Hidden-charm strong decays of the spin-$2$ partner of $X(3872)$

Hidden-charm strong decays of the spin-2 partner $X_2(4014)$ of the charmonium-like state $X(3872)$ have been studied in the framework of the covariant confined quark model. The exotic state $X_2$ has been interpreted as a four-quark state with molecular-type interpolating current. We have considered the decay widths of $X_2$ on the level of two-petal quark loops. The partial widths of the strong decays $X_2\!\to\!ω\, J/Ψ$ and $X_2\!\to\!ρ^0 \, J/Ψ$ have been calculated and the related branching ratio has been analyzed.

Strong decays of charmonium-like state Y(4230)

Strong decays of the charmonium-like state $Y(4320)$ have been studied in the framework of the covariant confined quark model. The resonance $Y$ has been interpreted as a four-quark state of the molecular type. We evaluate the hidden-charm decay width of $Y$ to a vector and a scalar, with the latter decaying subsequently to a pair of charged pseudoscalar states. The strong decay modes $Y \!\to\! π^{+}π^{-}J/Ψ$ and $Y \!\to\! K^{+}K^{-} J/Ψ$ have been studied by involving the scalar resonance state $f_0(980)$. We have calculated the fractal widths of the related strong decays and the branching ratio ${\cal B}(Y \!\to\! K^{+}K^{-} J/Ψ)$ / ${\cal B}(Y \!\to\! π^{+}π^{-}J/Ψ)$, recently determined by the BESIII collaboration. The estimated branching ratio and calculated fractal strong decay widths are in good agreement with the latest experimental data, favoring the molecular representation of the $Y(4320)$ state.

Radiative transitions of charmonium states in the covariant confined quark model

We have studied the dominant radiative transitions of the charmonium $S$-and $P$-wave states within the covariant confined quark model. The gauge invariant leading-order transition amplitudes have been expressed by using either the conventional Lorentz structures, or the helicity amplitudes, where it was effective. The renormalization couplings of the charmonium states have been strictly fixed by the compositeness conditions that excludes the constituent degrees of freedom from the space of physical states. We use the basic model parameters for the constituent c-quark mass $m_c=1.80$ GeV and the global infrared cutoff $λ=0.181$ GeV. We additionally introduce only one adjustable parameter $\varrho>0$ common for the charmonium states $η_c({}^1\!S_0)$, $J/ψ({}^3\!S_1)$, $χ_{c0}({^{3}}\!P_{0})$, $χ_{c1}({^{3}}\!P_{1})$, $h_c({^{1}}\!P_{1})$, and $χ_{c2}({^{3}}\!P_{2})$ to describe the quark distribution inside the hadron. This parameter describes the ratio between the charmonium size and its physical mass. The optimal value $\varrho=0.485$ has been fixed by fitting the latest data for the partial widths of the one-photon radiative decays of the triplet $χ_{cJ}({^{3}}\!P_{J}), J=\{0,1,2\}$. Then, we calculate corresponding fractional widths for states $J/ψ({}^3\!S_1)$ and $h_c({^{1}}\!P_{1})$. Estimated results are in good agreement with the latest data. By using the fraction data from PDG2020 and our estimated partial decay width for $h_c({^{1}}\!P_{1})$ we recalculate the theoretical full width $Γ^{\rm theor}_{h_c} \simeq (0.57 \pm 0.12)$ MeV in comparison with latest data $Γ^{\rm exp}_{h_c} \simeq (0.7\pm 0.4)$ MeV. We also repeated our calculations by gradually decreasing the global cutoff parameter and revealed that the results do not change for any $λ<0.181$ GeV up to the deconfinement limit.

On the strong effective coupling, glueball and meson ground states

The phenomena of strong running coupling and hadron mass generating have been studied in the framework of a QCD-inspired relativistic model of quark-gluon interaction with infrared confined propagators. We derived a meson mass equation and revealed a specific new behaviour of the mass-dependent strong coupling $\hatα_s(M)$ defined in the time-like region. A new infrared freezing point $\hatα_s(0)=1.03198$ at origin has been found and it did not depend on the confinement scale $Λ>0$. Independent and new estimates on the scalar glueball mass, 'radius' and gluon condensate value have been performed. The spectrum of conventional mesons have been calculated by introducing a minimal set of parameters: the masses of constituent quarks and $Λ$. The obtained values are in good agreement with the latest experimental data with relative errors less than 1.8 percent. Accurate estimates of the leptonic decay constants of pseudoscalar and vector mesons have been performed.

On the meson mass spectrum in the covariant confined quark model

We provide a new insight into the problem of generating the hadron mass spectrum in the framework of the covariant confined quark model. One of the underlying principles of this model is the compositeness condition which means that the wave function renormalization constant of the elementary hadron is equal to zero. In particular, this equation allows to express the Yukawa coupling of the meson fields to the constituent quarks as a function of other model parameters. In addition to the compositeness condition we also employ a further equation which relates the meson mass function to the Fermi coupling. Both equations guarantee that the Yukawa-type theory is equivalent to the Fermi-type theory thereby providing an interpretation of the meson field as the bound state of its constituent fermions (quarks). We evaluate the Fermi-coupling as a function of meson (pseudoscalar and vector) masses and vary the values of the masses in such a way to obtain a smooth behavior for the resulting curve. The mass spectrum obtained in this manner is found to be in good agreement with the experimental data. We also compare the behavior of our Fermi-coupling with the strong QCD coupling alpha_s calculated in an QCD-inspired approach.

QCD Effective Coupling in the Infrared Region

We estimate the QCD effective charge $α_s$ in the low-energy region by exploiting the conventional meson spectrum within a relativistic quantum-field model based on analytic confinement. The ladder Bethe-Salpeter equation is solved for the masses of two-quark bound states. We found a new, independent and specific infrared-finite behavior of QCD coupling below energy scale 1 GeV. Particularly, an infrared-fixed point is extracted at $α_s(0)\simeq 0.757$ for confinement scale $Λ=345$ MeV. As an application, we estimate masses of some intermediate and heavy mesons and obtain results in reasonable agreement with recent experimental data.
