In this short note, we show that the assumption "convex" in Theorem 7 of Brendle-Eichmair's paper \cite{BE} is unnecessary.

In this paper, we first use the method of Colding and Minicozzi [5] to show that K. Smoczyk's classification theorem [16] for complete self-shrinkers in higher codimension also holds under a weaker condition. Then as an application, we give some rigidity results for self-shrinkers in arbitrary codimension.
In this paper, we first prove a compactness theorem for the space of closed embedded $f$-minimal surfaces of fixed topology in a closed three-manifold with positive Bakry-Émery Ricci curvature. Then we give a Lichnerowicz type lower bound of the first eigenvalue of the $f$-Laplacian on compact manifold with positive $m$-Bakry-Émery Ricci curvature, and prove that the lower bound is achieved only if the manifold is isometric to the $n$-shpere, or the $n$-dimensional hemisphere. Finally, for compact manifold with positive $m$-Bakry-Émery Ricci curvature and $f$-mean convex boundary, we prove an upper bound for the distance function to the boundary, and the upper bound is achieved if only if the manifold is isometric to an Euclidean ball.
We prove that any constant mean curvature embedded torus in the three dimensional sphere is axially symmetric, and use this to give a complete classification of such surfaces for any given value of the mean curvature.
We prove a non-collapsing property for curvature flows of embedded hypersurfaces in the sphere and in hyperbolic space.
In this paper, we formulate the notion of the $\mathcal{F}$-stability of self-shrinking solutions to mean curvature flow in arbitrary codimension. Then we give some classifications of the $\mathcal{F}$-stable self-shrinkers in arbitrary codimension, in codimension one case, our results reduce to Colding-Minicozzi's results.
We consider gradient estimates to positive solutions of porous medium equations and fast diffusion equations: $$u_t=Δ_ϕ(u^p)$$ associated with the Witten Laplacian on Riemannian manifolds. Under the assumption that the $m$-dimensional Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature is bounded from below, we obtain gradient estimates which generalize the results in [20] and [13]. Moreover, inspired by X. -D. Li's work in [19] we also study the entropy formulae introduced in [20] for porous medium equations and fast diffusion equations associated with the Witten Laplacian. We prove monotonicity theorems for such entropy formulae on compact Riemannian manifolds with non-negative $m$-dimensional Bakry-Emery Ricci curvature
We prove a lower bound estimate for the first non-zero eigenvalue of the Witten-Laplacian on compact Riemannian manifolds. As an application, we derive a lower bound estimate for the diameter of compact gradient shrinking Ricci solitons. Our results improve some previous estimates which were obtained by the first author and Y. Sano in [12], and by B. Andrews and L. Ni in [1]. Moreover, we extend the diameter estimate to compact self-similar shrinkers of mean curvature flow.
In this paper, we prove a classification theorem for self-shrinkers of the mean curvature flow with $|A|^2\le 1$ in arbitrary codimension. In particular, this implies a gap theorem for self-shrinkers in arbitrary codimension.
We obtain a Calabi-Yau type lower volume growth estimates for complete noncompact self-shrinkers of the mean curvature flow, more precisely, every complete noncompact properly immersed self-shrinker has at least linear volume growth.
We obtain a new differentiable sphere theorem for compact Lagrangian submanifolds in complex Euclidean space and complex projective space.
In this paper, we introduce the concept of quasi Yamabe gradient solitons, which generalizes the concept of Yamabe gradient solitons. By using some ideas in [7,8], we prove that $n$-dimensional $(n\geq3)$ complete quasi Yamabe gradient solitons with vanishing Weyl curvature tensor and positive sectional curvature must be rotationally symmetric. We also prove that any compact quasi Yamabe gradient solitons are of constant scalar curvature.
In this paper we study gradient estimates for the positive solutions of the porous medium equation: $$u_t=Δu^m$$ where $m>1$, which is a nonlinear version of the heat equation. We derive local gradient estimates of the Li-Yau type for positive solutions of porous medium equations on Riemannian manifolds with Ricci curvature bounded from below. As applications, several parabolic Harnack inequalities are obtained. In particular, our results improve the ones of Lu, Ni, Vázquez and Villani in [10]. Moreover, our results recover the ones of Davies in [4], Hamilton in [5] and Li and Xu in [7].
Let $x:M\to\mathbb{S}^{n+1}(1)$ be an n-dimensional compact hypersurface with constant scalar curvature $n(n-1)r,~r\geq 1$, in a unit sphere $\mathbb{S}^{n+1}(1),~n\geq 5$. We know that such hypersurfaces can be characterized as critical points for a variational problem of the integral $\int_MH dv$ of the mean curvature $H$. In this paper, we derive an optimal upper bound for the second eigenvalue of the Jacobi operator $J_s$ of $M$. Moreover, when $r>1$, the bound is attained if and only if $M$ is totally umbilical and non-totally geodesic, when $r=1$, the bound is attained if $M$ is the Riemannian product $\mathbb{S}^{m}(c)\times\mathbb{S}^{n-m}(\sqrt{1-c^2}),~1\leq m\leq n-2,~c=\sqrt{\frac{(n-1)m+\sqrt{(n-1)m(n-m)}}{n(n-1)}}$.
In this note, we obtain the sharp estimates for the first eigenvalue of Paneitz operator for $4$-dimensional compact submanifolds in Euclidean space. Since unit spheres and projective spaces can be canonically imbedded into Euclidean space, the corresponding estimates for the first eigenvalue are also obtained.
For $n\geq 7$, we give the optimal estimate for the second eigenvalue of Paneitz operators for compact $n$-dimensional submanifolds in an $(n+p)$-dimensional space form.
Starting from two Lagrangian immersions and a Legendre curve $\tildeγ(t)$ in $\mathbb{S}^3(1)$ (or in $\mathbb{H}_1^3(1)$), it is possible to construct a new Lagrangian immersion in $\mathbb{CP}^n$ (or in $\mathbb{CH}^n$), which is called a warped product Lagrangian immersion. When $\tildeγ(t)=(r_1e^{i(\frac{r_2}{r_1}at)}, r_2e^{i(- \frac{r_1}{r_2}at)})$ (or $\tildeγ(t)=(r_1e^{i(\frac{r_2}{r_1}at)}, r_2e^{i(\frac{r_1}{r_2}at)})$), where $r_1$, $r_2$, and $a$ are positive constants with $r_1^2+r_2^2=1$ (or $-r_1^2+r_2^2=-1$), we call the new Lagrangian immersion a Calabi product Lagrangian immersion. In this paper, we study the inverse problem: how to determine from the properties of the second fundamental form whether a given Lagrangian immersion of $\mathbb{CP}^n$ or $\mathbb{CH}^n$ is a Calabi product Lagrangian immersion. When the Calabi product is minimal, or is Hamiltonian minimal, or has parallel second fundamental form, we give some further characterizations.
In this note, we compute the second variational formula for the functional $\int_M v^{(6)}(g)dv_g$, which was introduced by Graham-Juhl and the first variational formula was obtained by Chang-Fang. We also prove that Einstein manifolds (with dimension $\ge 7$) with positive scalar curvature is a strict local maximum within its conformal class, unless the manifold is isometric to round sphere with the standard metric up to a multiple of constant. Note that when $(M,g)$ is locally conformally flat, this functional reduces to the well-studied $\int_M σ_3(g)dv_g$. Hence, our result generalize a previous result of Jeff Viaclovsky without the locally conformally flat restraint.
