Beyond DGLAP improved saturation model

We present a modification of the DGLAP improved saturation model with respect to the nonlinear correction (NLC). The GLR-MQ improved saturation model is considered by employing the parametrization of proton structure function due to the Laplace transforms method, which preserves its behavior success in the low and high $Q^{2}$ regions. We show that the geometric scaling holds for the GLR-MQ improved model in a wide kinematic region $rQ_{s}$. These results are comparable with other models in a wide kinematic region $rQ_{s}$. The behavior of the dipole cross sections, with respect to the GLR-MQ improved saturation model, are comparable with the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) model. The model describes the dipole cross sections in the inclusive and diffractive processes. We also compare the nonlinear corrections to the impact-parameter dependent saturation (IP-Sat) model with the impact-parameter dependent color glass condensate (b-CGC) dipole model. Finally, we consider the linear and nonlinear corrections to the IP Non-Sat model. These results provide a benchmark for further investigation of QCD at small $x$ in future experiments such as the Large Hadron Collider and Future Circular Collider projects.

Collinear approach for top quark production at ep colliders

An approximately analysis study of the collinear approach for $t\overline{t}$ production at the Future Circular Collider hadron-electron (FCC-he) and the Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) is performed. To study heavy quark production processes, the collinear generalized double asymptotic scaling (DAS) approach in a wide rang of $Q^{2}$ is used. The reduced cross sections for top quark pair production at the FCC-he (for $Q^{2}{\geq}m^{2}_{t}$) and LHeC (for $Q^{2}{\leq}m^{2}_{t}$) center-of-mass energies at the high inelasticity are derived. These results may be considering for both the future collider experiments at center-of-mass energy frontier and the improvement of the phenomenological models on kinematics of low values of the Bjorken variable $x$. The evolution of the gluon density for heavy-quark production in DIS is obtained at low $x$ to include effects of heavy-quark masses. A nonlinear modification of these results shown that the nonlinear corrections, with respect to the top quark mass, are very small for $Q^{2}{\propto}m^{2}_{t}$.

Color dipole cross section in the DGLAP improved saturation model

We show that the geometric scaling of the dipole cross section can be explained using standard DGLAP perturbative evolution. The DGLAP improved saturation model due to the Laplace transforms method is considered at LO and NNLO approximations from the experimental data by relying on a Froissart-bounded parametrization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$. These results are comparable with Golec-Biernat-W$\ddot{\mathrm{u}}$sthoff (GBW) model in a wide kinematic region $rQ_{s}$ which takes into account charm mass. The successful description of $σ_{\mathrm{dip}}(x,r)/σ_{0}$ and $σ_{\mathrm{dip}}(rQ_{s})/σ_{0}$ are presented.

Geometrical scaling of heavy-quark contributions in the low $x$ region

We describe the determination of the heavy quarks structure functions $F_{2,L}^{\mathcal{Q}\bar{\mathcal{Q}}}$ with help of the scaling properties. We observe that the structure functions for inclusive charm and bottom production exhibits geometric scaling at low $x$. The geometrical scaling means that the heavy quark structure function is a function of only one dimensionless variable $τ{\equiv}Q^{2}/Q^{2}_{sat}(x)$ including quark mass. These results are valid for any value of $δ$, being $x^{-δ}$ the behavior of the parton densities at low $x$. The determination of the heavy quark structure function is presented as a parameterization of the proton structure function $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and its derivative. Analytical expressions for $F_{2,L}^{\mathcal{Q}\bar{\mathcal{Q}}}$ in terms of the effective parameters of the parameterization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ ,with respect to the BDH and ASW models, are presented. To study the heavy quark production processes, we use the collinear results in DAS approach. Numerical calculations and comparison with HERA data demonstrate that the suggested method provides reliable $F_{2}^{\mathcal{Q}\bar{\mathcal{Q}}}$, $R^{c\bar{c}}$ and $σ^{\mathcal{Q}\bar{\mathcal{Q}}}$ at low $x$ in a wide range of the low absolute four-momentum transfers squared ($4~\mathrm{GeV}^{2}<Q^{2}<2000~\mathrm{GeV}^{2}$). Also, in the HERA kinematic range, the ratio of $F_{2}^{c\bar{c}}/F_{2}^{b\bar{b}}$, $F_{2}^{c\bar{c}}/F_{2}^{BDHM}$ and $F_{2}^{b\bar{b}}/F_{2}^{BDHM}$ are obtained. Expanding the method to low and ultra low values of $x$ can be considered in the process analysis of the LHeC and FCC-eh colliders.

Higher order approximations to the longitudinal structure function $F_{L}$ from the parametrization of $F_{2}$ based on the Laplace transformation

We describe the determination of the longitudinal structure function $F_{L}$ at NLO and NNLO approximations, using Laplace transform techniques, into the parametrization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and its derivative with respect to $\ln{Q^{2}}$ at low values of the Bjorken variable $x$. The obtained results are comparable with others by considering the effect of the charm quark mass to the longitudinal structure function, which leads to rescaling variable for $n_{f}=4$. Numerical calculations and comparison with H1 data demonstrate that the suggested method provides reliable $F_{L}(x,Q^{2})$ at small $x$ in a wide range of $Q^{2}$ values and can be applied as well in analyses of ultra-high energy processes with cosmic neutrinos. The obtained longitudinal structure functions with and without the LHeC simulated uncertainties [CERN-ACC-Note-2020-0002, LHeC Collaboration and FCC-he Study Group, P. Agostini et al., J. Phys. G: Nucl. Part. Phys. {\bf48}, 110501(2021).] are compared with the H1 Collaboration data [Eur.Phys.J.C{\bf74}, 2814(2014) and Eur.Phys.J.C{\bf71}, 1579 (2011)] and with the results from CT18 [Phys.Rev.D{\bf103}, 014013(2021)] parametrization model at NLO and NNLO approximations.

Masses of fully-heavy tetraquark states from a four-quark static potential model

In this article, we study the ground-state mass of full-heavy tetraquarks $cc\bar c\bar c$ and $bb\bar b \bar b$ with solving the nonrelativistic four-body systems. The flux-tube configurations, the tetraquark four-body potential butterfly, and the dimeson potential flip-flop of SU(3) lattice quantum chromodynamics have been applied to describe the tetraquark interaction. Our numerical analysis indicates that the disconnected and connected static potentials can predict the mass of tetraquark very close to experimental data.

A determination of the longitudinal structure function $F_{L}$ from the parametrization of $F_{2}$ based on the Laplace transformation

I calculate the longitudinal structure function, using Laplace transform techniques, from the parametrization of the structure function $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and its derivative at low values of the Bjorken variable $x$. I consider the effect of the charm quark mass to the longitudinal structure function, which leads to rescaling variable for $n_{f}=4$. The results are compared with the H1 collaboration data and the CTEQ-Jefferson Lab (CJ) collaboration [Phys.Rev.D {\bf93}, 114017 (2016)] parametrization model. The obtained results with the Bjorken variable of $x$ are found to be comparable with the results L.P.Kaptari et al. [Phys.Rev.D {\bf99}, 096019 (2019)] which is based on the Mellin transform techniques.

Non-linear corrections to the longitudinal structure function $F_{L}$ from the parametrization of $F_{2}$: Laplace transform approach

The non-linear corrections (NLC) to the longitudinal structure function in a limited approach is derived at low values of the Bjorken variable $x$ by using the Laplace transforms technique. The non-linear behavior of the longitudinal structure function is determined with respect to the Gribov-Levin-Ryskin Mueller-Qiu (GLR-MQ) and Altarelli-Martinelli (AM) equations. These results show that the non-linear longitudinal structure function can be determined directly in terms of the parametrization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and the derivative of the proton structure function with respect to $\ln{Q^{2}}$. These corrections improve the behavior of the longitudinal structure function at low values of $Q^{2}$ in comparison with other parametrization methods.

Analytic derivation of the non-linear gluon distribution function

In the present article, two analytical solutions based on the Laplace transforms method for the linear and non-linear gluon distribution functions have been presented at low values of $x$. These linear and non-linear methods are presented based on the solutions of the Dokshitzer-Gribov- Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution equation and the Gribov-Levin-Ryskin Mueller-Qiu (GLR-MQ) equation at the leading-order accuracy in perturbative QCD respectively. The gluon distributions are obtained directly in terms of the parametrization of structure function $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and its derivative and compared with the results from the parametrization models. The $n_{f}$ changes at the threshold are considered in the numerical results. The effects of the non-linear corrections are visible as $Q^{2}$ decreases and vanish as $Q^{2}$ increases. The nonlinear corrections tame the behavior of the gluon distribution function at low $x$ and $Q^{2}$ in comparison with the parametrization models.

The color dipole model bounds with the gluon-gluon recombination correction

We present nonlinear (NL) and higher twist (HT) corrections to the color dipole model (CDM) bounds at low values of $x$ and $Q^{2}$ using the parameterization method. Consistency between the bounds at this region describe that a transition from the linear to the nonlinear behavior is dependence on the behavior of the gluon distribution function. The parameters in the color dipole model are comparable with the color dipole bounds at low values of $Q^{2}$. Consequently, the obtained reduced cross sections at low and moderate $Q^{2}$ values due to the NL+HT effects show a good agreement with the H1 data.

Effect of the parameterization of the distribution functions on the longitudinal structure function at small $x$

I use a direct method to extract the longitudinal structure function in the next-to-leading order approximation with respect to the number of active flavor from the parametrization of parton distributions. The contribution of charm and bottom quarks corresponding to the gluon distributions (i.e., $G_{n_{f}=3}(x,Q^{2})$ and $G_{n_{f}=5}(x,Q^{2})$) is considered. I compare the obtained longitudinal structure function at $n_{f}=4$ with the H1 data [Eur.Phys.J.C{\bf74}, 2814(2014) and Eur.Phys.J.C{\bf71}, 1579 (2011)] and the result L.P.Kaptari et al.[ Phys.Rev.D{\bf 99}, 096019(2019)] which is based on the Mellin transforms. These calculations compared with the results from CT18 [Phys.Rev.D103, 014013(2021)] parametrization model. The nonlinear effects on the gluon distribution improve the behavior of the longitudinal structure function in comparison with the H1 data and CT18 at low values of $Q^{2}$.

Nonlinear corrections on the parameterization methods

We present non-linear corrections (NLC) to the distribution functions at low values of $x$ and $Q^{2}$ using the parametrization $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and $F_{L}(x,Q^{2})$. We use a direct method to extract non-linear corrections to the ratio of structure functions and the reduced cross section in the next-to-next-to-leading order (NNLO) approximation with respect to the parametrization method (PM). Comparison between the non-linear results with the bounds in color dipole model (CDM) and HERA data indicate the consistency of the non-linear behavior of the gluon distribution function at low-$x$ and low-$Q^{2}$. The non-linear longitudinal structure functions are comparable with the H1 Collaboration data in a wide range of $Q^{2}$ values. Consequently, the non-linear corrections at NNLO approximation to the reduced cross sections at low and moderate $Q^{2}$ values show good agreement with the HERA combined data. These results at low $x$ and low $Q^{2}$ can be applied to the LHeC region for analyses of ultra-high-energy processes.

Physical limits in the Color Dipole Model Bounds

The ratio of the cross sections for the transversely and longitudinally virtual photon polarizations, $σ^{γ^{*}p}_{L/T}$, at high photon-hadron energy scattering is studied. I investigate the relationship between the gluon distribution obtained using the color dipole model and standard gluons obtained from the Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) evolution and the Altarelli-Martinelli equations. It is shown that the color dipole bounds are dependent on the gluon distribution behavior. This behavior is considered by the expansion and Laplace transform methods. Numerical calculations and comparison with the color dipole model (CDM) bounds can indicate the range of validity of this method at small dipole sizes, $r\sim 1/Q{\ll}1/Q_{s}$.

The Large Hadron-Electron Collider at the HL-LHC

The Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) is designed to move the field of deep inelastic scattering (DIS) to the energy and intensity frontier of particle physics. Exploiting energy recovery technology, it collides a novel, intense electron beam with a proton or ion beam from the High Luminosity--Large Hadron Collider (HL-LHC). The accelerator and interaction region are designed for concurrent electron-proton and proton-proton operation. This report represents an update of the Conceptual Design Report (CDR) of the LHeC, published in 2012. It comprises new results on parton structure of the proton and heavier nuclei, QCD dynamics, electroweak and top-quark physics. It is shown how the LHeC will open a new chapter of nuclear particle physics in extending the accessible kinematic range in lepton-nucleus scattering by several orders of magnitude. Due to enhanced luminosity, large energy and the cleanliness of the hadronic final states, the LHeC has a strong Higgs physics programme and its own discovery potential for new physics. Building on the 2012 CDR, the report represents a detailed updated design of the energy recovery electron linac (ERL) including new lattice, magnet, superconducting radio frequency technology and further components. Challenges of energy recovery are described and the lower energy, high current, 3-turn ERL facility, PERLE at Orsay, is presented which uses the LHeC characteristics serving as a development facility for the design and operation of the LHeC. An updated detector design is presented corresponding to the acceptance, resolution and calibration goals which arise from the Higgs and parton density function physics programmes. The paper also presents novel results on the Future Circular Collider in electron-hadron mode, FCC-eh, which utilises the same ERL technology to further extend the reach of DIS to even higher centre-of-mass energies.

An Evaluation of The Proton Structure Functions $F_{2}$ and $F_{L}$ at Small $x$

We describe the determination of the DIS structure functions $F_{2}$ and $F_{L}$ by using the singlet Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-Altarelli-Parisi (DGLAP) and Altarelli-Martinelli equations at small values of $x$. The determination of the longitudinal structure function is presented as a parameterization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and its derivative. Analytical expressions for $σ_{r}(x,Q^{2})$ in terms of the effective parameters of the parameterization of $F_{2}(x,Q^{2})$ and $F_{L}(x,Q^{2})$ are presented. This analysis is enriched by including the higher-twist effects in calculation of the reduced cross sections which is important at low-$x$ and low-$Q^{2}$ regions. Numerical calculations and comparison with H1 data demonstrate that the suggested method provides reliable $F_{L}(x,Q^{2})$ and $σ_{r}(x,Q^{2})$ at low $x$ in a wide range of the low absolute four-momentum transfers squared ($1.5~\mathrm{GeV}^{2}<Q^{2}<120~\mathrm{GeV}^{2}$) at moderate and high inelasticity. Expanding the method to low and ultra low values of $x$ can be considered in the process analysis of new colliders. We compare the obtained longitudinal structure function with respect to the LHeC simulated uncertainties [CERN-ACC-Note-2020-0002, arXiv:2007.14491 [hep-ex] (2020)] with the results from CT18 [Phys.Rev.D{\bf103}, 014013(2021)] parametrization model.

Influence of gluon behavior on heavy-quark pair production

We check the impact of the gluon distribution due to the number of active flavor employed in the calculation of heavy-quark deep-inelastic scattering (DIS) electro-production on the reduced cross section and structure functions determined in the leading order (LO) and next-to-leading order (NLO) quantum chromodynamics (QCD) analysis using the Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator (HERA) combined data. The charm and beauty structure functions are determined and compared with the HERA combined data. The results are in good agreement with respect to the experimental data. We also compare the obtained charm and bottom structure functions with the results from CTEQ6.6 [Phys.Rev.D{\bf78}, 013004(2008)] and NNPDF3.1[Eur.Phys.J.C{\bf77}, 663(2017)] parameterization models. The effect of gluon density on these calculations depends on the number of active flavor at asymptotical values of the momentum transfer $Q^{2}$. Also, in the HERA kinematic range, the ratio of $F_{2}^{c\overline{c}}/F_{2}$ and $F_{2}^{b\overline{b}}/F_{2}$ are obtained. These results and comparison with the HERA combined data demonstrate that the suggested method can be applied in analysis of new colliders.

Importance of the heavy-quarks longitudinal structure function measurements at future circular collider energies

In this article, we consider the ratio of structure functions for heavy quark pair production at low values of $x$. The importance of this ratio for charm and beauty pair production is examined according to the Hadron Electron Ring Accelerator (HERA) data. The behavior of these ratios considers due to the hard-pomeron behavior of the gluon distribution function. The results are in good agreement with respect to the HERA data. Expanding this data to the range of new energies underscore the importance of these measurements for heavy quarks. The ratio of charm and beauty structure functions at the proposed Large Hadron electron Collider (LHeC) is considered as a function of invariant center-of-mass energy. For top pair production this ratio is extracted with known kinematics of the LHeC and Future Circular Collider electron-hadron (FCC-eh) colliders. Comparison of the results obtained for the ratio of top structure functions in LHeC and FCC-eh are proportional to the specified inelasticity $y$ range.

The universal function of the diffractive process in color dipole picture

In this presentation, we obtain the corresponding universal function to the diffractive process and show the cross section exhibits the geometrical scaling. It is observed the diffractive theory according to the color dipole approach at small-$x$ is a convenient framework that reveals the color transparency and the saturation phenomena. Also we calculate the contribution of heavy quark productions in the diffractive cross section for high energy that is determined by the small size dipole configuration. The ratio of the diffractive cross section to the total cross section in the electron-proton collision is the other important quantity that is computed in this work.
