Spectrum generating algebra for the continuous spectrum of a free particle in Lobachevski space

In this paper, we construct a Spectrum Generating Algebra (SGA) for a quantum system with purely continuous spectrum: the quantum free particle in a Lobachevski space with constant negative curvature. The SGA contains the geometrical symmetry algebra of the system plus a subalgebra of operators that give the spectrum of the system and connects the eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian among themselves. In our case, the geometrical symmetry algebra is $\frak{so}(3,1)$ and the SGA is $\frak{so}(4,2)$. We start with a representation of $\frak{so}(4,2)$ by functions on a realization of the Lobachevski space given by a two sheeted hyperboloid, where the Lie algebra commutators are the usual Poisson-Dirac brackets. Then, introduce a quantized version of the representation in which functions are replaced by operators on a Hilbert space and Poisson-Dirac brackets by commutators. Eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian are given and "naive" ladder operators are identified. The previously defined "naive" ladder operators shift the eigenvalues by a complex number so that an alternative approach is necessary. This is obtained by a non self-adjoint function of a linear combination of the ladder operators which gives the correct relation among the eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian. We give an eigenfunction expansion of functions over the upper sheet of two sheeted hyperboloid in terms of the eigenfunctions of the Hamiltonian.

Classical and quantum integrability in 3D systems

In this contribution, we discuss three situations in which complete integrability of a three dimensional classical system and its quantum version can be achieved under some conditions. The former is a system with axial symmetry. In the second, we discuss a three dimensional system without spatial symmetry which admits separation of variables if we use ellipsoidal coordinates. In both cases, and as a condition for integrability, certain conditions arise in the integrals of motion. Finally, we study integrability in the three dimensional sphere and a particular case associated with the Kepler problem in $S^3$.

Possible nature of $Z^+(4430)$

We discuss exotic states X(3872) and $Z^+(4430)$, observed recently in experiment Belle. The QCD-string based explanation is suggested.

Classical and quantum three-dimensional integrable systems with axial symmetry

We study the most general form of a three dimensional classical integrable system with axial symmetry and invariant under the axis reflection. We assume that the three constants of motion are the Hamiltonian, $H$, with the standard form of a kinetic part plus a potential dependent on the position only, the $z$-component of the angular momentum, $L$, and a Hamiltonian-like constant, $\widetilde H$, for which the kinetic part is quadratic in the momenta. We find the explicit form of these potentials compatible with complete integrability. The classical equations of motion, written in terms of two arbitrary potential functions, is separated in oblate spheroidal coordinates. The quantization of such systems leads to a set of two differential equations that can be presented in the form of spheroidal wave equations.

The Friedrichs-Model with fermion-boson couplings II

In this work we present a formal solution of the extended version of the Friedrichs Model. The Hamiltonian consists of discrete and continuum bosonic states, which are coupled to fermions. The simultaneous treatment of the couplings of the fermions with the discrete and continuous sectors of the bosonic degrees of freedom leads to a system of coupled equations, whose solutions are found by applying standard methods of representation of bound and resonant states.

Baxters's Q-operators for the simplest q-deformed model

In the present paper we describe the procedure of the Q-operators construction for the q-deformed model, described by the Lax operator, which is important to formulate the Bethe ansatz for the Sin-Gordon model. This Lax operator can also be considered as some massless limit of the Lax operator of SG model. We constructed two R-operators which are the universal intertwiners for the Lax operators. The traces of its monodromies over the auxiliary space are Baxter operators i.e. the operator solutions of T-Q equation. We also found the intertwining relations which imply the mutual commutativity of the corresponding Q-operators.

Baxter Q-operators for integrable DST chain

Following the procedure, described in the paper nlin.SI/0003002, for the integrable DST chain we construct Baxter Q-operators as the traces of monodromy of some M-operators, that act in quantum and auxiliary spaces. Within this procedure we obtain two basic M-operators and derive some functional relations between them such as intertwining relations and wronskian-type relations between two basic Q-operators.

On the Hamiltonian Description of Fluid Mechanics

We suggest the Hamiltonian approach for fluid mechanics based on the dynamics, formulated in terms of Lagrangian variables. The construction of the canonical variables of the fluid sheds a light of the origin of Clebsh variables, introduced in the previous century. The developed formalism permits to relate the circulation conservation (Tompson theorem) with the invariance of the theory with respect to special diffiomorphisms and establish also the new conservation laws. We discuss also the difference of the Eulerian and Lagrangian description, pointing out the incompleteness of the first. The constructed formalism is also applicable for ideal plasma. We conclude with several remarks on the quantization of the fluid.

On Baxter Q-operators for Toda Chain

We suggest the procedure of the construction of Baxter Q-operators for Toda chain . Apart from the one-paramitric family of Q-operators, considered in our recent paper (hep-th/9908179) we also give the construction of two basic Q-operators and the derivation of the functional relations for these operators. Also we have found the relation of the basic Q-operators with Bloch solutions of the quantum linear problem.

On The Baxter's Q - Operator for the XXX Spin Chain

We discuss the construction of Baxter's Q-operator. The suggested approach leads to the one-parametric family of Q-operators, satisfying to the wronslian-type relations. Also we have found the generalization of Baxter operators, with defines the nondiagonal part of the monodromy.

Bethe Equations "on the Wrong Side of Equator"

We analyse the famous Baxter's $T-Q$ equations for $XXX$ ($XXZ$) spin chain and show that apart from its usual polynomial (trigonometric) solution, which provides the solution of Bethe-Ansatz equations, there exists also the second solution which should corresponds to Bethe-Ansatz beyond $N/2$. This second solution of Baxter's equation plays essential role and together with the first one gives rise to all fusion relations.
