Structure of Excited States of 10Be studied with Antisymmetrized Molecular Dynamics

We study structure of excited states of 10Be with the method of variation after spin parity projection in the framework of antisymmetrized molecular dynamics. Present calculations describe many excited states and reproduce the experimental data of E2 and E1 transitions and the new data of the $β$ transition strength successfully. We make systematic discussions on the molecule-like structures of light unstable nuclei and the important role of the valence neutrons based on the results obtained with the framework which is free from such model assumptions as the existence of inert cores and clusters.

AMD + HF model and its application to Be isotopes

In order to study light unstable nuclei systematically, we propose a new method ''AMD + Hartree-Fock''. This method introduces the concept of the single particle orbits into the usual AMD. Applying AMD + HF to Be isotopes, it is found that the calculated lowest intrinsic states with plus and minus parities have rather good correspondence with the explanation by the two-center shell model. In addition, by active use of the single particle orbits extracted from AMD wave function, we construct the first excited 0^+ state of $^{10}$Be. The obtained state appears in the vicinity of the lowest 1^- state. This result is consistent with the experimental data.

Flow of Nucleons and Fragments in 40Ar + 27Al Collisions Studied with AMD

Collective transverse momentum flow of nucleons and fragments in intermediate energy 40Ar + 27Al collisions is calculated with the antisymmetrized molecular dynamics (AMD). The observed flow and its balance energy are reproduced very well by the calculation with the Gogny force which corresponds to the soft EOS of the nuclear matter. Especially the calculated absolute value of the fragment flow is larger than that of the nucleon flow in the negative flow region, which can be explained by the existence of two components of flow. In addition to many similarities, difference in the deuteron flow is found between 12C + 12C and 40Ar + 27Al collisions, and its origin is investigated by paying attention to the production mechanism of light fragments. We also investigate the dependence of the flow of nucleons and fragments on the stochastic collision cross section and the effective interaction, and conclude that the stiff EOS without momentum dependence of the mean field is not consistent to the experimental data.

Antisymmetrization of a Mean Field Calculation of the T-Matrix

The usual definition of the prior(post) interaction $V(V^\prime )$ between projectile and target (resp. ejectile and residual target) being contradictory with full antisymmetrization between nucleons, an explicit antisymmetrization projector ${\cal A}$ must be included in the definition of the transition operator, $ T\equiv V^\prime{\cal A}+V^\prime{\cal A}GV. $ We derive the suitably antisymmetrized mean field equations leading to a non perturbative estimate of $T$. The theory is illustrated by a calculation of forward $α$-$α$ scattering, making use of self consistent symmetries.

Momentum distribution of fragments in heavy ion reactions: Dependence on the stochastic collision process

Momentum distribution of fragments produced in 12C+12C reaction at 28.7 MeV/nucleon is analyzed with antisymmetrized version of molecular dynamics (AMD). Calculations are made for several cases of stochastic collisions and the projectile fragmentation peak in momentum distribution is reproduced by the incorporation of many-body nature in stochastic collision process. Furthermore the value of the cross section is found to be reflected in the low momentum part of fragments such as alpha particles and 9Be.
