A new anomaly free flipped 341 model

A new flipped $SU(3)_C\otimes SU(4)_L\otimes U(1)_X$ model without exotic electric charges is proposed. All the quarks families are arranged in the same representation while leptons generations are in different representations leading to a tree level FCNC. Moreover, It is shown that the cancellation of the triangle chiral anomalies requires new additional leptons 10-plet and quadruplet. All fermions masses have been also discussed. Furthermore, using the most recent experimental data of the branching ratios of $μ\to ee\bar{e}$ and $μ\to eγ$ rare decay modes, stringent bounds on the heavy neutral bosons masses and the muon-electron mixing matrix element are obtained.

Quantum walk transport properties on graphene structures

We present numerical studies of quantum walks on \C60 and related graphene structures, to investigate their transport properties. Also known as a \emph{honeycomb lattice}, the lattice formed by carbon atoms in the graphene phase can be rolled up to form nanotubes of various dimensions. Graphene nanotubes have many important applications, some of which rely on their unusual electrical conductivity and related properties. Quantum walks on graphs provide an abstract setting in which to study such transport properties independent of the other chemical and physical properties of a physical substance. They can thus be used to further the understanding of mechanisms behind such properties. We find that nanotube structures are significantly more efficient in transporting a quantum walk than cycles of equivalent size, provided the symmetry of the structure is respected in how they are used. We find faster transport on zig-zag nanotubes compared to armchair nanotubes, which is unexpected given that for the actual materials the armchair nanotube is metallic, while the zig-zag is semiconducting.

A model for leptogenesis at the TeV scale

We consider the mechanism of thermal leptogenesis at the TeV scale in the context of an extension of the Standard Model with 4 generations and the inclusion of four right-handed Majorana neutrinos. We obtain a value for the baryon asymmetry of the Universe in accordance with observations by solving the full set of coupled Boltzmann equations for this model.

Leptogenesis at the TeV scale

We consider a generic model with four gauge singlets which generates successfully the right amount of baryon asymmetry through leptogenesis at the TeV scale. It also reproduces left-handed neutrino masses compatible with present data. In the present work, we perform a study of thermal production mechanisms of the lightest right-handed neutrino $N_{1}$ responsible for the lepton asymmetry taking into account all dominant processes (decays, $ΔL = 1$ and $ΔL=2$ scatterings) by solving the full Boltzmann equations.
