Stress-Aware Learning under KL Drift via Trust-Decayed Mirror Descent

We study sequential decision-making under distribution drift. We propose entropy-regularized trust-decay, which injects stress-aware exponential tilting into both belief updates and mirror-descent decisions. On the simplex, a Fenchel-dual equivalence shows that belief tilt and decision tilt coincide. We formalize robustness via fragility (worst-case excess risk in a KL ball), belief bandwidth (radius sustaining a target excess), and a decision-space Fragility Index (drift tolerated at $O(\sqrt{T})$ regret). We prove high-probability sensitivity bounds and establish dynamic-regret guarantees of $\tilde{O}(\sqrt{T})$ under KL-drift path length $S_T = \sum_{t\ge2}\sqrt{{\rm KL}(D_t|D_{t-1})/2}$. In particular, trust-decay achieves $O(1)$ per-switch regret, while stress-free updates incur $Ω(1)$ tails. A parameter-free hedge adapts the tilt to unknown drift, whereas persistent over-tilting yields an $Ω(λ^2 T)$ stationary penalty. We further obtain calibrated-stress bounds and extensions to second-order updates, bandit feedback, outliers, stress variation, distributed optimization, and plug-in KL-drift estimation. The framework unifies dynamic-regret analysis, distributionally robust objectives, and KL-regularized control within a single stress-adaptive update.

Adaptive and Regime-Aware RL for Portfolio Optimization

This study proposes a regime-aware reinforcement learning framework for long-horizon portfolio optimization. Moving beyond traditional feedforward and GARCH-based models, we design realistic environments where agents dynamically reallocate capital in response to latent macroeconomic regime shifts. Agents receive hybrid observations and are trained using constrained reward functions that incorporate volatility penalties, capital resets, and tail-risk shocks. We benchmark multiple architectures, including PPO, LSTM-based PPO, and Transformer PPO, against classical baselines such as equal-weight and Sharpe-optimized portfolios. Our agents demonstrate robust performance under financial stress. While Transformer PPO achieves the highest risk-adjusted returns, LSTM variants offer a favorable trade-off between interpretability and training cost. The framework promotes regime-adaptive, explainable reinforcement learning for dynamic asset allocation.

Automated Energy Billing with Blockchain and the Prophet Forecasting Model: A Holistic Approach

This paper presents a comprehensive approach to automated energy billing that leverages IoT-based smart meters, blockchain technology, and the Prophet time series forecasting model. The proposed system facilitates real-time power consumption monitoring via Wi-Fi-enabled ESP32 modules and a mobile application interface. It integrates Firebase and blockchain for secure, transparent billing processes and employs smart contracts for automated payments. The Prophet model is used for energy demand forecasting, with careful data preprocessing, transformation, and parameter tuning to improve prediction accuracy. This holistic solution aims to reduce manual errors, enhance user awareness, and promote sustainable energy use.

Leveraging CNN and IoT for Effective E-Waste Management

The increasing proliferation of electronic devices in the modern era has led to a significant surge in electronic waste (e-waste). Improper disposal and insufficient recycling of e-waste pose serious environmental and health risks. This paper proposes an IoT-enabled system combined with a lightweight CNN-based classification pipeline to enhance the identification, categorization, and routing of e-waste materials. By integrating a camera system and a digital weighing scale, the framework automates the classification of electronic items based on visual and weight-based attributes. The system demonstrates how real-time detection of e-waste components such as circuit boards, sensors, and wires can facilitate smart recycling workflows and improve overall waste processing efficiency.
