Analytic Four-Point Lightlike Form Factors and OPE of Null-Wrapped Polygons

We obtain for the first time the analytic two-loop four-point MHV lightlike form factor of the stress-tensor supermultiplet in planar ${\cal N}=4$ SYM where the momentum $q$ carried by the operator is taken to be massless. Remarkably, we find that the two-loop result can be constrained uniquely by the infrared divergences and the collinear limits using the master-bootstrap method. Moreover, the remainder function depends only on three dual conformal invariant variables, which can be understood from a hidden dual conformal symmetry of the form factor arising in the lightlike limit of $q$. The symbol alphabet of the remainder contains only nine letters, which are closed under the action of the dihedral group $D_4$. Based on the dual description in terms of periodic Wilson lines (null-wrapped polygons), we also consider a new OPE picture for the lightlike form factors and introduce a new form factor transition that corresponds to the three-point lightlike form factor. With the form factor results up to two loops, we make some all-loop predictions using the OPE picture.

Gallai-Schur Triples and Related Problems

Schur's Theorem states that, for any $r \in \mathbb{Z}^+$, there exists a minimum integer $S(r)$ such that every $r$-coloring of $\{1,2,\dots,S(r)\}$ admits a monochromatic solution to $x+y=z$. Recently, Budden determined the related Gallai-Schur numbers; that is, he determined the minimum integer $GS(r)$ such that every $r$-coloring of $\{1,2,\dots,GS(r)\}$ admits either a rainbow or monochromatic solution to $x+y=z$. In this article we consider problems that have been solved in the monochromatic setting under a monochromatic-rainbow paradigm. In particular, we investigate Gallai-Schur numbers when $x \neq y$, we consider $x+y+b=z$ and $x+y<z$, and we investigate the asymptotic minimum number of rainbow and monochromatic solutions to $x+y=z$ and $x+y<z$.

Homological theory of representations having pure acyclic injective resolutions

Let $Q$ be a quiver and $R$ an associative ring. A representation by $R$-modules of $Q$ is called strongly fp-injective if it admits a pure acyclic injective resolution in the category of representations. It is shown that such representations possess many nice properties. We characterize strongly fp-injective representations under some mild assumptions, which is closely related to strongly fp-injective $R$-modules. Subsequently, we use such representations to define relative Gorenstein injective representations, called Gorenstein strongly fp-injective representations, and give an explicit characterization of the Gorenstein strongly fp-injective representations of right rooted quivers. As an application, a model structure in the category of representations is given.

YUNet: Improved YOLOv11 Network for Skyline Detection

Skyline detection plays an important role in geolocalizaion, flight control, visual navigation, port security, etc. The appearance of the sky and non-sky areas are variable, because of different weather or illumination environment, which brings challenges to skyline detection. In this research, we proposed the YUNet algorithm, which improved the YOLOv11 architecture to segment the sky region and extract the skyline in complicated and variable circumstances. To improve the ability of multi-scale and large range contextual feature fusion, the YOLOv11 architecture is extended as an UNet-like architecture, consisting of an encoder, neck and decoder submodule. The encoder extracts the multi-scale features from the given images. The neck makes fusion of these multi-scale features. The decoder applies the fused features to complete the prediction rebuilding. To validate the proposed approach, the YUNet was tested on Skyfinder and CH1 datasets for segmentation and skyline detection respectively. Our test shows that the IoU of YUnet segmentation can reach 0.9858, and the average error of YUnet skyline detection is just 1.36 pixels. The implementation is published at https://github.com/kuazhangxiaoai/SkylineDet-YOLOv11Seg.git.

Color-Kinematics Duality and Dual Conformal Symmetry for A Four-loop Form Factor in N=4 SYM

We obtain the full-color four-loop three-point form factor of the stress-tensor supermultiplet in N=4 SYM, based on the color-kinematics (CK) duality and generalized unitarity method. The CK-dual solution, while manifesting all dual Jacobi relations and satisfying the minimal power-counting of loop momenta, lies in a 133-dimensional solution space. We also show that the planar form factor integrand satisfies precisely a directional dual conformal symmetry in the lightlike limit of the operator momentum, which is supported by explicit four-loop calculations.

Probing axion-like particles in leptonic decays of heavy mesons

We study the possibility of finding the axion-like particles (ALPs) through the leptonic decays of heavy mesons. The Standard Model (SM) predictions of the branching ratios of the leptonic decays of heavy mesons are less than the corresponding experimental upper limits. This provides some room for the existence of decay channels, of which the ALP is one of the products. Three scenarios are considered: First, the ALP is only coupled to one single charged fermion, namely, the quark, the antiquark, or the charged lepton; second, the ALP is only coupled to quark and antiquark with the same strength; and third, the ALP is coupled to all the charged fermions with the same strength. The constraints of the coupling strength in different scenarios are obtained by comparing the experimental data of the branching ratios of leptonic decays of $B^-$, $D^+$, and $D_s^+$ mesons with the theoretical predictions achieved by using the Bethe-Salpeter (BS) method. These constraints are further applied to predict the upper limits of the leptonic decay processes of the $B_c^-$ meson in which the ALP participates.

Gluonic evanescent operators: negative-norm states and complex anomalous dimensions

In this paper, we build on our previous work to further investigate the role of evanescent operators in gauge theories, with a particular focus on their contribution to violations of unitarity. We develop an efficient method for calculating the norms of gauge-invariant operators in Yang-Mills (YM) theory by employing on-shell form factors. Our analysis, applicable to general spacetime dimensions, reveals the existence of negative norm states among evanescent operators. We also explore the one-loop anomalous dimensions of these operators and find complex anomalous dimensions. We broaden our analysis by considering YM theory coupled with scalar fields and we observe similar patterns of non-unitarity. The presence of negative norm states and complex anomalous dimensions across these analyses provides compelling evidence that general gauge theories are non-unitary in non-integer spacetime dimensions.

Applying Color-Kinematics Duality in Pure Yang-Mills at Three Loops

We present the first application of color-kinematics (CK) duality at the three-loop level in non-supersymmetric pure Yang-Mills (YM) theory. Building on the minimal deformation approach introduced in \cite{Li:2023akg}, we extend its use to the three-loop Sudakov form factor. Although three classes of unitarity cuts fail under the globally off-shell CK-dual ansatz, a compact and elegant solution is achieved by deforming a single master numerator. The final numerators exhibit Lorentz invariance in $d$ dimensions and take a local form. This method harnesses CK duality's full potential by enforcing a subset of off-shell dual Jacobi identities for the deformation, offering a promising path toward constructing three-loop amplitudes in non-supersymmetric YM theory and gravity through CK duality and double copy.

ManiFoundation Model for General-Purpose Robotic Manipulation of Contact Synthesis with Arbitrary Objects and Robots

To substantially enhance robot intelligence, there is a pressing need to develop a large model that enables general-purpose robots to proficiently undertake a broad spectrum of manipulation tasks, akin to the versatile task-planning ability exhibited by LLMs. The vast diversity in objects, robots, and manipulation tasks presents huge challenges. Our work introduces a comprehensive framework to develop a foundation model for general robotic manipulation that formalizes a manipulation task as contact synthesis. Specifically, our model takes as input object and robot manipulator point clouds, object physical attributes, target motions, and manipulation region masks. It outputs contact points on the object and associated contact forces or post-contact motions for robots to achieve the desired manipulation task. We perform extensive experiments both in the simulation and real-world settings, manipulating articulated rigid objects, rigid objects, and deformable objects that vary in dimensionality, ranging from one-dimensional objects like ropes to two-dimensional objects like cloth and extending to three-dimensional objects such as plasticine. Our model achieves average success rates of around 90\%. Supplementary materials and videos are available on our project website at https://manifoundationmodel.github.io/.

Dual Graph Attention based Disentanglement Multiple Instance Learning for Brain Age Estimation

Deep learning techniques have demonstrated great potential for accurately estimating brain age by analyzing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) data from healthy individuals. However, current methods for brain age estimation often directly utilize whole input images, overlooking two important considerations: 1) the heterogeneous nature of brain aging, where different brain regions may degenerate at different rates, and 2) the existence of age-independent redundancies in brain structure. To overcome these limitations, we propose a Dual Graph Attention based Disentanglement Multi-instance Learning (DGA-DMIL) framework for improving brain age estimation. Specifically, the 3D MRI data, treated as a bag of instances, is fed into a 2D convolutional neural network backbone, to capture the unique aging patterns in MRI. A dual graph attention aggregator is then proposed to learn the backbone features by exploiting the intra- and inter-instance relationships. Furthermore, a disentanglement branch is introduced to separate age-related features from age-independent structural representations to ameliorate the interference of redundant information on age prediction. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed framework, we evaluate it on two datasets, UK Biobank and ADNI, containing a total of 35,388 healthy individuals. Our proposed model demonstrates exceptional accuracy in estimating brain age, achieving a remarkable mean absolute error of 2.12 years in the UK Biobank. The results establish our approach as state-of-the-art compared to other competing brain age estimation models. In addition, the instance contribution scores identify the varied importance of brain areas for aging prediction, which provides deeper insights into the understanding of brain aging.

RIS Empowered Near-Field Covert Communications

This paper studies an extremely large-scale reconfigurable intelligent surface (XL-RIS) empowered covert communication system in the near-field region. Alice covertly transmits messages to Bob with the assistance of the XL-RIS, while evading detection by Willie. To enhance the covert communication performance, we maximize the achievable covert rate by jointly optimizing the hybrid analog and digital beamformers at Alice, as well as the reflection coefficient matrix at the XL-RIS. An alternating optimization algorithm is proposed to solve the joint beamforming design problem. For the hybrid beamformer design, a semi-closed-form solution for fully digital beamformer is first obtained by a weighted minimum mean-square error based algorithm, then the baseband digital and analog beamformers at Alice are designed by approximating the fully digital beamformer via manifold optimization. For the XL-RIS's reflection coefficient matrix design, a low-complexity alternating direction method of multipliers based algorithm is proposed to address the challenge of large-scale variables and unit-modulus constraints. Numerical results unveil that i) the near-field communications can achieve a higher covert rate than the far-field covert communications in general, and still realize covert transmission even if Willie is located at the same direction as Bob and closer to the XL-RIS; ii) the proposed algorithm can enhance the covert rate significantly compared to the benchmark schemes; iii) the proposed algorithm leads to a beam diffraction pattern that can bypass Willie and achieve high-rate covert transmission to Bob.

Triply charm and bottom tetraquarks in a constituent quark model

Singly, doubly and fully charmed tetraquark candidates, \emph{e.g.}, $T_{c\bar{s}}(2900)$, $T^+_{cc}(3875)$ and $X(6900)$ have been recently reported by the LHCb collaboration. Therefore, it is timely to implement a theoretical investigation on triply heavy tetraquark systems; herein, the S-wave triply charm and bottom tetraquarks, $\bar{Q}Q\bar{q}Q$ $(q=u,\,d,\,s;\,Q=c,\,b)$, with spin-parity $J^P=0^+$, $1^+$ and $2^+$, isospin $I=0$ and $\frac{1}{2}$, are systematically studied in a constituent quark model. Besides, all tetraquark configurations, \emph{i.e.} meson-meson, diquark-antidiquark and K-type arrangements, along with any allowed color structure, are comprehensively considered. The Gaussian expansion method (GEM), in combination with the complex-scaling method (CSM), which is quite ingenious in dealing with either bound or resonances, is the approach adopted in solving the complex scaled Schrödinger equation. This theoretical framework has already been applied in various tetra- and penta-quark systems. In a fully coupled-channel calculation within the GEM$+$CSM, narrow resonances are found in each $I(J^P)$ channel of the charm and bottom sector. In particular, triply charm and bottom tetraquark resonances are obtained in $5.6-5.9$ GeV and $15.3-15.7$ GeV, respectively. We provide also some insights of the compositeness of these exotic states, such as the inner quark distance, magnetic moment and dominant wave function component. All this may help to distinguish them in future high energy nuclear and particle experiments.

Is Yang-Mills Theory Unitary in Fractional Spacetime Dimensions?

We present concrete evidence that Yang-Mills theory exhibits non-unitarity in non-integer spacetime dimensions. This violation of unitarity stems from evanescent operators that, while vanishing in four dimensions, are non-zero in general d dimensions. We demonstrate that these evanescent operators lead to the emergence of both negative-norm states and complex anomalous dimensions.

Low-Complexity Joint Azimuth-Range-Velocity Estimation for Integrated Sensing and Communication with OFDM Waveform

Integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) is a main application scenario of the sixth-generation mobile communication systems. Due to the fast-growing number of antennas and subcarriers in cellular systems, the computational complexity of joint azimuth-range-velocity estimation (JARVE) in ISAC systems is extremely high. This paper studies the JARVE problem for a monostatic ISAC system with orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) waveform, in which a base station receives the echos of its transmitted cellular OFDM signals to sense multiple targets. The Cramer-Rao bounds are first derived for JARVE. A low-complexity algorithm is further designed for super-resolution JARVE, which utilizes the proposed iterative subspace update scheme and Levenberg-Marquardt optimization method to replace the exhaustive search of spatial spectrum in multiple-signal-classification (MUSIC) algorithm. Finally, with the practical parameters of 5G New Radio, simulation results verify that the proposed algorithm can reduce the computational complexity by three orders of magnitude and two orders of magnitude compared to the existing three-dimensional MUSIC algorithm and estimation-of-signal-parameters-using-rotational-invariance-techniques (ESPRIT) algorithm, respectively, and also improve the estimation performance.

A high-precision result for a full-color three-loop three-point form factor in ${\cal N}=4$ SYM

We perform a high-precision computation of the three-loop three-point form factor of the stress-tensor supermultiplet in ${\cal N}=4$ SYM. Both the leading-color and non-leading-color form factors are expanded in terms of simple integrals. We compute the complete set of integrals at a special kinematic point with very high precision using $\mathtt{AMFlow}$. The high-precision leading-color result enables us to obtain the analytic form of a numerical constant in the three-loop BDS ansatz, which is previously known only numerically. The high-precision values of the non-leading-color finite remainder as well as all integrals are also presented, which can be valuable for future use.

Color-Kinematics Duality with Minimal Deformation: Two-Loop Four-Gluon Amplitudes in Pure Yang-Mills Revisited

The conjectured duality between color and kinematics has significantly advanced our understanding of both gauge and gravitational theories. However, constructing numerators that manifest the color-kinematics (CK) duality, even for the two-loop four-gluon amplitude in pure Yang-Mills, has been challenging. In this paper, we revisit this amplitude and show that the difficulty of applying CK duality can be overcome by introducing a simple deformation. Our approach distinguishes itself from previous studies by maximizing the use of off-shell CK duality while maintaining a compact ansatz. In particular, the deformation we introduce satisfies a subset of off-shell dual Jacobi relations. The resulting numerators are presented in $d$-dimensionally Lorentz invariant local form and are applicable to all helicities of external gluons. The solution we provide can be directly employed to construct the corresponding gravitational amplitude through double copy. Our findings suggest a novel and efficient strategy for constructing high-loop gauge and gravitational amplitudes using CK duality.

Double copy for tree-level form factors. Part I. Foundations

The double-copy construction for form factors was reported in our previous work, in which a novel mechanism of turning spurious poles in Yang-Mills theory into physical poles in gravity is observed. This paper is the first of a series of two papers providing the details as well as various generalizations on the double-copy construction of tree-level form factors. In this paper, we establish the generic formalism by focusing on the form factor of ${\rm tr}(ϕ^2)$ in the Yang-Mills-scalar theory. A thorough discussion is given on the emergence of the "spurious"-type poles and various related properties. We also discuss two generalizations: the Higgs amplitudes in QCD, and the ${\rm tr}(ϕ^2)$ form factors with multiple external scalar states.

Double copy for tree-level form factors. Part II. Generalizations and special topics

Both the Bern, Carrasco and Johansson (BCJ) and the Kawai, Lewellen and Tye (KLT) double-copy formalisms have been recently generalized to a class of scattering matrix elements (so-called form factors) that involve local gauge-invariant operators. In this paper we continue the study of double copy for form factors. First, we generalize the double-copy prescription to form factors of higher-length operators ${\rm tr}(ϕ^m)$ with $m\geq3$. These higher-length operators introduce new non-trivial color identities, but the double-copy prescription works perfectly well. The closed formulae for the CK-dual numerators are also provided. Next, we discuss the $\vec{v}$ vectors which are central ingredients appearing in the factorization relations of both the KLT kernels and the gauge form factors. We present a general construction rule for the $\vec{v}$ vectors and discuss their universal properties. Finally, we consider the double copy for the form factor of the ${\rm tr}(F^2)$ operator in pure Yang-Mills theory. In this case, we propose a new prescription that involves a gauge invariant decomposition for the form factor and a combination of different CK-dual numerators appearing in the expansion.
