Non perturbative and thermal dynamics of confined fields in dual QCD

In order to study the detailed dynamics and associated non-perturbative features of QCD, a dual version of the color gauge theory based on the topologically viable homogeneous fiber bundle approach has been analysed taking into account its magnetic symmetry structure. In the dynamically broken phase of magnetic symmetry, the associated flux tube structure on a S 2 -sphere in the magnetically condensed state of the dual QCD vacuum has been analyzed for the profiles of the color electric field using flux quantization and stability conditions. The color electric field has its intimate association with the vector mode of the magnetically condensed QCD vacuum and such field configurations have been analyzed to show that the color electric flux gets localized towards the poles for a large sphere case while it gets uniformly distributed for the small sphere case in the infrared sector of QCD. The critical flux tube densities have been computed for various couplings and are shown to be in agreement with that for lead-ion central collisions in the near infrared sector of QCD. The possible annihilation/unification of flux tubes under some typical flux tube density and temperature conditions in the magnetic symmetry broken phase of QCD has also been analyzed and shown to play an important role in the process of QGP formation. The thermal variation of the profiles of the color electic field is further investigated which indicates the survival of flux tubes even in the thermal domain that leads the possibility of the formation of some exotic states like QGP in the intermedate regime during the quark-hadron phase transition.

Bag model of hadrons, dual QCD thermodynamics and Quark-Gluon Plasma

Using the grand canonical ensemble formulation of a multi-particle statistical system, the thermodynamical description of the dual QCD has been presented in terms of the bag model of hadrons and analyzed for the quark-gluon plasma phase of hadronic matter. The dual QCD bag construction has been shown to lead to the radial pressure on the bag surface in terms of the vector glueball masses of the magnetically condensed QCD vacuum. Constructing the grand canonical partition function to deal with the quark-gluon plasma phase of the non-strange hadrons, the energy density and the plasma pressure have been derived and used to understand the dynamics of the associated phase transition. The critical temperature for QGP-hadron phase transition has been derived and numerically estimated by using various thermodynamic considerations. A comparison of the values of the critical temperatures for QGP-hadron phase transition with those obtained for the deconfinement-phase transition, has been shown to lead to the relaxation of the system via a mixed phase of QGP and hot hadron gas. The associated profiles of the normalized energy density and the specific heat have been shown to lead to a huge latent heat generation and indicate the onset of a first-order QGP phase transition. The squared speed of sound has been shown to act as a physical measure of large thermodynamical fluctuations near transition point where it shows a large reduction in its value as compared to the conformal limit and has intimate connection with the evolution of fire-ball and QGP in heavy-ion collision events. The possible implications of the trace anomaly and conformal measure on QGP formation have been discussed and a considerable increase in the degrees of freedom and the associated interaction effects has been indicated around the transition region and discussed for its relevance with the modern heavy-ion collision experiments.

Spin-Gauge Theory of Gravity with Higgs-field Mechanism

We propose a Lorentz-covariant Yang-Mills spin-gauge theory, where the function valued Dirac matrices play the role of a non-scalar Higgs-field. As symmetry group we choose $SU(2) \times U(1)$. After symmetry breaking a non-scalar Lorentz-covariant Higgs-field gravity appears, which can be interpreted within a classical limit as Einstein's metrical theory of gravity, where we restrict ourselves in a first step to its linearized version.

Gauge Formulation for Two Potential Theory of Dyons

Dual electrodynamics and corresponding Maxwell's equations (in the presence of monopole only) are revisited from the symmetry of duality and gauge invariance. Accordingly, the manifestly covariant, dual symmetric and gauge invariant two potential theory of generalized electromagnetic fields of dyons has been developed consistently from U(1)\times U(1) gauge symmetry. Corresponding field equations and equation of motion are derived from Lagrangian formulation adopted for U(1)\times U(1) gauge symmetry for the justification of two four potentials of dyons.

Generalization of Schwinger-Zwanziger Dyon to Quaternion

Postulating the existence of magnetic monopole in electromagnetism and Heavisidian monopoles in gravitational interactions, a unified theory of gravi-electromagnetism has been developed on generalizing the Schwinger-Zwanziger formulation of dyon to quaternion in simple and consistent manner. Starting with the four Lorentz like forces on different charges, we have generalized the Schwinger-Zwanziger quantization parameters in order to obtain the angular momentum for unified fields of dyons and gravito-dyons (i.e. Gravi-electromagnetism). Taking the unified charge as quaternion, we have reformulated manifestly covariant and consistent theory for the dynamics of four charges namely electric, magnetic, gravitational and Heavisidian associated with gravi electromagnetism. Accelerated expansion of the Universe driven by dynamic self-interaction

We establish a new model, which takes into account a dynamic (inertial) self-interaction of gravitating systems. The model is formulated by introduction of a new function depending on the square of the covariant derivative of the velocity four-vector of the system as a whole into the Lagrangian. This term is meant for description of both self-action of the system irregularly moving in the gravitational field, and back-reaction of the motion irregularities on the gravity field. We discuss one example of exact solution to the extended master equations in the framework of cosmological model of the FLRW type with vanishing cosmological constant. It is shown that accelerated expansion of the Universe can be driven by traditional matter with positive pressure (e.g., dust, ultrarelativistic fluid) due to the back-reaction of the gravity field induced by irregular motion of the system as a whole; this back-reaction is shown to be characterized by the negative effective pressure.

The influence of scalar fields in protogalactic interactions

We present simulations within the framework of scalar-tensor theories, in the Newtonian limit, to investigate the influence of massive scalar fields on the dynamics of the collision of two equal spherical clouds. We employ a SPH code modified to include the scalar field to simulate two initially non-rotating protogalaxies that approach each other, and as a result of the tidal interaction, intrinsic angular momentum is generated. We have obtained sufficient large values of J/M to suggest that intrinsic angular momentum can be the result of tidal interactions.

Non-minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills-dilaton theory

We establish a new non-minimal Einstein-Yang-Mills-dilaton model, for which the Lagrangian is linear in the curvature and contains eight arbitrary functions of the scalar (dilaton) field. The self-consistent system of equations for the non-minimally coupled gauge, scalar and gravitational fields is derived. As an example of an application we discuss the model with pp-wave symmetry. Two exact explicit regular solutions of the whole system of master equations, belonging to the class of pp-wave solutions, are presented.

Nonminimal isotropic cosmological model with Yang-Mills and Higgs fields

We establish a nonminimal Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs model, which contains six coupling parameters. First three parameters relate to the nonminimal coupling of non-Abelian gauge field and gravity field, two parameters describe the so-called derivative nonminimal coupling of scalar multiplet with gravity field, and the sixth parameter introduces the standard coupling of scalar field with Ricci scalar. The formulated six-parameter nonminimal Einstein-Yang-Mills-Higgs model is applied to cosmology. We show that there exists a unique exact cosmological solution of the de Sitter type for a special choice of the coupling parameters. The nonminimally extended Yang-Mills and Higgs equations are satisfied for arbitrary gauge and scalar fields, when the coupling parameters are specifically related to the curvature constant of the isotropic spacetime. Basing on this special exact solution we discuss the problem of a hidden anisotropy of the Yang-Mills field, and give an explicit example, when the nonminimal coupling effectively screens the anisotropy induced by the Yang-Mills field and thus restores the isotropy of the model.

S-brane solutions with (anti-)self-dual parallel charge density form on a Ricci-flat submanifold

A D-dimensional cosmological model with several scalar fields and antisymmetric (p+2)-form is considered. For dimensions D = 4m+1 = 5, 9, 13, ... and p = 2m-1 = 1, 3, 5, ... we obtain a family of new cosmological type solutions with 4m-dimensional oriented Ricci-flat submanifold N of Euclidean signature. These solutions are characterized by a self-dual or anti-self-dual parallel charge density form Q of rank 2m defined on N. The (sub)manifold N may be chosen to be K\ddot{a}hler, or hyper-K\ddot{a}hler one, or 8-dimensional manifold of Spin(7) holonomy. The generalization of solutions to a chain of extra marginal) Ricci-flat factor-spaces is also presented. Solutions with accelerated expansion of extra factor-spaces are singled out. Certain examples of new solutions for IIA supergravity and for a chain of B_D-models in dimensions D = 14, 15, ... are considered.

Regular black holes and black universes

We give a comparative description of different types of regular static, spherically symmetric black holes (BHs) and discuss in more detail their particular type, which we suggest to call black universes. The latter have a Schwarzschild-like causal structure, but inside the horizon there is an expanding Kantowski-Sachs universe and a de Sitter infinity instead of a singularity. Thus a hypothetic BH explorer gets a chance to survive. Solutions of this kind are naturally obtained if one considers static, spherically symmetric distributions of various (but not all) kinds of phantom matter whose existence is favoured by cosmological observations. It also looks possible that our Universe has originated from phantom-dominated collapse in another universe and underwent isotropization after crossing the horizon. An explicit example of a black-universe solution with positive Schwarzschild mass is discussed.

Electromagnetic Duality, Quaternion and Supersymmetric Gauge Theories of Dyons

Starting with the generalized potentials, currents, field tensors and electromagnetic vector fields of dyons as the complex complex quantities with real and imaginary counter parts as electric and magnetic constituents, we have established the electromagnetic duality for various fields and equations of motion associated with dyons in consistent way. It has been shown that the manifestly covariant forms of generalized field equations and equation of motion of dyons are invariant under duality transformations. Quaternionic formulation for generalized fields of dyons are developed and corresponding field equations are derived in compact and simpler manner. Supersymmetric gauge theories are accordingly reviewed to discuss the behaviour of dualities associated with BPS mass formula of dyons in terms of supersymmetric charges. Consequently, the higher dimensional supersymmetric gauge theories for N=2 and N=4 supersymmetries are analysed over the fields of complex and quaternions respectively.

On time variation of G in multidimensional models with two curvatures

Expressions for G-dot are considered in a multidimensional model with an Einstein internal space and a multicomponent perfect fluid. In the case of two non-zero curvatures without matter, a mechanism for prediction of small G-dot is suggested. The result is compared with exact (1+3+6)-dimensional solutions. A two-component example with two matter sources (dust + 5-brane) and two Ricci-flat factor spaces is also considered.

Composite electric S-brane solutions with maximal number of branes and several scalar fields

A (n+1)-dimensional cosmological model with a set of scalar fields and antisymmetric (p+2)-form is considered. Some of scalar fields may have negative kinetic terms, i.e. they may describe ``phantom'' fields. For certain odd dimensions (D = 4m+1 = 5, 9, 13, ...) and (p+2)-forms (p = 2m-1 = 1, 3, 5, ...) and non-exceptional dilatonic coupling vector $\vecλ$ we obtain cosmological-type solutions to the field equations. These solutions are characterized by self-dual or anti-self-dual charge density forms Q (of rank 2m) and may describe the maximal set of branes (i.e. when all the branes have non-zero charge densities). Some properties of these solutions are considered, e.g. Kasner-like behavior, the existence of non-singular (e.g. bouncing) solutions and those with acceleration. The solutions with bouncing and acceleration take place when at least there is one ``phantom'' field in the model.

Billiard representation for multidimensional multi-scalar cosmological model with exponential potentials

Multidimensional cosmological-type model with n Einstein factor spaces in the theory with l scalar fields and multiple exponential potential is considered. The dynamics of the model near the singularity is reduced to a billiard on the (N-1)-dimensional Lobachevsky space H^{N-1}, N = n+l. It is shown that for n > 1 the oscillating behaviour near the singularity is absent and solutions have an asymptotical Kasner-like behavior. For the case of one scale factor (n =1) billiards with finite volumes (e.g. coinciding with that of the Bianchi-IX model) are described and oscillating behaviour of scalar fields near the singularity is obtained.

On spherically symmetric solutions with horizon in model with multicomponent anisotropic fluid

A family of spherically symmetric solutions in the model with m-component anisotropic fluid is considered. The metric of the solution depends on parameters q_s, s = 1,...,m, relating radial pressures and the densities and contains (n -1)m parameters corresponding to Ricci-flat "internal space" metrics and obeying certain m(m-1)/2 ("orthogonality") relations. For q_s = 1 (for all s) and certian equations of state (p_i^s = \pm ρ^s) the metric coincides with the metric of intersecting black brane solution in the model with antisymmetric forms. A family of solutions with (regular) horizon corresponding to natural numbers q_s = 1,2,... is singled out. Certain examples of "generalized simulation" of intersecting M-branes in D=11 supergravity are considered. The post-Newtonian parameters βand γcorresponding to the 4-dimensional section of the metric are calculated.

On a general class of brane-world black holes

We use the general solution to the trace of the 4-dimensional Einstein equations for static, spherically symmetric configurations as a basis for finding a general class of black hole (BH) metrics, containing one arbitrary function $g_{tt} = A(r)$ which vanishes at some $r = r_h > 0$, the horizon radius. Under certain reasonable restrictions, BH metrics are found with or without matter and, depending on the boundary conditions, can be asymptotically flat or have any other prescribed large $r$ behaviour. It is shown that this procedure generically leads to families of solutions unifying non-extremal globally regular BHs with a Kerr-like global structure, extremal BHs and symmetric wormholes. Horizons in space-times with zero scalar curvature are shown to be either simple or double. The same is generically true for horizons inside a matter distribution, but in special cases there can be horizons of any order. A few simple examples are discussed. A natural application of the above results is the brane world concept, in which the trace of the 4D gravity equations is the only unambiguous equation for the 4D metric, and its solutions can be continued into the 5D bulk according to the embedding theorems.
