Determination of $m_c$ and $m_b$ from quarkonium 1S energy levels in perturbative QCD

We update determination of the $\overline{\rm MS}$ masses of the charm and bottom quarks, from comparisons of the masses of the charmonium and bottomonium $1S$ states with their perturbative predictions up to next-to-next-to-next-to-leading order in $\varepsilon$ expansion and using the $\overline{\rm MS}$ masses. Effects of non-zero charm-quark mass in the bottomonium masses are incorporated up to next-to-next-to-leading order. We obtain $\overline m_c=1246\pm 2 (d_3) \pm 4 (α_s) \pm 23 (\text{h.o.} )~{\rm MeV} $ and $\overline m_b=4197\pm 2 (d_3) \pm 6 (α_s) \pm 20 (\text{h.o.} )\pm 5 (m_c)~ {\rm MeV} $, which agree with the current Particle Data Group values.

On enhanced corrections from quasi-degenerate states to heavy quarkonium observables

It is well known that in perturbation theory existence of quasi-degenerate states can rearrange the order counting. For a heavy quarkonium system, naively, enhanced effects ($l$-changing mixing effects) could contribute already to the first-order and third-order corrections to the wave function and the energy level, respectively, in expansion in $α_s$. We present a formulation and note that the corresponding (lowest-order) corrections vanish due to absence of the relevant off-diagonal matrix elements. As a result, in the quarkonium energy level and leptonic decay width, the enhanced effects are expected to appear, respectively, in the fifth- and fourth-order corrections and beyond.

Diquark bound states with a completely crossed ladder truncation

The Bethe-Salpeter equation in the diquark channel is investigated by employing the Dyson-Schwinger method together with the Munczek-Nemirovsky model. The novelty of our study is a resummation of completely crossed ladder diagrams in the Bethe-Salpeter kernel. These diagrams are enhanced due to their color factors in the diquark channel, but not in the meson channel. In our analysis, diquark bound-state solutions exist in the Bethe-Salpeter equation.

Bound State Effect on the Electron g-2

We evaluate a non-perturbative QED contribution to the electron g-2 which comes from virtual positronium. We find it to be 9.0*10^{-14}. This value is comparable to the five-loop contribution of usual perturbative calculation, and several times larger than the electroweak correction.

Constraints on Hidden Photon Models from Electron g-2 and Hydrogen Spectroscopy

The hidden photon model is one of the simplest models which can explain the anomaly of the muon anomalous magnetic moment (g-2). The experimental constraints are studied in detail, which come from the electron g-2 and the hydrogen transition frequencies. The input parameters are set carefully in order to take dark photon contributions into account and to prevent the analysis from being self-inconsistent. It is shown that the new analysis provides a constraint severer by more than one order of magnitude than the previous result.
