundary estimate of squeezing functions in terms of these datum. Finally, we use these results to study geometric and analytic properties of some interesting domains, including planar domains, Cartan-Hartogs domains, and a strongly pseudoconvex Reinhardt domain which is not convex. As a corollary, all Cartan-Hartogs domains are homogenous regular, i.e., their squeezing functions admit positive lower bounds.

Properties of squeezing functions and global transformations of bounded domains

The central purpose of the present paper is to study boundary behavior of squeezing functions on bounded domains. We prove that the squeezing function of a strongly pseudoconvex domain tends to 1 near the boundary. In fact, such an estimate is proved for the squeezing function on any domain near its globally strongly convex boundary points. We also study the stability of squeezing functions on a sequence of bounded domains, and give comparisons of intrinsic measures and metrics on bounded domains in terms of squeezing functions. As applications, we give new and simple proofs of several well known results about geometry of strongly pseudoconvex domains, and prove that all Cartan-Hartogs domains are homogenous regular. Finally, some related problems that ask for further study are proposed.

Fermionic gluing principle of the topological vertex

We will establish the fermionic gluing principle of the topological vertex, that is, provided the framed ADKMV conjecture, the generating functions of the Gromov-Witten invariants of all toric Calabi-Yau threefolds are Bogoliubov transforms of the vacuum.

On Some Properties of Squeezing Functions of Bounded Domains

The main purpose of the present paper is to introduce the notion of squeezing functions of bounded domains and study some properties of them. The relation to geometric and analytic structures of bounded domains will be investigated. Existence of related extremal maps and continuity of squeezing functions are proved. Holomorphic homogeneous regular domains are exactly domains whose squeezing functions have positive lower bounds. Completeness of certain intrinsic metrics and pseudoconvexity of holomorphic homogeneous regular domains are proved by alternative method. In dimension one case, we get a neat description of boundary behavior of squeezing functions of finitely connected planar domains. This leads to a necessary and sufficient conditions for a finitely connected planar domain to be a holomorphic homogeneous regular domain. Consequently, we can recover some important results in complex analysis. For annuli, we obtain some interesting properties of their squeezing functions. We finally exhibit some examples of bounded domains whose squeezing functions can be given explicitly.
