Odd-even mass difference and isospin dependent pairing interaction

The neutron and proton odd-even mass differences are studied with Hartree-Fock+BCS (HFBCS) calculations with Skyrme interactions and an isospin dependent contact pairing interaction, which is recently derived from a microscopic nucleon-nucleon interaction. To this end, we perform HFBCS calculations for even and odd semi-magic Tin and Lead isotopes together with even and odd Z isotones with $N$= 50 and 82. The filling approximation is applied to the last unoccupied particle in odd nuclei. Comparisons with the experimental data show a clear manifestation of the isospin dependent pairing correlations in both proton and neutron pairing gaps.

Core Polarization and Tensor Coupling Effects on Magnetic Moments of Hypernuclei

The effects of core polarization and tensor coupling on the magnetic moments in $^{13}_Λ$C, $^{17}_Λ$O, and $^{41}_Λ$Ca $Λ$-hypernuclei are studied in the Dirac equation with scalar, vector and tensor potentials. It is found that the effect of core polarization on the magnetic moments is suppressed by $Λ$ tensor coupling. The $Λ$ tensor potential reduces the spin-orbit splitting of $p_Λ$ states considerably. However, almost the same magnetic moments are obtained using the hyperon wave function obtained via the Dirac equation either with or without the $Λ$ tensor potential in the electromagnetic current vertex. The deviations of magnetic moments for $p_Λ$ states from the Schmidt values are found to increase with nuclear mass number.
