Formation of requirements traceability in the process of information systems design

The traceability of requirements in the information system design process is considered an essential property of the project, one of its quality characteristics. The point here is that traceability provides the methods of validation and verification of software systems, and that the system model based on requirements traceability reduces the system's dependence on developers and, in general, makes it as straightforward as possible. One of the challenges of the traceability process, dubbed "The grand challenge of traceability" among traceability researchers, is its integration into the design process. In this paper, to achieve this goal, we propose the application of the Adaptive Clustering Method (ACM) of Information Systems developed by the author, which is based on the idea of a seamless system architecture that provides explicit interconnection of project artifacts of different levels of abstraction.

Design techniques for a seamless information system architecture

The paper discusses design techniques for a seamless architecture of information systems (IS). A seamless architecture is understood as such an architectural de-scription of an IS, that defines explicit connections between elements of architec-tural models of various architectural representations. Design techniques are based on the adaptive clustering method developed by the author, which allows one to bridge technological gaps between architectural abstracts of different levels and to link architectural models in such a way as to ensure the design of a more detailed model based on a model of a higher level of abstraction.

Seamless design of information system architecture based on adaptive clustering method

The paper considers the concept of building the architecture of an information system that provides a seamless connection between architectural representations of various levels of abstraction. The concept is based on the application of the adaptive clustering method of information systems developed by the author. Seamless connection is understood as the presence of connections between elements of architectural models related to architectural representations of various levels of abstraction.

Stochastic model of business process decomposition

Decomposition is the basis of works dedicated to business process modelling at the stage of information and management systems analysis and design. The article shows that the business process decomposition can be represented as a Galton Watson branching stochastic process. This representation allows estimating the decomposition tree depth and the total amount of its elements, as well as explaining the empirical requirement for the business function decomposition (not more than 7 elements). The problem is deemed relevant as the obtained results allow objectively estimating the labor input in business process modelling.
