Vector Condensate Model of Electroweak Interactions

Motivated by the fact that the Higgs is not seen, we have proposed a version of the standard model where the scalar doublet is replaced by a vector doublet and its neutral member forms a nonvanishing condensate. Gauge fields are coupled to the new vector fields B in a gauge invariant way leading to mass terms for the gauge fields by condensation. B-particles become massive because of their self interactions. Fermion and gauge field couplings are standard. Low energy charged current phenomenology fixes the condensate. Fermion masses are coming from the condensation and B-particle-fermion couplings. The Kobayashi-Maskawa description is unchanged. The model has a low mementum scale of about 2 TeV. For instance, from tree-graph unitarity at a scale of 1 TeV the minimum mass of a charged B-particle is 369 GeV. Such B-particles are shown to copiously produced at high-energy linear $e^+e^-$ colliders. The model survives the test of oblique radiative corrections. To each momentum scale there exists a range of B masses where the S, T parameters are compatible with the experiment. For instance, at a scale of 1 TeV from the S parameter the minimum mass of a charged (neutral) B is 200-350 GeV (400-550 GeV).

Testing the Vector Condensate Model of Electroweak Interactions at High Energy Hadron Colliders

In the vector condensate model a doublet of vector fields plays the role of the Higgs doublet of standard model and the gauge symmetry is broken dynamically. This results in a theory surviving the test of radiative corrections provided the new charged and neutral vector particles B have masses of at least several hundred GeV's. In this note we show that while at the Tevatron the heavy B-particle production is too low, at LHC the yield is large and, for instance, the inclusive cross section of $B^+ B^-$ pairs is 51.5 (15.3) fb at $\sqrt{s}=14$ TeV, $m_B=400(500)$ GeV.

Unitarity Bounds in the Vector Condensate Model of Electroweak Interactions

We replace the standard model scalar doublet by a doublet of vector fields and generate masses by dynamical symmetry breaking. Oblique radiative corrections are small if the new vector bosons ($ B^+$, $ B^0 $) are heavy. In this note it is shown that the model has a low momentum scale and above $ Λ\simeq 2 $ TeV it does not respect the perturbative unitarity. From tree-graph unitarity the allowed region of $B ^+ (B^0) $ mass is estimated as $m_{B^+} \geq 369 \hbox{GeV} \quad (m_{B^0} \geq 410 $ GeV) at $Λ= 1 $ TeV.

OBLIQUE RADIATIVE CORRECTIONS IN THE VECTOR CONDENSATE MODEL OF ELECTROWEAK INTERACTIONS

Oblique radiative corrections are calculated to the parameter $S$ in a version of the standard model where the Higgs doublet is replaced by a doublet of vector bosons and the gauge symmetry is broken dynamically. We show that to each momentum scale there exists a domain of the masses of charged and neutral vector bosons where $S$ is compatible with the experiments. At a scale of 1 TeV this requires vector boson masses of at least $m_0 \approx $ 400--550 GeV, $ m_+ \approx $ 200--350 GeV.

$ρ$ Parameter in the Vector Condensate Model of Electroweak Interactions

In the standard model of electroweak interactions the Higgs doublet is replaced by a doublet of vector bosons and the gauge symmetry is broken dynamically. This generates masses for the gauge bosons and fermions, as well as it fixes the interactions in the model. The model has a low momentum scale. In this note we show that the model survives the test of the $ ρ$ parameter, and to each momentum scale $ ρ$ chooses a possible range of vector boson masses.
