The $v$-number of generalized binomial edge ideals of some graphs

Let $G$ be a finite connected simple graph, and let $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,G}$ denote its generalized binomial edge ideal. By investigating the colon ideals of $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,G}$, we derive a formula for the local $\mathrm{v}$-number of $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,G}$ with respect to the empty cut set. Furthermore, we classify graphs for which this generalized binomial edge ideal has $\mathrm{v}$-numbers $1$ or $2$. When $G$ is a connected closed graph, we compute the local $\mathrm{v}$-number of $\mathcal{J}_{K_2,G}$ by generalizing the work of Dey et al. Additionally, under the condition that $G$ is Cohen--Macaulay, we derive formulas for the $\mathrm{v}$-number of $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,G}$ and $\mathcal{J}_{K_2,G}^k$, and show that the $\mathrm{v}$-number of $\mathcal{J}_{K_2,G}^k$ is a linear function of $k$.

Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of generalized binomial edge ideals of graphs

In this paper, we mainly study the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the generalized binomial edge ideals of graphs. We show that this number can be any integer number from $2$ to $n-1$ where $n$ is the number of vertices in the underlying graph. We are able to show this, after giving some tight lower and upper bounds for the regularity of generalized binomial edge ideals of the join product of graphs. In particular, we characterize all generalized binomial edge ideals with the regularity equal to~$2$ as well as extremal Gorenstein ideals. For this purpose, we give a new combinatorial characterization for the class of $P_4$-free graphs.

Homological shifts of powers a complementary edge ideal

The homological shift algebra and the projective dimension function of complementary edge ideals are investigated. Let $G$ be a connected graph, and let $I$ be its complementary edge ideal. For bipartite graphs $G$, we show that the projective dimension of $I^s$ increases strictly with $s$ until reaching its maximum value. For trees and cycles, explicit expressions for the projective dimension of $I^s$ are provided, along with detailed descriptions of their homological shift algebras. In particular, it is shown that the $i$-th homological shift algebra of such ideals is generated in degree at most $i$. Additionally, we prove that if $G$ is a tree, then the homological shift ideal $\mathrm{HS}_i(I^i)$, when divided by a suitable monomial, becomes a Veronese-type ideal, and every Veronese-type ideal arises in this manner.

The regularity of monomial ideals and their integral closures

Let $I$ be a monomial ideal in a polynomial ring $S=K[x_1,\ldots,x_n]$ over a field $K$ with $n=2$ or $3$, and let $\overline{I}$ be its integral closure. We will show that $\text{reg} (\overline{I}) \le \text{reg} (I)$. Furthermore, if $I$ is generated by elements of degree $d$, then $\text{reg} (I)=d$ if and only if $I$ has linear quotients.

Cohen-Macaulayness of Powers of Edge Ideals of Weighted Oriented Graphs

For the edge ideal $I(\D)$ of a weighted oriented graph $\D$, we prove that its symbolic powers $I(\D)^{(t)}$ are Cohen-Macaulay for all $t\geqslant 1$ if and only if the underlying graph $G$ is composed of a disjoint union of some complete graphs. We also completely characterize the Cohen-Macaulayness of the ordinary powers $I(\D)^t$ for all $t\geqslant 2$. Furthermore, we provide a criterion for determining whether $I(\D)^t=I(\D)^{(t)}$.

Depth and regularity of powers of edge ideals of edge-weighted trees

For an increasing weighted tree $G_\omega$, we obtain an asymptotic value and a sharp bound on the index stability of the depth function of its edge ideal $I(G_\omega)$. Moreover, if $G_\omega$ is a strictly increasing weighted tree, we provide the minimal free resolution of $I(G_\omega)$ and an exact formula for the regularity of all powers of $I(G_\omega)$.

Cohen-Macaulayness of powers of edge ideals of edge-weighted graphs

In this paper, we characterize the Cohen-Macaulayness of the second power $I(G_\omega)^2$ of the weighted edge ideal $I(G_\omega)$ when the underlying graph $G$ is a very well-covered graph. We also characterize the Cohen-Macaulayness of all ordinary powers of $I(G_\omega)^n$ when $G$ is a tree with a perfect matching consisting of pendant edges and the induced subgraph $G[V(G)\setminus S]$ of $G$ on $V(G)\setminus S$ is a star, where $S$ is the set of all leaf vertices, or if $G$ is a connected graph with a perfect matching consisting of pendant edges and the induced subgraph $G[V(G)\setminus S]$ of $G$ on $V(G)\setminus S$ is a complete graph and the weight function $\omega$ satisfies $\omega(e)=1$ for all $e\in E(G[V(G)\setminus S])$.

Edge ideals of some edge-weighted graphs

This paper presents exact formulas for the regularity and depth of powers of edge ideals of an edge-weighted star graph. Additionally, we provide exact formulas for the regularity of powers of the edge ideal of an edge-weighted integrally closed path, as well as lower bounds on the depth of powers of such an edge ideal.

Generalized binomial edge ideals of complete $r$-partite graphs

This paper analyzes the cohomological dimension of the generalized binomial edge ideal $\calJ_{K_m,G}$ for a complete $r$-partite graph $G$. Additionally, the Krull dimension, the depth, the Castelnuovo--Mumford regularity, the Hilbert series, and the multiplicity of its quotient ring are explicitly determined.

Powers of generalized binomial edge ideals of path graphs

In this article, we study the powers of the generalized binomial edge ideal $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,P_n}$ of a path graph $P_n$. We explicitly compute their regularities and determine the limit of their depths. We also show that these ordinary powers coincide with their symbolic powers. Additionally, we study the Rees algebra and the special fiber ring of $\mathcal{J}_{K_m,P_n}$ via Sagbi basis theory. In particular, we obtain exact formulas for the regularity of these blowup algebras.
