Note on the matter coupling in Exotic General Massive 3D Gravity

In this work, within exterior algebra formalism, we revisit and study the matter coupling in Exotic General Massive 3D Gravity (EGMG), previously introduced in \cite{ozkan_1}. Considering that the matter Lagrangian is both metric co-frame and connection dependent in general, we explicitly construct associated source 2-form by algebraically solving auxiliary 1-form fields in terms of gravitational field variables, energy-momentum and hyper-momentum 2-forms. It is seen that that the source 2-form involves terms that are quadratic in energy-momentum and hyper-momentum 2-forms as well as terms that depend on covariant derivatives of them. In addition, we derive the consistency relation in order that matter-coupled EGMG field equation be third-way consistent. In general, the consistency requires a particular relation that should be satisfied by energy-momentum and hyper-momentum 2-forms. We note that our construction and formalism allows to investigate non-minimal matter couplings with gravitational fields. It also enables to construct the higher order curvature extensions of EGMG.

A note on the pp-wave solution of Minimal Massive 3D Gravity coupled with Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory

In this work, we examine a family of $pp$-wave solutions of Minimal Massive 3d Gravity (MMG) minimally coupled with the Maxwell-Chern-Simons theory. An elaborate investigation of the field equations shows that the theory admits $pp$-wave solutions provided that there exist an anti-self duality relation between the electric and the magnetic components of the Maxwell 2-form field. By employing Noether-Wald formalism, we also construct Noether charges of the theory within exterior algebra formalism.

Matter coupling in Minimal Massive 3D Gravity and spinor-matter interactions in exterior algebra formalism

In this work, by employing the exterior algebra formalism, we study the matter coupling in Minimal Massive 3D Gravity (MMG) by first considering that the matter Lagrangian is connection-independent and then considering that the matter coupling is connection-dependent. The matter coupling in MMG has been previously investigated in the work Arvanitakis {\it et al} (2014 {\it Class. Quantum Grav.} {\bf 31} 235012) in tensorial notation where the matter Lagrangian is considered to be connection-independent. In the first part of the present paper, we revisit the connection-independent matter coupling by using the language of differential forms. We derive the MMG field equation and construct the related source 2-form. We also obtain the consistency relation within this formalism. Next, we examine the case where the matter Lagrangian is connection-dependent. In particular, we concentrate on the spinor-matter coupling and obtain the MMG field equation by explicitly constructing the source term. We also get the consistency relation that the source term should satisfy in order that spinor-matter coupled MMG equation be consistent.

The equatorial motion of the charged test particles in Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime

In this work, we perform a detailed analysis of the equatorial motion of the charged test particles in Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime. By working out the orbit equation in the radial direction, we examine possible orbit types. We investigate the conditions for existence of bound orbits in causality-preserving region as well as the conditions for existence of circular orbits for charged and uncharged particles. We also study the effect of NUT parameter on Newtonian orbits. Finally, we give exact analytical solutions of equations of equatorial motion for a charged test particle.

Motion of the charged test particles in Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime and analytical solutions

In this work, we study the motion of charged test particles in Kerr-Newman-Taub-NUT spacetime. We analyze the angular and the radial parts of the orbit equations and examine the possible orbit types. We also investigate the spherical orbits and their stabilities. Furthermore, we obtain the analytical solutions of the equations of motion and express them in terms of Jacobian and Weierstrass elliptic functions. Finally, we discuss the observables of the bound motion and calculate the perihelion shift and Lense-Thirring effect for three dimensional bound orbits.

Dirac equation in Kerr-Taub NUT spacetime

We study Dirac equation in Kerr-Taub-NUT spacetime. We use Boyer-Lindquist coordinates and separate the resulting equations into radial and angular parts. We get some exact analytical solutions of the angular equations for some special cases. We also obtain the radial wave equations with an effective potential. Finally we discuss the potentials by plotting them as a function of radial distance in a physically acceptable region.

Finite mass gravitating Yang monopoles

We show that gravity cures the infra-red divergence of the Yang monopole when a proper definition of conserved quantities in curved backgrounds is used, i.e. the gravitating Yang monopole in cosmological Einstein theory has a finite mass in generic even dimensions (including time). In addition, we find exact Yang-monopole type solutions in the cosmological Einstein-Gauss-Bonnet-Yang-Mills theory and briefly discuss their properties.

Kerr-Taub-NUT Spacetime with Maxwell and Dilaton Fields

We present an exact solution describing a stationary and axisymmetric object with electromagnetic and dilaton fields. The solution generalizes the usual Kerr-Taub-NUT (Newman-Unti-Tamburino) spacetime in general relativity and is obtained by boosting this spacetime in the fifth dimension and performing a Kaluza-Klein reduction to four dimensions. We also discuss the physical parameters of this solution and calculate its gyromagnetic ratio.

Gravitational charges of transverse asymptotically AdS spacetimes

Using Killing-Yano symmetries, we construct conserved charges of spacetimes that asymptotically approach to the flat or Anti-de Sitter spaces only in certain directions. In D dimensions, this allows one to define gravitational charges (such as mass and angular momenta densities) of p-dimensional branes/solitons or any other extended objects that curve the transverse space into an asymptotically flat or AdS one. Our construction answers the question of what kind of charges the antisymmetric Killing-Yano tensors lead to.

Negative Mass Solitons in Gravity

We first reconstruct the conserved (Abbott-Deser) charges in the spin connection formalism of gravity for asymptotically (Anti)-de Sitter spaces, and then compute the masses of the AdS soliton and the recently found Eguchi-Hanson solitons in generic odd dimensions, unlike the previous result obtained for only five dimensions. These solutions have negative masses compared to the global AdS or AdS/Z_p spacetimes. As a separate note, we also compute the masses of the recent even dimensional Taub-NUT-Reissner-Nordstrom metrics.
