Characterize the properties of $D_s^+$-meson decay constant and leptonic decays by using QCD sum rules within background field theory framework

The leptonic decays of the $D_s^+$-meson have received considerable attention in recent years. In this work, we perform a precise calculation of the decay constant $f_{D_s^+}$ using the QCD sum rules method within the background field theory framework. In our calculation, we fully include the quark propagator contributions up to dimension-six condensates. By adopting two different constraint schemes, we obtain $f_{D_s^+}^{\text{(I)}} = 253.0_{-3.1}^{+3.3}\ \text{MeV}$ and $f_{D_s^+}^{\text{(II)}} = 251.8_{-1.3}^{+1.4}\ \text{MeV}$, respectively, both of which are in good agreement with existing theoretical and experimental results. The conventional scheme follows the standard Borel window criteria, while the derivative scheme reduces the dependence of the decay constant on the Borel parameter through an auxiliary function. Based on these decay constants and incorporating the NLO electroweak radiative corrections, we further calculate the branching fractions for the three leptonic decay channels for both schemes. Combined with the latest branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to \mu^+ \nu_\mu)$ from the PDG, we extract the CKM matrix elements $|V_{cs}|^{\text{(I)}} = 0.967 \pm 0.012$ and $|V_{cs}|^{\text{(II)}} = 0.970 \pm 0.005$ from the two schemes, respectively.

Scrutinizing lepton flavor universality and transition form factor correlation from charmed meson semileptonic decay into light strange vector $K^*$ meson

In this paper, we calculate the transition form factors (TFFs) $A_{1,2}(q^2)$ and $V(q^2)$ of $D_s^+ \to K^{*0}$ decays by using the QCD light-cone sum rule (QCD LCSR) and constructing a correlation function containing the usual current, in which the twist-2 transverse and longitudinal light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs) $\phi^\lambda_{2;K^{*0}}(x,\mu_0)$ with $\lambda=(\bot,\|)$ of the $K^{*0}$ meson constitute the main source of theoretical uncertainty. Based on this, we construct these LCDAs using the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. Subsequently, the TFFs obtained in the large recoil region are $A_{1}(0)=0.579_{-0.028}^{+0.024}$, $A_{2}(0)=0.414_{-0.023}^{+0.021}$, and $V(0)=0.830_{-0.020}^{+0.020}$, and the corresponding ratios are obtained to be $r_V=1.433_{-0.090}^{+0.110}$ and $r_2=0.715_{-0.067}^{+0.075}$. Furthermore, we predict the correlation of TFFs and their corresponding ratios. Then, we extrapolate the TFFs over the whole physical $q^2$-region and calculate the decay widths and branching fractions for the semileptonic decays $D_s^+\to K^{*0}\ell^+\nu_{\ell}$. The results are $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^{*0}e^+\nu_{e})=(2.05_{-0.16}^{+0.13})\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to K^{*0}\mu^+\nu_{\mu})=(1.95_{-0.15}^{+0.13})\times 10^{-3}$. Meanwhile, we calculated the branching fraction ratio $\mathcal{R}_{\mu/e}^{K^{*0}}$ to be $0.950_{-0.002}^{+0.004}$. In addition, we extract values of the CKM matrix element, obtaining $|V_{cd}|_{(e\text{-Channel})} = 0.225_{-0.005}^{+0.005}$ and $|V_{cd}|_{(\mu\text{-Channel})} = 0.227_{-0.004}^{+0.011}$. Finally, we calculated the forward-backward asymmetry parameters for the $D_s^+\to K^{*0} \ell^+\nu_{\ell}$ decay.

Circuit and Krylov complexity of primordial perturbations of modified gravity in inflation

In this work, we investigate quantum complexity diagnostics of primordial curvature perturbations within the inflationary paradigm. We compare canonical scalar-field inflation with the modified gravity model $f(\phi,R)$, focusing on the evolution of the two-mode squeezed state generated by the coupling between the $\vec{k}$ and $-\vec{k}$ momentum sectors. Starting from the quadratic action for curvature perturbations, we derive the evolution equations for the squeezed strength $r_k$ and squeezed angle $\phi_k$, utilizing them to evaluate both circuit complexity and Krylov-space diagnostics. Specifically, we compute the Krylov complexity, Krylov entropy, Lanczos coefficients $b_n$, and an effective dissipative contribution $c_n$ within an open-system extension. Our numerical results demonstrate that the $f(\phi,R)$ coupling enhances the squeezed strength relative to the canonical scalar field inflation. Since the Krylov complexity of the two-mode squeezed state is directly controlled by the mean pair number ($K=\sinh^2 r_k$), this enhancement leads to a smaller growth in Krylov complexity and related Krylov-space quantities. Furthermore, circuit complexity displays a more pronounced evolution in the $f(\phi,R)$ framework, particularly after the horizon exit regime. Ultimately, our work sheds new light on the quantum complexity of modified gravity $f(\phi,R)$.

Addressing the lightest $S$-wave strange $K_0^*(700)/\kappa$ resonance in four-body semileptonic $\bar{B}_s^0 \to K^0\pi^+ \ell^-\bar{\nu}_\ell$ decays

As the lightest strange scalar resonance, $K_0^*(700)$ (also called $\kappa$) has a large width and resides close to the $K\pi$ threshold, leading to a longstanding debate about its internal structure. Within the framework of the conventional quark-antiquark ($q\bar{q}$) picture, this paper attempts to research the behaviors of $K_0^*(700)$ resonance in the four-body final state decays. Firstly, we investigates the $K_0^*(700)$ resonance one twist-2 and two twist-3 light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDAs), {\it i.e.} $\phi_{2;K_0^*(700)}(x, \mu)$ and $\phi_{3;K_0^*(700)}^{p;\sigma}(x, \mu)$ by constructing light-cone harmonic oscillator model. For the longitudinal distribution characteristics of the twist-2 LCDA, two typical parametrization schemes, {\it i.e.} $\varphi_{2;K_0^*(700)}^{\rm (S1)}(x)$ and $\varphi_{2;K_0^*(700)}^{\rm (S2)}(x)$, are adopted in this paper. Meanwhile, it has enriched theoretical predictions for the first ten-order LCDAs $\xi$-moments. Subsequently, we apply the QCD light-cone sum rules approach to compute the $\bar B_s^0 \to K_0^*(700)$ transition form factors (TFFs) $f_\pm^{\bar B_s^0 K_0^*(700)}(q^2)$ and $f_{\rm T}^{\bar B_s^0 K_0^*(700)}(q^2)$ by taking into account the perturbative $\mathcal{O}(\alpha_s)$ corrections to the twist-2 LCDAs terms. By using the simplified series expansion parameterization, these TFFs are extrapolated over the full physical region. Then, we calculate the differential decay widths and branching fractions for four-body semileptonic decay $\bar{B}_s^0 \to K^0\pi^+ \ell^-\bar{\nu}_\ell$ with $\ell= (e, \mu, \tau)$ via the $S$-wave $K_0^*(700)$ resonance, respectively. We expect that the obtained prediction results will provide valuable insights for future experiments and theoretical research.

$a_0(1450)$-state twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitude moments within QCD sum rules and its implication in $\bar B^0\to a_0(1450)^+\ell^-\bar\nu_\ell$ decays

Based on longstanding puzzle for the structure of light scalar meson, it is meaningful to make a deep research for its property in different decay processes especially in the bottom meson semileptonic decays. The current experimental and theoretical predictions are inclined to the quark-antiquark state in $B$-decays, which is also the basic starting point of this work. Firstly, the first five-order $a_0(1450)$-state leading-twist distribution amplitude $\xi$-moments are calculated by using the QCD sum rule within background field theory, which all the gluon-condensate and quark-condensate are calculated up to full dimension-six accuracy. We present the their values up to nineth-order at initial scale. Then we construct $a_0(1450)$-state twist-2 LCDA with light-cone harmonic oscillator models as the scenario 1 (S1), where the model parameters are determined by fitting the first five odd $\xi$-moments using the least squares method. On the other hand, the truncated form of Gegenbauer polynomials expansion up to second-order is also considered as the scenario 2 (S2) to make a comparison, where the relationship between Gegenbauer moments and LCDA moments are considered. Subsequently, we calculated the $\bar{B}^0 \to a_0(1450)^+$ transition form factors (TFFs) by using the light-cone sum rules approach, incorporating contributions from both twist-2 and twist-3 LCDAs. By extrapolating TFFs to the entire physical $q^2$-region with simplified series expansion, the differential decay width and branching ratios for the $\bar B^0\to a_0(1450)^+\ell^-\bar\nu_\ell$ semileptonic decay are obtained. Finally, we present three angular observables including forward-backward asymmetry, lepton polarization asymmetry and $q^2$-differential flat term.

Probing the equivalence of chiral LCSRs in $D \to \pi e \nu_e$ decays and extraction of $|V_{cd}|$

In the paper, we have carried out research on the $D\to\pi$ decay process. We employ two different currents to study the $D\to\pi$ transition form factors (TFFs) by using the light-cone sum rule within the framework of chiral current approach. Firstly, we follow the right-handed and left-handed currents for the correlators to present the expression of the vector form factors upto next-leading-order and leading-order accuracy, respectively. Here the twist-2 and twist-3 light-cone distribution amplitudes are constructed by the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. After exploring the TFFs into the whole physical $q^2$-region with the simplified $z$-series expansion, we obtain the branching fractions $\mathcal{B}(D^0\to \pi^-e^+\nu_e)_{\text{I}} = 0.31_{-0.05}^{+0.05}$, $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \pi^0e^+\nu_e)_{\text{I}} = 0.39_{-0.06}^{+0.06}$, $\mathcal{B}(D^0\to \pi^-e^+\nu_e)_{\text{II}} = 0.27_{-0.03}^{+0.05}$, $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \pi^0e^+\nu_e)_{\text{II}} = 0.34_{-0.04}^{+0.06}$, and extract the CKM matrix element $|V_{cd}|_{\text{I}} = ( 0.21^{+0.02}_{-0.02} )\times 10^{-2}$ as well as $|V_{cd}|_{\text{II}} = ( 0.23^{+0.02}_{-0.02}) \times 10^{-2}$. To verify the credibility of our calculations, these results are further compared with existing findings in the literature, showing good agreement within uncertainties.

Nature of $K^*(1680)$ and $q\bar{q}$-hybrid mixing as the SU(3) partner of $\eta_{1}(1855)$ in the strange sector

We presents an investigation of the $K^*(1680)$ state in its strong decays into two-body finial states within the flux-tube model and quark pair creation model. Since the charge conjugation parity is not conserved in the strange sector, the conventional $q\bar{q}$ states of $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(-)}$ can mix with the lowest hybrid states with $J^{P(C)}=1^{-(+)}$. Our analysis of the $K^*(1680)$ two-body strong decays indicates that the decay pattern of $K^*(1680)$ cannot be explained by the conventional $q\bar{q}$ scenario. Meanwhile, strong evidence shows the $q\bar{q}$-hybrid mixing mechanism in the strange sector. The phenomenological consequences of such a mixing are also discussed. Our study can provide a guidance for the future search for hybrid multiplets in experiment at BESIII, LHCb, and Belle-II.

Probing $D_s^+ \to \eta^{(\prime)} \ell^+\nu_\ell$ semileptonic decay within LCSR under chiral heavy quark effective field theory

Motivated by the successful application of Heavy Quark Effective Field Theory in describing decays from heavy to light mesons, this work explores its applicability to the semileptonic decays of charmed mesons. So in this paper we investigate the $D_s^+\to \eta^{(\prime)} \ell^+ \nu_\ell$ transition form factors using the light-cone sum rules approach within the framework of heavy-quark effective field theory. To address the large uncertainties arsing from the $\eta^{(\prime)}$-meson twist-3 distribution amplitudes, we employ the right-handed chiral correlation function. By applying the converging simplified series expansion method, we extrapolate the form factors to the entire physical $q^2$-region. Our analysis yields the branching fractions precise predictions for semi-leptonic decays $D_s^+\to \eta^{(\prime)}\ell^+\nu_\ell$ with : $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\eta \ell^+\nu_\ell)=2.300^{+0.230}_{-0.227}\%$ ($\ell = e$) and $2.249_{-0.206}^{+0.209}\%$ ($\ell = \mu$); $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\to\eta^\prime \ell^+\nu_\ell)=0.861^{+0.095}_{-0.093}\%$ ($\ell = e$) and $0.821^{+0.082}_{-0.080}\%$ ($\ell = \mu$). The derived lepton flavor universality ratios $R^{\eta}_{\mu,e}=0.977^{+0.008}_{-0.006}$ and $R^{\eta^{\prime}}_{\mu,e} = 0.953^{+0.011}_{-0.009}$ are consistent with lasted BESIII experimental measurements. Additionally, the forward-backward asymmetry parameters $\langle \mathcal{A}^{\eta}_{\rm FB}\rangle=-0.034^{+0.003}_{-0.003}$ and $\langle \mathcal{A}^{\eta^\prime}_{\rm FB}\rangle=-0.073^{+0.007}_{-0.008}$ suggest that no significant violation of lepton flavor universality in this decay process.

Probing the $\gamma\gamma^*\to \eta^{(\prime)}$ Transition Form Factors with Newly Derived $\eta^{(\prime)}$-Meson Light-Cone Distribution Amplitudes

In the present work, we analyze the properties of the transition form factors (TFFs) for the $\gamma\gamma^*\to \eta^{(\prime)}$ process, employing the $\eta^{(\prime)}$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) derived within the light-cone sum rule framework. To this end, we adopt the quark-flavor mixing scheme for the $\eta^{(\prime)}$ meson, and compute the TFFs by systematically incorporating transverse-momentum corrections and contributions beyond the leading Fock state. We utilize light-cone harmonic oscillator models to parameterize the longitudinal and transverse behavior of the leading-twist light-cone wavefunction, for which the corresponding LCDA exhibits a unimodal profile. We further examine the potential contributions of intrinsic charm components to the scaled TFFs $Q^2 F_{\eta\gamma}(Q^2)$ and $Q^2 F_{\eta^\prime \gamma}(Q^2)$. Leveraging a range of values for the decay constant $f_{\eta_{c_0}}$ and implementing the $\eta$-$\eta'$-$\eta_c$ and $\eta$-$\eta^\prime$-$G$-$\eta_c$ mixing mechanisms accordingly, together with the recently updated mixing angles, we investigate the impact of the intrinsic $c\bar{c}$ and gluonic component on these observables. In high-$Q^2$ regime, $Q^2 F_{\eta^\prime\gamma}(Q^2)$ exhibits a marked increase in sensitivity to the charm quark component, whereas $Q^2F_{\eta\gamma}(Q^2)$ becomes notably stabilized. A detailed discussion of $\chi^2/d.o.f$ and $p$-values indicates that the intrinsic charm quark component is important and yields a substantial, non-negligible contribution across the entire $Q^2$ range.

Non-perturbaitve effects for the isoscalar light vector $\omega$-meson in charmed meson semileptonic decays

Motivated by the renewed attention from the recent BESIII experiment on the semileptonic decay $D\to V \ell\nu_{\ell}$, we investigate semileptonic decay $D^+\to \omega \ell^+\nu_{\ell}$ within the framework of QCD light-cone sum rule in this work. By constructing correlation function with right-handed chiral current, the transverse twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDA) $\phi^{\perp}_{2;\omega}(x,\mu)$ dominates the contribution in TFFs. We study the properties of twist-2 LCDA $\phi^{\perp}_{2;\omega}(x,\mu)$ through light-cone harmonic oscillator model. Applying it to the TFFs, we obtained $A_1(0)$, $A_2(0)$, $V(0)$, and $A_0(0)$ at large recoil point. Two TFF ratios are $r_V=1.40^{+0.21}_{-0.19}$ and $r_2=1.01^{+0.17}_{-0.16}$. After extrapolating those TFFs to the whole physical $q^2$ region by using the simplified $z(q^2,t)$ series expansion, the ratio of longitudinal and transverse decay widths is $\Gamma_{\rm{L}}/\Gamma_{\rm{T}}=0.987^{+0.107}_{-0.121}$. Then, we get branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \omega e^+\nu_e)=(1.848^{+0.365}_{-0.330})\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \omega \mu^+\nu_{\mu})=(1.782^{+0.334}_{-0.303})\times 10^{-3}$, which is in good agreement with BESIII and CLEO Collaborations. Taking into account the secondary decay $\omega\to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0$, we predict branching fraction of five body decay as $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \omega(\to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)e^+\nu_{e})=(1.648^{+0.341}_{-0.305})\times 10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D^+\to \omega(\to \pi^+\pi^-\pi^0)\mu^+\nu_{\mu})=(1.589^{+0.313}_{-0.281})\times 10^{-3}$. Finally, we predict the forward-backward asymmetry $A_{\rm{FB}}^{\ell}$, lepton-side convexity parameter $C^{\ell}_{\rm{F}}$, longitudinal (transverse) polarization $P_{\rm{L}(\rm{T})}^{\ell}$, as well as longitudinal polarization fraction $F_{\rm{L}}^{\ell}$.

Searching the possibility of $a_0(1450)$ scalar state being a diquark structure via charmed meson semileptonic decays

The internal structure of light scalar state $a_0(1450)$ has not been definitively determined, it may consist of multiple possible states. Among them, it has the possibility of being regarded as a diquark state. Based on this possibility, we use QCD light-cone sum rules to study the semileptonic decay process $D \to a_0(1450)\ell \nu_\ell $ with $\ell=(e, \mu)$ to verify its rationality. Firstly, we construct two types of twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitude schemes based on the light-cone harmonic oscillator model, and present their moments $\langle\xi^{n}\rangle |_{\mu}$ and Gegenbauer moments $a_{n}(\mu)$ at $\mu_0=1~{\rm GeV}$ and $\mu_k= 1.4~{\rm GeV}$ for $n=(1,3,5)$. In the large recoil region, we obtain the transition form factors (TFFs): $f_+^{\rm (S1)}(0) = 0.836_{-0.116}^{+0.119}$, $f_+^{\rm (S2)}(0)=0.767_{-0.105}^{+0.106}$ and $f_-(0)=0.630_{-0.077}^{+0.078}$. A simplified series expansion $z(q^2, t)$ is used to extrapolate TFFs to the entire physical $q^2$-region. For $q^2=10^{-5} ~{\rm GeV}^2$, we compute angular distribution of the differential decay width ${d\Gamma}/{d\cos\theta_\ell }$ over the range $\cos\theta_\ell \in [-1,1]$. Subsequently, we obtain differential decay widths and branching fractions for $D^0 \to a_0(1450)^- \ell^+ \nu_\ell $ and $D^- \to a_0(1450)^0 \ell^- \bar{\nu}_\ell $, where the branching fractions being of order $10^{-6}$. Finally, we analyze three angular observables for the semileptonic decay process $D^- \to a_0(1450)^0 \ell^- \bar{\nu}_\ell $, the forward-backward asymmetry ${\cal A}_{\rm FB}$, lepton polarization asymmetry ${\cal A}_{\lambda_\ell}$ and $q^2$-differential flat term~${\cal F}_{\rm H}$.

Light-cone sum rules analysis of the semi-leptonic $D^+_s\to f_0(980)(\to\pi^+\pi^-)e^+\nu_e$ decay incorporating $f_0(980)$ mixing state twist-2 distribution amplitudes

The isospin-singlet scalar meson $f_0(980)$ is hypothesized to consist of two energy eigenstates, forming a mixture of $\frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}(\bar{u}u + \bar{d}d)$ and $\bar{s}s$. Building on this framework, we apply the QCD sum rules approach in the background field theory to compute the $f_0(980)$ decay constant, yielding $f_{f_0}(\mu_0=1\,\text{GeV}) = 0.386\pm0.009 \, \text{GeV}$. Subsequently, we derive the first two $\xi$-moments of the leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;f_0}$. Using QCD light-cone sum rules, we then calculate the $D^+_s \to f_0(980)$ transition form factor (TFF) $f_+(q^2)$, obtaining $f_+(0) = 0.516^{+0.027}_{-0.024}$ at the large-recoil point. We extend $f_+(q^2)$ to the full physical region via a simplified series expansion parameterization, enabling calculations of the differential decay widths and the branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(D^+_s \to f_0(980)(\to \pi^+\pi^-)e^+\nu_e) = (1.783^{+0.227}_{-0.189}) \times 10^{-3}$. Our theoretical predictions align well with the latest BESIII Collaboration measurements within reasonable errors.

Status of the $D_s^+\to\phi\ell^+\nu_\ell$ decay with a chiral-odd $\phi$-meson light-cone distribution amplitude

The twist-2 distribution amplitude of the $\phi$-meson has attracted considerable interest due to its unique properties. In this work, we construct the transverse leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;\phi}^\bot(x,\mu_0)$ of the $\phi$-meson using the light-cone harmonic oscillator model, in which a parameter $B_{2;\phi}^\bot$ dominantly control its longitudinal distribution. To explicitly isolate different twist contributions, we employ the right-handed chiral correlator for the QCD light-cone sum rules calculation of $D_s^+\to\phi$ decays, and further, we get the branching fraction, $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to \phi e^+\nu_e )= (2.271_{-0.243}^{+0.291})\times 10^{-2}$ and $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+ \to \phi \mu^+\nu_\mu )=(2.250_{-0.240}^{+0.287})\times 10^{-2}$, where errors are squared average of the mentioned error sources. Furthermore, we have extracted the Cabbibo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix element $|V_{cs}|=0.975_{-0.066}^{+0.067}$ with improved precision through the analysis. Finally, we calculated the polarization parameter and asymmetry parameter for the $D_s^+\to\phi$ decays.

Exploring the exclusive decay $B^+\to \omega\ell^+\nu$ with light-cone sum rules

In this paper, we calculate the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa matrix element $|V_{ub}|$ by the semileptonic decay $B^+\to \omega\ell^+\nu$. For the transition form factors (TFFs) $A_1(q^2)$, $A_2(q^2)$, and $V(q^2)$ of $B^+\to \omega$, we employ the QCD light-cone sum rules method for calculation, and by constructing the correlation function using left-handed chiral current, we make the $\delta^1$-order twist-2 light-cone distribution amplitudes (LCDA) $\phi^\| _{2;\omega}(x,\mu)$ dominate the contribution, in which the twist-2 LCDA $\phi^\| _{2;\omega}(x,\mu)$ is constructed by the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. Then, we obtain $A_1(0)=0.209^{+0.049}_{-0.042}$, $A_2(0)=0.206^{+0.051}_{-0.042}$, and $V(0)=0.258^{+0.058}_{-0.048}$ at the large recoil region. Two important ratios of TFFs are $r_V=1.234_{-0.322}^{+0.425}$ and $r_2=0.985_{-0.274}^{+0.347}$. After extrapolating TFFs to the whole physical $q^2$ region by a simplified $z(q^2,t)$-series expansion, we obtain the differential decay width and branching fraction $\mathcal{B}(B^+\to \omega\ell^+\nu)=(1.35^{+0.02+1.22}_{-0.03-0.66})\times 10^{-4}$, which show good agreement with \textit{BABAR} and Belle Collaborations. Finally, we extract the $|V_{ub}|$ by using the $\mathcal{B}_{\rm{Exp}}(B^+\to \omega\ell^+\nu)$ result from the \textit{BABAR} Collaboration, which leads to $|V_{ub}|=(3.66^{+0.12+1.26}_{-0.17-0.95})\times 10^{-3}$.

$\eta_c$ leading-twist distribution amplitude and the $B_c \to \eta_c\ell\bar\nu_\ell$ semileptonic decays using QCD Sum Rules

In this paper, we investigate the semileptonic decays $B_c \to \eta_c\ell\bar\nu_\ell$ using the quantum chromodynamics(QCD) sum rules within the framework of Standard Model (SM). We further explore the potential to probe signatures of new Physics (NP) beyond the SM through these decays. First, we derive the $\xi$-moments $\langle\xi_{2;\eta_c}^{n}\rangle$ of the $\eta_c$-meson leading-twist distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;\eta_c}$ using the QCD sum rules within the background field theory. Considering contributions from the vacuum condensates up to dimension-six, the first two nonzero $\xi$-moments at the scale of $4$ GeV are found to be $\langle\xi_{2;\eta_c}^{2}\rangle = 0.103^{+0.009}_{-0.009}$ and $\langle\xi_{2;\eta_c}^{4}\rangle = 0.031^{+0.003}_{-0.003}$. Using these moments, we then fix the Gegenbauer expansion series of $\phi_{2;\eta_c}$ and apply it to compute the $B_c \to \eta_c$ transition form factors (TFFs) using QCD light cone sum rules. Second, we extrapolate those TFFs to physically allowable $q^2$-range via a simplified series expansion, and we obtain $R_{\eta_c}|_{\rm SM} = 0.308^{+0.084}_{-0.062}$. Furthermore, we explore the potential impacts of various NP scenarios on $R_{\eta_c}$. Specifically, we compute the forward-backward asymmetry $\mathcal{A}_{\rm FB}({q^2})$, the convexity parameter $\mathcal{C}_F^\tau ({q^2})$, and the longitudinal and transverse polarizations $\mathcal{P}_L ({q^2})$ and $\mathcal{P}_T ({q^2})$ for $B_c \to \eta_c$ transitions within both the SM and two types of NP scenarios. Our results contribute to a deeper understanding of $B_c$-meson semileptonic decays and provide insights into the search for the NP beyond the SM.

Probing $D_s^*$-meson longitudinal twist-2 LCDA

In this paper, we carry on an investigation of the semileptonic decays $B_s\to D_s^*\ell \bar\nu_{\ell}$. Firstly, we derive the moments of the $D_s^*$-meson longitudinal leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) based on QCD sum rules within background field theory framework. Considering the contributions of the vacuum condensates up to dimension-six, its first ten non-zero $\xi$-moments are given. Meanwhile, we construct the $D_s^*$-meson longitudinal leading-twist LCDA by using the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. Then, using those moments, we fix the model parameters $\alpha_{2;D_s^*}$ and $B_1^{2;D_s^*}$ by the least square method and apply them to calculate $B_s \to D_s^*$ transition form factors $A_1(q^2), A_2(q^2)$ and $V(q^2)$ that are derived by using the QCD light-cone sum rules. At the large recoil region, we obtain $A_1(0) =0.632_{-0.135}^{+0.228}, A_2(0) =0.706_{-0.092}^{+0.109}$ and $V(0) =0.647_{-0.069}^{+0.076}$. Those form factors are then extrapolated to the allowed whole physical $q^2$-region through the simplified series expansion. Finally, we obtain the branching fractions for the two decay channels $B_s\to D_s^*\ell\bar\nu_\ell$, $\it i.e.$ ${\cal B}(B_s^0 \to D_s^{*+}e^-\bar\nu_e)=(5.45_{-1.57}^{+2.15})\times 10^{-2}$, ${\cal B}(B_s^0 \to D_s^{*+}\mu^-\bar\nu_\mu)=(5.43_{-1.57}^{+2.14})\times 10^{-2}$.

Longitudinal leading-twist distribution amplitude of the $^1P_1$-state $b_1(1235)$ meson and its implications on $B\to b_1(1235)\ell^+\nu_\ell$ decays

In the paper, we derive the $\xi$-moments $\langle\xi_{2;b_1}^{n;\|}\rangle$ of the longitudinal leading-twist distribution amplitude $\phi_{2;b_1}^{\|}$ for $^1P_1$-state $b_1(1235)$-meson by using the QCD sum rules under the background field theory. Considering the contributions from the vacuum condensates up to dimension-six, its first two non-zero $\xi$-moments at the scale 1 GeV are $\langle\xi_{2;b_1}^{1;\|}\rangle= -0.647^{+0.118}_{-0.113}$ and $\langle\xi_{2;b_1}^{3;\|}\rangle = -0.328^{+0.055}_{-0.052}$, respectively. Using those moments, we then fix the Gegenbauer expansion series of $\phi_{2;b_1}^{\|}$ and apply it to calculate $B\to b_1(1235)$ transition form factors (TFFs) that are derived by using the QCD light-cone sum rules. Those TFFs are then extrapolated to the physically allowable $q^2$-range via the simplified series expansion. As for the branching fractions, we obtain ${\cal B}(\bar B^0 \to b_1^+(1235)e^- \bar\nu_e) = 2.179^{+0.553}_{-0.422}\times 10^{-4}$, ${\cal B}(B^0 \to b_1^-(1235)\mu^+\nu_\mu) = 2.166^{+0.544}_{-0.415}\times 10^{-4}$, ${\cal B}(B^+ \to b_1^0(1235)e^+\nu_e) = 2.353^{+0.597}_{-0.456}\times 10^{-4}$, and ${\cal B}(B^+ \to b_1^0(1235)\mu^+\nu_\mu) = 2.339^{+0.587}_{-0.448}\times 10^{-4}$, respectively.

Footprint in fitting $B \to D$ vector form factor and determination for $D$-meson leading-twist LCDA

In this paper, we fit the $B\to D$ vector transition form factor (TFF) by using the data measured by \textsl{BABAR} and Belle Collaborations within Monte Carlo (MC) method. Meanwhile, the $B\to D$ TFF is also calculated by using the QCD light-cone sum rules approach (LCSRs) within right-handed chiral current correlation function. In the TFF, $D$-meson leading-twist light-cone distribution amplitude (LCDA) is the most important non-perturbative input parameter, the precise behavior of which is mainly determined by the parameter $B_{2;D}$ in the light-cone harmonic oscillator model. Through fitting the TFF, we determine the value $B_{2;D}=0.445$. Then, we present the curve of $D$-meson leading-twist LCDA in comparison with other theoretical approaches. Subsequently, the $B\to D$ TFF $f_{+}^{BD}(q^2)$ at the large recoil region is $f_{+}^{BD}(0)=0.648_{-0.063}^{+0.067}$, which is compared in detail with theoretical estimates and experimental measurements. Furthermore, we calculated the decay width and branching fractions of the Cabibbo-favored semileptonic decays $B\to D\ell^+\nu_{\ell}$, which lead to the results $\mathcal{B}(B^0\to D^-\ell ^+\nu _{\ell}) =(2.10_{-0.38}^{+0.44})\times 10^{-2}$ and $\mathcal{B}(B^+\to \bar{D}^0\ell ^+\nu _{\ell}) =(2.26_{-0.41}^{+0.48})\times 10^{-2}$. Finally, we predict the CKM matrix element with two scenarios $|V_{cb}|_{\rm SR}=41.55_{-4.50}^{+4.91}\times 10^{-3}$ and $|V_{cb} |_{\rm MC}=41.47_{-2.66}^{+2.55 }\times 10^{-3}$ from $B^0\to D^-\ell^+\nu_{\ell}$, $|V_{cb}|_{\rm SR}=40.54_{-3.80}^{+4.33}\times 10^{-3}$ and $|V_{cb} |_{\rm MC}=40.46_{-1.38}^{+1.40}\times 10^{-3}$ from $B^+\to \bar{D}^0\ell^+\nu_{\ell}$ which are in good agreement with theoretical and experimental predictions.
