Entanglement sharing in $E\otimesε$ Jahn-Teller model in the presence of a magnetic field

We discuss the ground state entanglement of the $E\otimesε$ Jahn-Teller model in the presence of a strong transverse magnetic field as a function of the vibronic coupling strength. A complete characterization is given of the phenomenon of entanglement sharing in a system composed by a qubit coupled to two bosonic modes. Using the residual $I$-tangle, we find that three-partite entanglement is significantly present in the system in the parameter region near the bifurcation point of the corresponding classical model.

Scaling behavior in the adiabatic Dicke Model

We analyze the quantum phase transition for a set of $N$-two level systems interacting with a bosonic mode in the adiabatic regime. Through the Born-Oppenheimer approximation, we obtain the finite-size scaling expansion for many physical observables and, in particular, for the entanglement content of the system.

Entanglement of a qubit coupled to a resonator in the adiabatic regime

We discuss the ground state entanglement of a bi-partite system, composed by a qubit strongly interacting with an oscillator mode, as a function of the coupling strenght, the transition frequency and the level asymmetry of the qubit. This is done in the adiabatic regime in which the time evolution of the qubit is much faster than the oscillator one. Within the adiabatic approximation, we obtain a complete characterization of the ground state properties of the system and of its entanglement content.

Nuclear halo and the coherent nuclear interaction

The unusual structure of Li11, the first halo nucleus found, is analyzed by the Preparata model of nuclear structure. By applying Coherent Nucleus Theory, we obtain an interaction potential for the halo-neutrons that rightly reproduces the fundamental state of the system.

A Few Simple Observations on Pion-Condensation in Nuclei

We present a few simple observations on the occurrence of $π$-condensation in Nuclei, aimed at clarifying the nature of the $π$-condensation implied by the coherent nuclear $π$-N-$Δ$ interaction, proposed in 1990 to explain the puzzling emergence of the Shell-Model. We show that such condensation is totally unrelated to the one proposed by A. B. Migdal at the beginning of '70, which can easily be shown not to occur at the normal nucleon density $ρ_{N}\simeq$ 0.17 fm${}^{-3}$.

Truncated-cone SPM tips for surface-molecules interaction studies

A new tecnique for the production of special shaped SPM tips is reported. Noble metal coated tips are produced with flat and circular tip front. The unusual truncated-cone tip shape is obtained by modifying commercial tips. The diameter of the tip front flat area can be varied continuously in the range 0.05 - 1 micrometer.

Coherent QED, Giant Resonances and $(e^{+}e^{-})$ Pairs in High Energy Nucleus-Nucleus Collisions

We show that the coherent oscillations of the e.m. field induced by the collective quantum fluctuations of the nuclear matter field associated with the giant resonances, with frequencies $ω_{A}\simeq 78A^{-{1/3}}$ MeV, give rise to a significant $(e^+e^-)$ pair production in high energy Heavy Ion collisions. The approximate parameterless calculation of such yield is in good agreement with recent experimental observations.
