Poisson type conformastat spherically symmetric anisotropic fluid spacetimes

We construct conformastat spherically symmetric spacetimes representing anisotropic fluid matter distributions from given solutions of the Poisson's equation of Newtonian gravity and its corresponding circular speed profile. As simple examples, we present three families of spherically symmetric spacetimes which we apply in constructing new models of relativistic anisotropic thick spherical shells, and of relativistic galaxy models composite by a central spherical bulge, the thick disk and the dark matter halo, writing in this case the metric in cylindrical coordinates. Moreover, the geodesic motion of test particles in stable circular orbits around such structures is studied. We build anisotropic fluid sources for these spacetimes which satisfy all the energy conditions and the principal stresses are positive quantities (pressure).

Poisson type relativistic perfect fluid spheres

Static spherically symmetric solutions of the Einstein's field equations in isotropic coordinates representing perfect fluid matter distributions from Newtonian potential-density pairs are investigated. The approach is illustrated with three simple examples based on the potential-density pairs corresponding to a harmonic oscillator (homogeneous sphere), the well-known Plummer model and a massive spherical dark matter halo model with a logarithmic potential. Moreover, the geodesic circular motion of test particles around such structures is studied. The stability of the orbits against radial perturbations is also analyzed using an extension of the Rayleigh criteria of stability of a fluid in rest in a gravitational field. The models considered satisfy all the energy conditions.

Exact relativistic models of conformastatic charged dust thick disks

We construct relativistic models of charged dust thick disks for a particular conformastatic spacetime through a Miyamoto-Nagai transformation used in Newtonian gravity to model disk like galaxies. Two simple families of thick disk models and a family of thick annular disks based on the field of an extreme Reissner-Nordström black hole and a Morgan-Morgan-like metric are considered. The electrogeodesic motion of test particles around the structures are analyzed. Also the stability of the particles against radial perturbation is studied using an extension of the Rayleigh criteria of stability of a fluid in rest in a gravitational field. The models built satisfy all the energy conditions.

Three-dimensional axisymmetric sources for Majumdar-Papapetrou type spacetimes

From Newtonian potential-density pairs we construct three-dimensional axisymmetric relativistic sources for a Majumdar-Papapetrou type conformastatic spacetime. As simple examples, we build two family of relativistic thick disks from of the first two Miyamoto-Nagai potential-density pairs used in Newtonian gravity to model flat galaxies, and a three-component relativistic model of galaxy (bulge, disk and dark matter halo). We study the equatorial circular motion of test particles around such structures. Also the stability of the orbits is analyzed for radial perturbation using an extension of the Rayleigh criterion. In all examples, the relativistic effects are analyzed and compared with the Newtonian approximation. The models considered satisfying all the energy conditions.

Models of spherical shells as sources of Majumdar-Papapetrou type spacetimes

By starting with a seed Newtonian potential-density pair we construct relativistic thick spherical shell models for a Majumdar-Papapetrou type conformastatic spacetime. As a simple example, we consider a family of Plummer-Hernquist type relativistic spherical shells. As a second application, these structures are then used to model a system composite by a dust disk and a halo of matter. We study the equatorial circular motion of test particles around such configurations. Also the stability of the orbits is analyzed for radial perturbation using an extension of the Rayleigh criterion. The models considered satisfying all the energy conditions.

Analytical models of finite thin disks in a magnetic field

Analytical models of axially symmetric thin disks of finite extension in presence of magnetic field are presented based on the well-known Morgan-Morgan solutions. The source of the magnetic field is cons\-tructed separating the equation corresponding to the Ampere's law of electrodynamics in spheroidal oblate coordinates. This produces two asso\-ciated Legendre equations of first order for the magnetic potential and hence that can be expressed as a series of associated Legendre functions of the same order. The discontinuity of its normal derivate across the disk allows us to interpret the source of the magnetic field as a ringlike current distribution extended on all the plane of the disk. We also study the circular speed curves or rotation curve for equatorial circular orbits of charged test particles both inside and outside the disk. The stability of the orbits is analyzed for radial perturbation using a extension of the Rayleigh criterion.

Exact relativistic models of perfect fluid disks in a magnetic field

Using the well-known ``displace, cut and reflect'' method we construct thin disks made of a perfect fluid in presence of a magnetic field. The models are based in a magnetic Reissner-Nordstrom metric of Einstein-Maxwell equations for a conformastatic spacetime. The influence of the magnetic field on the matter properties of the disk are analyzed. We also study the motion of charged test particles around the disks. We construct models of perfect fluid disks satisfying all the energy conditions.

Exact relativistic models of thin disks around static black holes in a magnetic field

The exact superposition of a central static black hole with surrounding thin disk in presence of a magnetic field is investigated. We consider two models of disk, one of infinite extension based on a Kuzmin-Chazy-Curzon metric and other finite based on the first Morgan-Morgan disk. We also analyze a simple model of active galactic nuclei consisting of black hole, a Kuzmin-Chazy-Curzon disk and two rods representing jets, in presence of magnetic field. To explain the stability of the disks we consider the matter of the disk made of two pressureless streams of counterrotating charged particles (counterrotating model) moving along electrogeodesic. Using the Rayleigh criterion we derivate for circular orbits the stability conditions of the particles of the streams. The influence of the magnetic field on the matter properties of the disk and on its stability are also analyzed.

General magnetized Weyl solutions: Disks and motion of charged particles

We construct three families of general magnetostatic axisymmetric exact solutions of Einstein-Maxwell equations in spherical coordinates, prolate, and oblates. The solutions obtained are then presented in the system of generalized spheroidal coordinates which is a generalization of the previous systems. The method used to build such solutions is the well-known complex potential formalism proposed by Ernst, using as seed solutions vacuum solutions of the Einstein field equations. We show explicitly some particular solutions among them a magnetized Erez-Rosen solution and a magnetized Morgan-Morgan solution, which we interpret as the exterior gravitational field of a finite dislike source immersed in a magnetic field. From them we also construct using the well known "displace, cut and reflect" method exact solutions representing relativistic thin disks of infinite extension. We then analyze the motion of electrically charged test particles around these fields for equatorial circular orbits and we discuss their stability against radial perturbations. For magnetized Morgan-Morgan fields we find that inside of disk the presence of magnetic field provides the possibility of to find relativist charged particles moving in both prograde and retrograde direction.

Rotating relativistic thin disks as sources of charged and magnetized Kerr-NUT spacetimes

A family of models of counterrotating and rotating relativistic thin discs of infinite extension based on a charged and magnetized Kerr-NUT metric are constructed using the well-known "displace, cut and reflect" method extended to solutions of vacuum Einstein-Maxwell equations. The metric considered has as limiting cases a charged and magnetized Taub-NUT solution and the well known Kerr-Newman solutions. We show that for Kerr-Newman fields the eigenvalues of the energy-momentum tensor of the disc are for all the values of the parameters real quantities so that these discs do not present heat flow in any case, whereas for charged and magnetized Kerr-NUT and Taub-NUT fields we find always regions with heat flow. We also find a general constraint over the counterrotating tangential velocities needed to cast the surface energy-momentum tensor of the disc as the superposition of two counterrotating charged dust fluids. We show that, in general, it is not possible to take the two counterrotating fluids as circulating along electrogeodesics nor take the two counterrotating tangential velocities as equal and opposite.

Rotating and counterrotating relativistic thin disks as sources of stationary electrovacuum spacetimes

A detailed study is presented of the counterrotating model (CRM) for electrovacuum stationary axially symmetric relativistic thin disks of infinite extension without radial stress, in the case when the eigenvalues of the energy-momentum tensor of the disk are real quantities, so that there is not heat flow. We find a general constraint over the counterrotating tangential velocities needed to cast the surface energy-momentum tensor of the disk as the superposition of two counterrotating charged dust fluids. We then show that, in some cases, this constraint can be satisfied if we take the two counterrotating tangential velocities as equal and opposite or by taking the two counterrotating streams as circulating along electro-geodesics. However, we show that, in general, it is not possible to take the two counterrotating fluids as circulating along electro-geodesics nor take the two counterrotating tangential velocities as equal and opposite. A simple family of models of counterrotating charged disks based on the Kerr-Newman solution are considered where we obtain some disks with a CRM well behaved. We also show that the disks constructed from the Kerr-Newman solution can be interpreted, for all the values of parameters, as a matter distribution with currents and purely azimuthal pressure without heat flow. The models are constructed using the well-known "displace, cut and reflect" method extended to solutions of vacuum Einstein-Maxwell equations. We obtain, in all the cases, counterrotating Kerr-Newman disks that are in agreement with all the energy conditions.

Counterrotating perfect fluid discs as sources of electrovacuum static spacetimes

The interpretation of some electrovacuum spacetimes in terms of counterrotating perfect fluid discs is presented. The interpretation is mades by means of an "inverse problem" approach used to obtain disc sources of known static solutions of the Einstein-Maxwell equations. In order to do such interpretation, a detailed study is presented of the counterrotating model (CRM) for generic electrovacuum static axially symmetric relativistic thin discs with nonzero radial pressure. Four simple families of models of counterrotating charged discs based on Chazy-Curzon-type, Zipoy-Voorhees-type, Bonnor-Sackfield-type, and charged and magnetized Darmois electrovacuum metrics are considered where we obtain some discs with a CRM well behaved.

Charged perfect fluid disks as sources of Taub-NUT-type spacetimes

The interpretation of a family of electrovacuum stationary Taub-NUT-type fields in terms of finite charged perfect fluid disks is presented. The interpretation is mades by means of an "inverse problem" approach used to obtain disk sources of known solutions of the Einstein or Einstein-Maxwell equations. The diagonalization of the energy-momentum tensor of the disks is facilitated in this case by the fact that it can be written as an upper right triangular matrix. We find that the inclusion of electromagnetic fields changes significatively the different material properties of the disks and so we can obtain, for some values of the parameters, finite charged perfect fluid disks that are in agreement with all the energy conditions.

Electrovacuum Static Counterrotating Relativistic Dust Disks

A detailed study is presented of the counterrotating model (CRM) for generic electrovacuum static axially symmetric relativistic thin disks without radial pressure. We find a general constraint over the counterrotating tangential velocities needed to cast the surface energy-momentum tensor of the disk as the superposition of two counterrotating charged dust fluids. We also find explicit expressions for the energy densities, charge densities and velocities of the counterrotating fluids. We then show that this constraint can be satisfied if we take the two counterrotating streams as circulating along electro-geodesics. However, we show that, in general, it is not possible to take the two counterrotating fluids as circulating along electro-geodesics nor take the two counterrotating tangential velocities as equal and opposite. Four simple families of models of counterrotating charged disks based on Chazy-Curzon-like, Zipoy-Voorhees-like, Bonnor-Sackfield-like and Kerr-like electrovacuum solutions are considered where we obtain some disks with a CRM well behaved. The models are constructed using the well-known ``displace, cut and reflect'' method extended to solutions of vacuum Einstein-Maxwell equations.
