Collective Blinking of Upconversion Emission in Lanthanide-doped Nanocrystals

Fluorescence blinking, often regarded as a limitation for stable emitters, can enable super-resolution localization microscopy and serve as a versatile reporter of the photophysical states of quantum emitters and their interactions with local environment. However, conventional blinking emitters are typically single quantum systems with Stokes-shifted fluorescence, making them susceptible to autofluorescence background, weak signal, and irreversible photodegradation under prolonged excitation. In contrast, single lanthanide-doped upconversion nanocrystals are effectively background-free anti-Stokes emitters and demonstrate robust resistance to photodegradation, yet they are generally considered non-blinking owing to the presence of a large ensemble of uncorrelated emitting lanthanide ions within a single nanocrystal. Here we report the discovery and control of collective blinking in the upconversion luminescence of thousands of lanthanide ions within a single nanocrystal. The blinking exhibits on-off intensity ratio exceeding 10, persists for over 15 hours (over 10,000 cycles) without discernible photodegradation, and can be reversibly controlled by adjusting the excitation power. We elucidate a universal, activator-independent upconversion blinking mechanism, whereby a single quencher, stochastically generated via a cooperative multi-ion process, can intercept delocalized excitation energy within the Yb3+ sensitizer network and darken the whole nanocrystal. Benefiting from the high-contrast, long-term photostable blinking and background-free emission, we achieve robust super-resolution localization microscopy that resolves individual nanocrystals in aggregates with 1.2 nm precision. This work establishes a general strategy to realize and control collective blinking in photostable multi-emitter nanosystems, opening new opportunities in nanoscience, bioimaging, and quantum technologies.

PXDepth: Pixel-Space Modeling for Structure Preserving Monocular Depth Estimation

Recent monocular depth estimators achieve strong zero-shot generalization, yet often struggle to preserve fine-grained structures and object boundaries. We attribute this limitation to the prevalent combination of large-patch ViT encoders and convolutional decoders, as coarse tokenization can weaken pixel-level cues that upsampling cannot fully recover. To address this issue, we propose PXDepth, a discriminative monocular depth model that separates global context modeling from pixel-level depth prediction. Specifically, a large-patch ViT captures global scene context, while a pixel-space predictor composed of Context-Modulated Pixel Transformer blocks maintains high-resolution spatial representations throughout depth estimation. This design preserves fine structures and sharp boundaries without sacrificing global depth consistency. Across diverse zero-shot benchmarks, PXDepth combines faithful local geometry with competitive global depth accuracy while remaining efficient at inference. AerialMetric: Benchmarking and Adapting UAV Monocular Metric Depth Estimation in the Real World

This paper addresses the problem of monocular metric depth estimation in aerial UAV imagery. Although recent data-driven methods have achieved remarkable progress in ground-level scenarios, models trained primarily on street-view and indoor datasets exhibit significant domain gaps when applied to aerial viewpoints. To tackle these challenges, we introduce AerialMetric, a benchmark dataset designed to evaluate and facilitate the adaptation of monocular metric depth estimation under UAV aerial viewpoints. The dataset consists of four complementary subsets collected from different sources, jointly covering real-world photogrammetry data, controlled aerial acquisition settings, photorealistic synthetic scenes, and in-the-wild Internet imagery. Totally, AerialMetric provides 52K real-world and 16K synthetic image-depth pairs with reliable metric ground truth. Based on this dataset, we conduct systematic evaluations of existing state-of-the-art models under aerial settings and investigate the impact of viewpoint, altitude, and camera parameters on metric depth prediction. In addition, by fine-tuning representative metric depth model on our dataset, we establish a comprehensive aerial benchmark and achieve state-of-the-art performance across diverse aerial imagery. Our dataset, code, and model weight are publicly available at https://kuieless.github.io/AerialMetric-ECCV2026-page/.

PartNerFace: Part-based Neural Radiance Fields for Animatable Facial Avatar Reconstruction

We present PartNerFace, a part-based neural radiance fields approach, for reconstructing animatable facial avatar from monocular RGB videos. Existing solutions either simply condition the implicit network with the morphable model parameters or learn an imaginary canonical radiance field, making them fail to generalize to unseen facial expressions and capture fine-scale motion details. To address these challenges, we first apply inverse skinning based on a parametric head model to map an observed point to the canonical space, and then model fine-scale motions with a part-based deformation field. Our key insight is that the deformation of different facial parts should be modeled differently. Specifically, our part-based deformation field consists of multiple local MLPs to adaptively partition the canonical space into different parts, where the deformation of a 3D point is computed by aggregating the prediction of all local MLPs by a soft-weighting mechanism. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our method generalizes well to unseen expressions and is capable of modeling fine-scale facial motions, outperforming state-of-the-art methods both quantitatively and qualitatively.

RobustSplat++: Decoupling Densification, Dynamics, and Illumination for In-the-Wild 3DGS

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) has gained significant attention for its real-time, photo-realistic rendering in novel-view synthesis and 3D modeling. However, existing methods struggle with accurately modeling in-the-wild scenes affected by transient objects and illuminations, leading to artifacts in the rendered images. We identify that the Gaussian densification process, while enhancing scene detail capture, unintentionally contributes to these artifacts by growing additional Gaussians that model transient disturbances and illumination variations. To address this, we propose RobustSplat++, a robust solution based on several critical designs. First, we introduce a delayed Gaussian growth strategy that prioritizes optimizing static scene structure before allowing Gaussian splitting/cloning, mitigating overfitting to transient objects in early optimization. Second, we design a scale-cascaded mask bootstrapping approach that first leverages lower-resolution feature similarity supervision for reliable initial transient mask estimation, taking advantage of its stronger semantic consistency and robustness to noise, and then progresses to high-resolution supervision to achieve more precise mask prediction. Third, we incorporate the delayed Gaussian growth strategy and mask bootstrapping with appearance modeling to handling in-the-wild scenes including transients and illuminations. Extensive experiments on multiple challenging datasets show that our method outperforms existing methods, clearly demonstrating the robustness and effectiveness of our method.

CloseUpShot: Close-up Novel View Synthesis from Sparse-views via Point-conditioned Diffusion Model

Reconstructing 3D scenes and synthesizing novel views from sparse input views is a highly challenging task. Recent advances in video diffusion models have demonstrated strong temporal reasoning capabilities, making them a promising tool for enhancing reconstruction quality under sparse-view settings. However, existing approaches are primarily designed for modest viewpoint variations, which struggle in capturing fine-grained details in close-up scenarios since input information is severely limited. In this paper, we present a diffusion-based framework, called CloseUpShot, for close-up novel view synthesis from sparse inputs via point-conditioned video diffusion. Specifically, we observe that pixel-warping conditioning suffers from severe sparsity and background leakage in close-up settings. To address this, we propose hierarchical warping and occlusion-aware noise suppression, enhancing the quality and completeness of the conditioning images for the video diffusion model. Furthermore, we introduce global structure guidance, which leverages a dense fused point cloud to provide consistent geometric context to the diffusion process, to compensate for the lack of globally consistent 3D constraints in sparse conditioning inputs. Extensive experiments on multiple datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms existing approaches, especially in close-up novel view synthesis, clearly validating the effectiveness of our design.

Towards Precise Channel Knowledge Map: Exploiting Environmental Information from 2D Visuals to 3D Point Clouds

The substantial communication resources consumed by conventional pilot-based channel sounding impose an unsustainable overhead, presenting a critical scalability challenge for the future 6G networks characterized by massive channel dimensions, ultra-wide bandwidth, and dense user deployments. As a generalization of radio map, channel knowledge map (CKM) offers a paradigm shift, enabling access to location-tagged channel information without exhaustive measurements. To fully utilize the power of CKM, this work highlights the necessity of leveraging three-dimensional (3D) environmental information, beyond conventional two-dimensional (2D) visual representations, to construct high-precision CKMs. Specifically, we present a novel framework that integrates 3D point clouds into CKM construction through a hybrid model- and data-driven approach, with extensive case studies in real-world scenarios. The experimental results demonstrate the potential for constructing precise CKMs based on 3D environments enhanced with semantic understanding, together with their applications in the next-generation wireless communications. We also release a real-world dataset of measured channel paired with high-resolution 3D environmental data to support future research and validation.

DAM-VSR: Disentanglement of Appearance and Motion for Video Super-Resolution

Real-world video super-resolution (VSR) presents significant challenges due to complex and unpredictable degradations. Although some recent methods utilize image diffusion models for VSR and have shown improved detail generation capabilities, they still struggle to produce temporally consistent frames. We attempt to use Stable Video Diffusion (SVD) combined with ControlNet to address this issue. However, due to the intrinsic image-animation characteristics of SVD, it is challenging to generate fine details using only low-quality videos. To tackle this problem, we propose DAM-VSR, an appearance and motion disentanglement framework for VSR. This framework disentangles VSR into appearance enhancement and motion control problems. Specifically, appearance enhancement is achieved through reference image super-resolution, while motion control is achieved through video ControlNet. This disentanglement fully leverages the generative prior of video diffusion models and the detail generation capabilities of image super-resolution models. Furthermore, equipped with the proposed motion-aligned bidirectional sampling strategy, DAM-VSR can conduct VSR on longer input videos. DAM-VSR achieves state-of-the-art performance on real-world data and AIGC data, demonstrating its powerful detail generation capabilities.

Point Cloud Environment-Based Channel Knowledge Map Construction

Channel knowledge map (CKM) provides certain levels of channel state information (CSI) for an area of interest, serving as a critical enabler for environment-aware communications by reducing the overhead of frequent CSI acquisition. However, existing CKM construction schemes adopt over-simplified environment information, which significantly compromises their accuracy. To address this issue, this work proposes a joint model- and data-driven approach to construct CKM by leveraging point cloud environmental data along with a few samples of location-tagged channel information. First, we propose a novel point selector to identify subsets of point cloud that contain environmental information relevant to multipath channel gains, by constructing a set of co-focal ellipsoids based on different time of arrival (ToAs). Then, we trained a neural channel gain estimator to learn the mapping between each selected subset and its corresponding channel gain, using a real-world dataset we collected through field measurements, comprising environmental point clouds and corresponding channel data. Finally, experimental results demonstrate that: For CKM construction of power delay profile (PDP), the proposed method achieves a root mean squared error (RMSE) of 2.95 dB, significantly lower than the 7.32 dB achieved by the conventional ray-tracing method; for CKM construction of received power values, i.e., radio map, it achieves an RMSE of 1.04 dB, surpassing the Kriging interpolation method with an RMSE of 1.68 dB.

LHM++: An Efficient Large Human Reconstruction Model for Pose-free Images to 3D

Reconstructing animatable 3D humans from casually captured images of articulated subjects without camera or pose information is highly practical but remains challenging due to view misalignment, occlusions, and the absence of structural priors. In this work, we present LHM++, an efficient large-scale human reconstruction model that generates high-quality, animatable 3D avatars within seconds from one or multiple pose-free images. At its core is an Encoder-Decoder Point-Image Transformer architecture that progressively encodes and decodes 3D geometric point features to improve efficiency, while fusing hierarchical 3D point features with image features through multimodal attention. The fused features are decoded into 3D Gaussian splats to recover detailed geometry and appearance. To further enhance visual fidelity, we introduce a lightweight 3D-aware neural animation renderer that refines the rendering quality of reconstructed avatars in real time. Extensive experiments show that our method produces high-fidelity, animatable 3D humans without requiring camera or pose annotations. Let Them Talk: Audio-Driven Multi-Person Conversational Video Generation

Audio-driven human animation methods, such as talking head and talking body generation, have made remarkable progress in generating synchronized facial movements and appealing visual quality videos. However, existing methods primarily focus on single human animation and struggle with multi-stream audio inputs, facing incorrect binding problems between audio and persons. Additionally, they exhibit limitations in instruction-following capabilities. To solve this problem, in this paper, we propose a novel task: Multi-Person Conversational Video Generation, and introduce a new framework, MultiTalk, to address the challenges during multi-person generation. Specifically, for audio injection, we investigate several schemes and propose the Label Rotary Position Embedding (L-RoPE) method to resolve the audio and person binding problem. Furthermore, during training, we observe that partial parameter training and multi-task training are crucial for preserving the instruction-following ability of the base model. MultiTalk achieves superior performance compared to other methods on several datasets, including talking head, talking body, and multi-person datasets, demonstrating the powerful generation capabilities of our approach.

MaterialMVP: Illumination-Invariant Material Generation via Multi-view PBR Diffusion

Physically-based rendering (PBR) has become a cornerstone in modern computer graphics, enabling realistic material representation and lighting interactions in 3D scenes. In this paper, we present MaterialMVP, a novel end-to-end model for generating PBR textures from 3D meshes and image prompts, addressing key challenges in multi-view material synthesis. Our approach leverages Reference Attention to extract and encode informative latent from the input reference images, enabling intuitive and controllable texture generation. We also introduce a Consistency-Regularized Training strategy to enforce stability across varying viewpoints and illumination conditions, ensuring illumination-invariant and geometrically consistent results. Additionally, we propose Dual-Channel Material Generation, which separately optimizes albedo and metallic-roughness (MR) textures while maintaining precise spatial alignment with the input images through Multi-Channel Aligned Attention. Learnable material embeddings are further integrated to capture the distinct properties of albedo and MR. Experimental results demonstrate that our model generates PBR textures with realistic behavior across diverse lighting scenarios, outperforming existing methods in both consistency and quality for scalable 3D asset creation.

LHM: Large Animatable Human Reconstruction Model from a Single Image in Seconds

Animatable 3D human reconstruction from a single image is a challenging problem due to the ambiguity in decoupling geometry, appearance, and deformation. Recent advances in 3D human reconstruction mainly focus on static human modeling, and the reliance of using synthetic 3D scans for training limits their generalization ability. Conversely, optimization-based video methods achieve higher fidelity but demand controlled capture conditions and computationally intensive refinement processes. Motivated by the emergence of large reconstruction models for efficient static reconstruction, we propose LHM (Large Animatable Human Reconstruction Model) to infer high-fidelity avatars represented as 3D Gaussian splatting in a feed-forward pass. Our model leverages a multimodal transformer architecture to effectively encode the human body positional features and image features with attention mechanism, enabling detailed preservation of clothing geometry and texture. To further boost the face identity preservation and fine detail recovery, we propose a head feature pyramid encoding scheme to aggregate multi-scale features of the head regions. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our LHM generates plausible animatable human in seconds without post-processing for face and hands, outperforming existing methods in both reconstruction accuracy and generalization ability.

AniGS: Animatable Gaussian Avatar from a Single Image with Inconsistent Gaussian Reconstruction

Generating animatable human avatars from a single image is essential for various digital human modeling applications. Existing 3D reconstruction methods often struggle to capture fine details in animatable models, while generative approaches for controllable animation, though avoiding explicit 3D modeling, suffer from viewpoint inconsistencies in extreme poses and computational inefficiencies. In this paper, we address these challenges by leveraging the power of generative models to produce detailed multi-view canonical pose images, which help resolve ambiguities in animatable human reconstruction. We then propose a robust method for 3D reconstruction of inconsistent images, enabling real-time rendering during inference. Specifically, we adapt a transformer-based video generation model to generate multi-view canonical pose images and normal maps, pretraining on a large-scale video dataset to improve generalization. To handle view inconsistencies, we recast the reconstruction problem as a 4D task and introduce an efficient 3D modeling approach using 4D Gaussian Splatting. Experiments demonstrate that our method achieves photorealistic, real-time animation of 3D human avatars from in-the-wild images, showcasing its effectiveness and generalization capability.

HouseTune: Two-Stage Floorplan Generation with LLM Assistance

This paper proposes a two-stage text-to-floorplan generation framework that combines the reasoning capability of Large Language Models (LLMs) with the generative power of diffusion models. In the first stage, we leverage a Chain-of-Thought (CoT) prompting strategy to guide an LLM in generating an initial layout (Layout-Init) from natural language descriptions, which ensures a user-friendly and intuitive design process. However, Layout-Init may lack precise geometric alignment and fine-grained structural details. To address this, the second stage employs a conditional diffusion model to refine Layout-Init into a final floorplan (Layout-Final) that better adheres to physical constraints and user requirements. Unlike prior methods, our approach effectively reduces the difficulty of floorplan generation learning without the need for extensive domain-specific training data. Experimental results demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance across all metrics, which validates its effectiveness in practical home design applications.

PIR: Photometric Inverse Rendering with Shading Cues Modeling and Surface Reflectance Regularization

This paper addresses the problem of inverse rendering from photometric images. Existing approaches for this problem suffer from the effects of self-shadows, inter-reflections, and lack of constraints on the surface reflectance, leading to inaccurate decomposition of reflectance and illumination due to the ill-posed nature of inverse rendering. In this work, we propose a new method for neural inverse rendering. Our method jointly optimizes the light source position to account for the self-shadows in images, and computes indirect illumination using a differentiable rendering layer and an importance sampling strategy. To enhance surface reflectance decomposition, we introduce a new regularization by distilling DINO features to foster accurate and consistent material decomposition. Extensive experiments on synthetic and real datasets demonstrate that our method outperforms the state-of-the-art methods in reflectance decomposition.

DreamDissector: Learning Disentangled Text-to-3D Generation from 2D Diffusion Priors

Text-to-3D generation has recently seen significant progress. To enhance its practicality in real-world applications, it is crucial to generate multiple independent objects with interactions, similar to layer-compositing in 2D image editing. However, existing text-to-3D methods struggle with this task, as they are designed to generate either non-independent objects or independent objects lacking spatially plausible interactions. Addressing this, we propose DreamDissector, a text-to-3D method capable of generating multiple independent objects with interactions. DreamDissector accepts a multi-object text-to-3D NeRF as input and produces independent textured meshes. To achieve this, we introduce the Neural Category Field (NeCF) for disentangling the input NeRF. Additionally, we present the Category Score Distillation Sampling (CSDS), facilitated by a Deep Concept Mining (DCM) module, to tackle the concept gap issue in diffusion models. By leveraging NeCF and CSDS, we can effectively derive sub-NeRFs from the original scene. Further refinement enhances geometry and texture. Our experimental results validate the effectiveness of DreamDissector, providing users with novel means to control 3D synthesis at the object level and potentially opening avenues for various creative applications in the future.
